Charming
Our family loved this home and found it very comfortable. The backyard and patio was a lovely area for morning coffee and a glass of wine at sunset. We would stay here again.

Good proximity to MSU if you see to are visiting campus, and relatively close to the west Yellowstone entrance. The house is updated and very relaxing. The owner is very responsive and we will definitely try to stay there again when the need arises.

Great location
We really enjoyed our stay here! We were traveling through Montana, and this was the perfect R&R spot after a week in Yellowstone. The hosts were great to deal with and prompt with responding. The house was clean, and had everything we needed. The cows across the street we a nice bonus ;) If we ever make it back to Bozeman, we would definitely stay here again.

Nice House in Good Location
Good sized house for our family of four that has been remodeled with everything we needed for cooking there. Everything in Bozeman is 5 minutes or less away. Having a washer and dryer was a nice bonus with kids.

About the host

Host profile image
I was lucky enough to serve the National Park Service for 33 years, retiring in 2009. I worked in Yosemite, Grand Teton, Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, Denali Indiana Dunes, and Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. I specialized in Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, Wildland and Structural Fire, Wilderness Management Incident Command and was a Paramedic. Since retiring, I travel, doing long motorcycle trips and other adventure travels. I have ridden a Motorcycle from Prudhoe Bay Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina, some 27,000 miles over 7 months. My wife Carolyn still works in conservation. I have two daughters that both live in Bozeman and who are helping me manage this rental house.

Why they chose this property

With two daughters and four grandchildren living in Bozeman, my wife Carolyn and I spend as much time in Bozeman as we can. Until we can move here year-round, my daughters Anika and Kara are helping us to manage our home as a vacation rental. This is truly a family business: one of us will always be available to help guide you through your visit, from recommending restaurants to suggesting a nearby hike. We invite you to share our home on an acre just outside the city limits, and all of its custom details. With views of the Bridger Mountains and the lovely pasture with horses across the street, you will get the true feel of “Big Sky” Montana, while being close to the city of Bozeman and all of its offerings. We hope you will enjoy your stay, and want to earn your repeat business.

What makes this property unique

You will love the front deck for coffee or drinks any time of day. The large Pine tree shades the teak table and chairs, allowing just enough sun to filter through to keep you warm. The back patio is inviting you to enjoy the very large back yard. The fire pit with firewood will make you want to stay outdoors just that much longer. When you do wander indoors the house will welcome you with fine details, copper and teak accents, and cozy living. The open layout will let the cooks mingle with others in the living room and enjoy the view out onto the pasture and surrounding mountains.
