Wonderful town and chalet

  • 5 of 5

We had a delightful stay in Murren at the Grand Chalet. The views were spectacular, the town was delightful and the chalet was comfortable, roomy and well supplied. And the booking logistics and support were all very good.

Two families skiing during school holidays

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Grande Chalet with another family and had a brilliant ski holiday. The downstairs TV room, with the DVDs, games and bean bags was perfect for the little ones after skiing and our kids loved the bunks with the curtains and personal lights. The apartment itself is stunning and stylish but not too terrifying to have little children in! The chalet is ideally situated as it is easy to get to from the supermarket and ski lifts but is set back just enough to give you expansive views. Would definitely book again and recommend as suitable for families sharing.

Number One Murren

  • 5 of 5

This is without doubt Murren's top chalet. Occupying the top 2 floors of a completely updated old chalet with breathtaking all round views from every balcony and encompassing all the latest equipment and technology. Yet in the center of the enduring car free old world charm of this historic village.

Mürren Magic!

  • 5 of 5

Over the years we've been to Mürren many times. It really is a hidden gem, a hideaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and a place that once you have visited, you will want to go back. It is perfect all year round, but, for me running or cycling in the summer in the mountains is pure magic. For us, however, the major downside of Mürren is that some of the local hotels are a little dated and the rooms (and bathrooms) are very small. Le Grand Chalet is a breath of fresh air and I can't recommend it more highly. It has the style of a five star boutique hotel but with the space and privacy of a luxury private home.

The large open living room upstairs is perfect for long evenings and I have many great memories of sitting on one of the balconies with a glass of rosé. The snug downstairs also means children or husbands (!) can escape and watch a film, allowing the whole family to spread out which is where hotels and other chalets just can't compete. The bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept on, amazing mattress, duvets and pillows - for me a perfect holiday starts with an amazing night's sleep. If you want to feel like you've been to the coolest hotel, sleep like a baby and breath air that will wipe away all the stress of a busy life then Le Grand Chalet is the perfect place.

The perfect Spring/ Summer holiday

  • 5 of 5

A truly magical stay. The chalet is so comfortable and stylish.Delicious beds, great water pressure and plenty of space for two families. Drop dead veiws and a charming village.I don't ski but it is the perfect spring/summer break. Wonderful walks, fresh air and extraordinary cable car trips.

The whole set up couldnt be better. I would recommend this chalet to any age group.Looking forward to a return trip.

Beautiful Home! Absolutely Picturesque Location.

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful chalet in a stunning location. The owners were charming and responsive. The local agent was very helpful and kind in making our stay both comfortable as well as productive given all the helpful info she shared with us. We had a memorable family time filled with great hikes (some right from the house), lovely weather and some of the prettiest scenery in the world.

We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Ben and Claire for opening your lovely home to us. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
