Great Location for the National Mall

Great 1 bed apartment in a fabulous location for exploring Washington DC. It was our first visit to DC so wanted to stay somewhere close to the National Mall with good transport links. This property has it all!! We walked from Union Station as wanted to explore the neighbourhood. It was a short 20-25 min walk through a residential area. We loved the area and how close it was to the National Mall, Eastern Market ( for subway and food markets) and to the Circulator bus routes (Handy for exploring the National Mall and getting to Georgetown). Ann came to see us on our first evening. We had taken Ann's advice and ordered a food delivery as we planned to eat at home in the evenings. Ann helped by supplying some additional oven tins and utensils. Also supplied PGTips teabags which was very kind (I am a tea drinker from the UK). Apartment big enough for two people. Large living room with tasteful decor and comfy seating. Bedroom with good wardrobe space. Access to washer and dryer. This was a life saver for us as we were travelling. We made good use of the laundry facilities. And replaced the detergent that we used. The kitchen had all the basics needed for cooking - oil, salt, pepper plus tin foil. We were grateful for the tea, coffee and milk left for us as were able to have a drink while waiting for food delivery. We hired a zip car for one day. This was located nearby and very convenient. We plan to recommend this property to family and friends travelling to DC. If we return, we would certainly book again. Great location and good value. Thanks Ann!

Great comfortable apartment.

Thank you Anne for allowing us the use of your apartment. It was clean, spacious, well equipped and extremely comfortable. The location was perfect for easy accessibilty to all the well known tourist places we wished to visit. We found the maps and general information you provided in the apartment made it easy for us to orientate ourselves to our surroundings, for access to shops and the subway. We very much appreciated you making yourself available should we experience any difficulties and this helped to make our first visit to Washington and the USA a pleasurable experience. My husband and I certainly enjoyed our stay in your apartment and have no hesitation in recommending it to our friends and relatives or staying there again ourselves. Regards Dave and Gwenda

Very nice. Neighborhood host was an excellent communicator and lodging was great!

The property was in a nice neighborhood with a lot of beautiful architecture in the row houses and it was walking distance to things like the Eastern market and other locations you might want to visit. The check-in and lockout procedures were very simple. Also. I was able to meet the host and she was very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely consider staying at this VRBO again.
