Great location for Yosemite
Great location for a visit to the Yosemite area. The condo is very clean and you are really made to feel at home. Irene left items in the fridge and little gifts for the stay. She also provides a great coffee machine with a variety of coffees. You will not be disappointed and will be amazed at just how much "bear products have been bought and on display in the condo. The local supermarket is just behind Burger King on the main road. It is also worth dropping in at the visitor information centre (again on the main road) who went out of their way to assist us in our visit to Yosemite. Several local restaurants were also very good.

More than just the bear necessities
A well-equipped and cared for property in a quiet location in Mariposa. Very spacious and comfortable. A good base for Yosemite. Easy access, and good communication from Irene. An individual style of decoration, almost over-bearing, but amusing. We would consider it again. Mariposa appears to offer a range of facilities for the traveller, although we chose to cook at the property, in the well furnished kitchen.

Yosemite Stay
It was so nice and clean! Parking was very easy and felt safe. Quiet area and a nice drive into the park. I would recommend to anyone looking for something a little outside the park that is comfortable with everything you need! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Yosemite base
The Bear Retreat served our purpose well, for a base to visit Yosemite and Sierra NP’s. Everything was as described in the listing, the noise from the upstairs apartment was noticeable but minimal. The only issue was with the satellite Dish TV. With a couple days of heavy cloud cover we were unable to receive a signal, I did have my Firestick so was able to stream TV over the internet.
