Lovely traditional style house

This is a beautifully renovated and decorated house suitable for couples of a family. It was very clean, well equipped and the owner, who lives next door, is super friendly. We had heavy rain for 4/6 days but the wifi worked well so we were able to work. The house is in a small neighbourhood just outside the centre of town - only 10-15 minutes walk away from the old part of town and the lovely beaches. There was a small supermarket within 10 minutes walk and a larger one 2 minutes by car. The immediate environment is a mix of newer and older properties with some small-holding. This meant cockerels crowing loudly all day and night plus barking dogs (always a problem in Spain). We did acclimatise to it gradually. Thanks Pacqui for being a great host.

An Absolute Gem

What an absolute gem of a property. Probably one of the best we've rented in Europe. It has everything you need for a great holiday (ok no pool but with an outside shower and fabulous beaches 5 minutes drive away, who needs one?) The house is easy to find on the outskirts of Conil de la Frontera with a secure gated access to the private drive. The property is dark - as are most Spanish properties; a combination of style and practicality for keeping the heat out during the day. It is spacious with 2 bedrooms, one double one twin. The kitchen is well equipped with electric hob, microwave and small oven for food preparation. The lounge area is generous and comfortable. It is outside where the property really excels with a well maintained garden offering sun and shade in equal measure. Sun loungers, a dining area on the terrace and a very generous BBQ area to the side of the property. At the rear is a laundry room and drying space out of sight of the rest of the space. As I said, no pool but we didn't miss it. The outside shower is excellent for a quick cool down between sun sessions and there are tremendous beaches within easy striking distance - 5 mins by car 20 by foot. The owner is very friendly and welcoming living in the house next door. Met with a map of the area and recommended places to visit (every one we tried was well worth it). The street is narrow and the property is on a corner so bear that in mind when hiring a car. (A top of the range SUV may not be your best choice). There is a drawback to the location, Conil has a lot of festivals/fiestas and it can get quite noisy on a weekend. The local sports complex (about 600 - 800 metres away as the crow flies) hosted a fairground and several large marquees each with their own musical offering. The Saturday 'evening' went on 'til 6am Sunday morning - the local Farmacia sells an excellent line in ear plugs. Plenty to see in the area if you can drag yourself away from the local beach. Unless you enjoy the hustle and bustle, and very little personal space, head to El Roqueo to park and walk down to the beach and the warm Atlantic waves. Gets busier late morning, Conil is a Spanish holidaymaker destination. Further afield we were recommended Bolonia beach and this truly is stunning. The sea is as clear as a swimming pool and warm; wide golden sands and a large sand dune at the far end. Ample attended parking (1 Euro 'tip'). Absolutely no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.

Estancia para repetir, seguro.

Precioso chalet, muy cómodo, jardín perfecto para relajarse y ver la puesta de sol. Lugar muy tranquilo. Paqui es una gran anfitriona, todo lo que tiene lo ofrece y me ha encantado conocerla. Gracias por todo.
