2 bedroom property to sleep 4 quiet location on the outskirts of Stoke on Trent

The living-space comprises of a fitted kitchen and a comfortably furnished, large sitting room with an adjacent smaller lounge. Upstairs you will find the two bedrooms along with the bathroom which contains a bath and electric shower.

There is full gas central heating and a gas fire in the lounge. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. The house has all the amenities that you would expect including a colour TV with ‘freeview’ video/DVD player . All fuel and power is included in the rent as is the bed linen.

The property has a secluded private garden with seating and has on site car parking. Pets are welcome for a small additional fee. The house is situated with a convenience store at one end of the street and a pub at the other. The pub is called “The Lightwood Tavern” which is no more than 100 yards away, and they do great 2 for 1 meal deals. Please note there is an info pack on the hall table including leaflets of numerous visitor attractions.

Comfortable, spacious, cosy

Loved our long stay in this excellent cosy cottage. Fantastic views and great location. Accommodation is comfortable, spacious and has everything you could possibly need. Lovely and welcoming owners, always available to answer any queries. Would definitely stay again and highly recommended this peaceful property with many local attractions.

Great Christmas Break

We had a lovely pre Christmas break in this very comfortable house,

it was warm and cozy,the cleanliness of the property was excellent. the house had everything that we needed. It is decorated in 80 nostalgic style. It was very close to all amentities and walking distance from a nice pub which serves great value food. It is also not far from Trentham Gardens which was so pretty at Christmas. The only little problem for us is that the second bedroom did not have twin beds and my teenage son and daughter had to share, but nevertheless we had a great time and would not hesitate to return. Brillient value for money.

A home away from home

A warm and comfortable home that will truly allow the feeling on belonging in a neighbourhood. Much better than staying in hotels. Safe back garden for children. This part of Staffordshire has loads to offer and to enjoy...not just that it is close to Alton Towers. Close to good shopping areas and family pubs. The Gladstone Museum in Longton is a must see to get to know the history of the potteries. Recommend it for couples or families.

Clean ,cosy & very comfortable

We really enjoyed our 2 weeks in the house. It was 80´s style but very comfortable & clean. Everything you would need was available in the house with easy access to the motorway. Beautiful views out of the bedroom windows, will definately recommend friends & will be coming again next year.

Brilliant choice of property, location is ideal for all the attractions within the area. The house itself is very clean, comfortable and homely, the kids had a great time exploring the cupboards and units, however if you want modern this is not for you the decor and layout are 60's - 70's. I think that is why we enjoyed it so much, I think its down to nostalgia it brings back memories of of my childhood when we lived as family with all the in house entertainment in one room, no escape for the kids to go on facebook. We played good old fashioned games, cards, dominoes, connect 4. That was after we returned from the pub circa 9.15. The pub is ideal mid-week, there is almost noboby in, which was great because we could play pool and watch sport on the TV until the kids had to leave at 9.00 due to law, however they weren't strick, they didn't ask us to leave and we normally left when we finished our game.

It tells you on website there is a hairdryer provided, unfortunately I mistakenly packed it, presuming it was my wife's. I have e-mailed Rob the owner to reimburse him but I am sorry until he has a chance to replace it I suggest you take your own.

Just to summarise don't hesitate in booking this rental you won;t regret it.

The cottage is spacious, comfortable and was central for us. The contact with the owner was brilliant. I would recommend it to anybody. We are going back there soon.

Nearest Barpub : Lightwood Tavern at 100 Metres Nearest Motorway : 15 M6 at 4 Miles Car: recommended

Located in the heart of England the amount of attractions within short driving distance of the property are too numerous to list but include Alton Towers, Lichfield Cathedral, Chatsworth House etc (Google ‘Staffordshire Attractions’ to see what I mean!) and not far from Cheshire, Derbyshire and The Peak District.

Close by you will find Trentham Gardens, Monkey Forest, along with Gladstone Pottery Museum and other places associated with the potteries industrial heritage.

You will also find attractions like Stapeley Water Gardens, Bridgemere Garden World, Cotebrook Shirehorse Centre, Ironbridge, and Bakewell (home of the famous tart) all near by.

We are sure that when you have stayed once you will want to return again and again.

Easily Accessible from the M6 Motorway.
