FINCA SAN AMBROSIO

Eco Hideaway in the very south of Spain.

The Finca is set amongst fruit orchards and pasture in the green south of Andalusia, Province of Cadiz, in beautiful landscape and only about 1,6 miles from the wide golden beaches of the Costa de la Luz. Conil and Vejer de la Frontera are just a few minutes drive away.

Situated in front of the nature park 'La Breña' with its pine forest, and surrounded by wide meadows with horses, cows, and goats, by fruit orchards and some farms and private houses, Finca San Ambrosio is a green oasis - birds twittering, the wind rustling in the Eucalyptus trees, the murmur of the stream...

It seems to be far away from it all, but in a five minutes drive you can reach the 'White Village' Vejer de la Frontera with its spectacular views to the Laguna de la Janda, the Atlantic and the coast of Africa. There you can enjoy also the lovely white Moorish architecture, enchanted places with bars and cafes. The lively seaports of Conil and Barbate with fish markets, restaurants, beach bars are also nearby, and of course the beautiful golden sandy beaches of the Costa de la Luz..

The main house of the Finca, a large Andalusian style Cortijo, is divided into 3 spacious apartments for 4-7 pax, the two garden houses into 4 smaller apartments (2-3 pax each), all with private terraces and separate entrances. Each apartment is equipped to a high standard.

A path through natural gardens leads to a pool (12x6 m) with terraces, sun beds and outside shower, a shaded upper terrace with garden furniture and a separate barbecue with al fresco dining place.

Groups - Family Holidays - Yoga - Seminars – Wedding- and Birthday-Celebrations:

All apartments of Finca San Ambrosio can be rented separately, but the Finca is also very suitable for a large group or family, for relaxing holidays and celebrations. It offers a pleasant atmosphere with its large romantic gardens, and a lot of space to stay together or be on one’s own. Seven comfortable apartments accommodate up to 24 people, 6 additional beds and 4 cots can be provided.

El PATIO is the largest apartment of the Finca, and its living areas and kitchen serve the whole Finca when it is rented by a large family or group. This apartment has got a 60 m² living- and -dining room and a south facing terrace with garden furniture for al fresco dining.

The pool area, equipped with sun beds, is also spacious, and there is another shaded first floor terrace with garden furniture and lovely views into the open landscape, the enchanted barbecue place in the garden…

Finca San Ambrosio - formerly a large fruit and vegetable Finca - is still managed according to ecological criteria. Our apartments are built and equipped with natural materials as poroton blocks, wood, steel, rattan, reed, cotton, wool, terracotta, marble, granite, tiles etc. The painting is of ecological mineral paints, inside and outside walls. All windows have insulated glazing.

This is a lovely place for a large group, celebrations, and events. It offers a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere with its large romantic garden and the seven apartments, all equipped to a high standard. There are 12 bedrooms who can accommodate 24 people, 6 additional beds and/or 4 cots can be provided.

El PATIO is the largest apartment (240 qm), and its living areas, terrace and professional kitchen serve the whole Finca when it is rented by a group.

The spacious pool area is surrounded by natural gardens and equipped with sun beds. There is another shaded first floor terrace (60 m²) with garden furniture and lovely views into the open landscape, the enchanted barbecue place in the garden, and a lot of space to stay together or be on one’s own.

Lovely property , perfect for a group of friends with children which we were. Landscaping was lovely, pool well maintained and clean and sun beds very comfy . Kitchen well equipped and spacious . Lovely food basket left for our arrival . Gabriele , Edgar and Diego were very helpful and patient with us . Will definitely be back .

The smell of Eukalyptus and wild beauty

Finca San Ambrosio became am home away from home for me, since we are staying there for years either for our Yoga-Retreats as well as for our own private holidays.

The surrounding just close to Playa de Mangueta and Playa El Palmar is georgeous and wild and the owners maintain the wild beauty of this wonderful landscape also on their property by keeping it very native!

The huge garden is always very well maintained - likewise the different Appartments which are all spacious and tastefully well-furnished.

The owners are very attentative and caring and I always felt welcomed and cared for.

The next beach is about 4 km away and the wonderful Parc Natural de la Brena with it's numerous trails which wait to be explored is just "around the corner".

Regarding the Villa again: since there are so many different Appartments You will have the choice of going there with a huge group - and there ist really lots of space!!! - or staying there with just Your family or as a couple - this is the very nice concept: in any case You will be happy and probably coming back - like we do since 6 years or so...

Unser Aufenthalt in dieser großzügigen und gut ausgestatteten Finca war sehr gelungen. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und die Betten sind gut. Für größere Gruppen ist das Domizil optimal geeignet. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Situated between Cadiz and Tarifa, the Atlantic beaches of the Costa de la Luz and the picturesque, cosmopolitan 'pueblo blanco' Vejer de la Frontera Finca San Ambrosio is a little paradise to relax and starting point for a lot of activities.

A real hideaway in a large subtropical, blooming lush garden with lovely views. But a short drive away you will find a choice of sandy beaches and seaside bars in El Palmar and Los Canos, restaurants and local markets in Vejer, Conil and Barbate; dreamy surfing, diving, hiking and riding possibilities. Studs and bull farms can be visited, first class golf courses in Vejer and Benalup, equestrian sports (Sunshine-Tour), guided bird watching tours in La Janda and whale watching in the Strait of Gibraltar.

There are Spanish- and Flamenco schools, and Seville, Ronda or Tangier with their culture and architecture are reachable in a day's trip.
