About Jay

We are a family of six based in London and have had the apartment since 2006.

Jay purchased this apartment in 2006

Why Jay chose St Lucia

This is truly an amazing holiday experience and set in one of the most beautiful bays in the world. From the first moment we saw it we fell in love with the location.

Book it, you won't regret it

The accommodations are perfect for 2 couples and we stayed 10 nights. The master suites are very spacious and very well appointed, actually I would say perfect. The bed was awesome and the older we get this plays an integral role in our travels. The air-conditioning worked great. Having maid service is a wonderful touch and they were very through. The proximity to the pool is perfect and makes it easy to run back to the room for incidentals such as wine and snacks. There was a great view to watch the yachts and boats in the marina. We felt very safe and all the staff was so kind and welcoming, I don't know how every staff remembered our names, this boggles my mind. We had a private chef one evening and the food was fantastic and entertaining and we got to keep the leftovers. We did the rum tasting at the resort, which is a must, so entertaining and educational. We took advantage of the complementary Yoga and Pilates, we learned so much from the classes. We rented a car and went to Ti Kaye once and Sugar Beach twice and for snorkeling which was awesome. The roads are less than desirable, but we managed. I would highly recommend renting from Javid, he was very attentive with answering any questions we had prior to booking and thereafter. I hope I get a chance to meet you some day.

Contemporary accommodations in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time in St. Lucia and at the Capella Marigot Bay Resort. The apartment was spacious and in good order. Our personal assistant, Sasha, took excellent care of us during our stay and surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco upon our arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed the tours arranged by the resort and access to the many restaurants in the bay. (Julietta's and the Rainforest Hideaway were among our favorites. We also enjoyed lunches at Ladera and Sugar Beach, which is accessible by car.) The location was convenient to many local attractions and I would suggest renting a vehicle, which can be arranged through the resort, to see many of the sites on the island. (Although driving is not for the faint of heart.) We would highly recommend St. Lucia and the Capella Resort as a must see destination.

Relaxing, spacious and tranquil

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is wonderful for two couples wanting space apart and together. The Resort (the Capella) has the most gracious staff I have met in 45 countries of travel. Pools are wonderful, views amazing.

The ferry over to the Rainforest Hideaway for dinner opened up an amazing meal (we did it twice). Great location to travel south and north in St. Lucia (a good thing as the roads and views are amazing).

Javid, the owner lives in UK but makes sure you have everything. Great to deal with. We hope to go back.

Amazing Experience at Capella

  • 5 of 5

My family and I (spouse and two teens - aged 15 and 17) recently returned from a wonderful experience in St Lucia. Working with Jay (the owner of our apartment) was an absolute pleasure. His responses to our questions were timely, precise and accurate. He provided us with a wealth of invaluable information about the resort, Marigot Bay and specific activities.

The staff at the resort were professional and friendly, making every effort to ensure our week of holiday was perfect. And it was. Poolside service was fantastic (though cabanas are first come, first serve) and every aspect of our experience was polished and of high quality.

We dined at every nearby location in the Resort and, while all were very good, our favorites were the Rum Cave and the Rainforest Hideaway. The food was simply excellent and for fans of rum you MUST visit the Cave - several times, at least.

We opted to not rent a vehicle, choosing instead to use drivers when possible. The Resort staff were excellent at providing such services. In order to truly enjoy all St Lucia has to offer, you need to have access to a vehicle.

My family and I will have wonderful memories of our time in St Lucia thanks to Javid's excellent assistance.

Nice place nice people

  • 5 of 5

We had really good time in this apartment at Capella Resort. The place is comfortable, clean and spacious and the services are excellent. We found it adherent to the description and aligned with our expectation. The island is beautiful but we recommend to have a car for going around, otherwise you miss to many things. Driving is ok, you must just pay attention to the hols (some time big!) on the road and not be in hurry. We test many restaurants in the area; the prices are crazy everywhere so we recommend to go in the top ones like Rainforest, Masala (Indian food), Resorts beach restaurants like Sugar Beach, Anse Castagnet, Anse Cochon, or the ones you have in the Capella Resorts... at least in those places the service and the quality of the food is satisfying. The worst experience we had at Giulietta restaurant. The food in itself was not bad but the menu and the service (two hours for a main course) was very poor specially if compared to the price they pretend (on top of the bill they charged an other 5% for paying with credit card!!). That the only place we regret to have been! For the rest we recommend Saint Lucia and this accommodation, the people around are all very friendly and we never felt unsafe.
