Peaceful
Very peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed all the windows, looking out onto the snow and frozen lake. Would be great in the warm months, so you could take advantage of the lake. We would highly recommend!

Beautiful Big Bear Lake
My family would vacation on S. Shore 30 years ago. I finally was able to bring my family up to the lake where I had so many fun memories. The cozy cabin is in a perfect location in the woods with a beautiful view of Big Bear Lake. We enjoyed having fires in the wood stove at night after making dinner and enjoyed several long walks around the area. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!

About the host

We have owned our cottage on Big Bear Lake for 30 years. Our family has grown over the years, so we purchased the cottage next door for extra room for family reunions. We would be very pleased to host your family and friends in our lakefront guest cottage which has its own dock, beach, fire pit, and 150 feet of private lake frontage.

Why they chose this property

Big Bear Lake has a real 'up north' feel, surrounded by woods and quiet. Our 435 acre lake is crystal clear with great swimming, water skiing, boating and fishing. The lake is approximately 1 mile across and 3 miles around. You will be amazed at the bald eagles and loons that frequent our lake. The loons often provide a serenade, along with the brilliance of the stars as you sit around a campfire. Oh, and don't get me going on the fishing (smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye, northern pike and panfish)!!

What makes this property unique

Our lakefront is the best, providing full sun on the beach all day long, and shade in the woods surrounding the cottage. Our location on the south side of the lake provides refreshing breezes and beautiful sunsets. We have 5 acres of private woods behind the cottage for children to explore, gather campfire wood, and pick blueberries. For our more adventurous guests there are thousands of acres of federal and state forests, and numerous rivers, within minutes of our cottage. The owner will provide maps and guidance upon request, or if you prefer he will share his 30 plus years of outdoors experience with a fully guided trip for spring turkey hunting, spring morel picking, and fall bird hunting for grouse and woodcock with his well trained Brittany.
