Luxury four-bedroom house located in a village setting a short distance from Stirling. The house, which comfortably sleeps 8 people, is an ideal base for large families, groups of friends looking for a luxury break or a special occasion. It features a large lounge with a wood-burning stove, a sun room with access to the upstairs patio area and the outside decking in the ample 1 acre garden and pond area with BBQ and outside furniture. Three of the bedrooms are en-suite while the fourth has use of the large downstairs bathroom. The large dining/kitchen (separate 8 seat dining room) features large free standing fridge/freezer and two double ovens. The house also features a large downstairs game's room which includes: pool table, table-tennis, Wii console, Play station 3 console as well as 42 and 50 inch televisions. Burnside House- Fantastic Weekend

What a place. Our group (8 adults and 4 children) have just returned from a fantastic weekend at Burnside House. Spacious, luxurious and well fitted. Something for everyone in a great location. Thoroughly recommended.

Wonderful family stay in charming village

Our family came from the U.S. to spend a week in this area and found both Burnside House and the villages of Deanston and Doune to be better than expected. The house was very clean and had everything that we needed. Beds were comfortable and having 4 bathrooms for the 8 of us was terrific. We found much to do in the area, including several days in the Trossachs, a day to see the sites in Stirling, and several nearby towns. We enjoyed walking in the local towns, especially the path to the Doune Castle. We enjoyed the Red Lion Pub in Doune and went back several times. We highly recommend the Burnside House.

Simply Stunning

Our stay at Burnside House was brilliant, Brenda was fantastic to deal with regarding the booking and the house exceeded our expectations.

My wife, never on to give high praise, was blown away by the size of the house, the attention to detail and quality of everything provided. We were a party of 7 adults and 2 children and if you ever needed to find your own space, you could as the house is that big.

All the bedrooms have en suite facilities apart from one bedroom which is directly opposite what my grand daughter referred to as the "swimming bathroom" as the bath was that big!

The kitchen was huge, with an American style fridge, dishwasher, 2 fan ovens and a halogen hob. All appliances were in perfect condition and super clean.

The linen and towels provided were all top notch.

The welcome basket was a definite hit in our eyes.

The games room was enjoyed by all of us and a fair bit of "hustling" happened on the pool table.

Brenda had decorated the house for Christmas and it was perfect - thank you so much.

Our stay was best summed up by my eldest grand daughter - " I dont want to leave here".

Location wise it's very central and you can get to most places reasonably quickly.

It was so good we are already looking at booking again for next year!

If you want luxury, space, peace and quiet with everything you need in the house or on your doorstep look no further.

Amazing property in an excellent location!

Burnside House is a a luxurious house which was perfect for our family holiday. Our three children, aged 12, 14 and 15 loved having their own double beds and bathrooms and the fantastic games room. We enjoyed the peace upstairs and the sunlounge, with patios either side, was an added bonus. The location was perfect for visiting the lochs and hills on one side, Stirling Castle close by and Edinburgh on the other side. The owners, next door, were friendly and welcoming and provided excellent customer service. We highly recommend this holiday house!

Fabulous Accomodations

The Burnside House is perfect, so much space. There was 8 of us and we had more room than we could use. This is a 5 star accomodation. Brenda was great to deal with and all went smoothly. We took a cab from the Airport and used buses and trains to get around. We loved the town of Doune 15 minute walk and had a blast at pub in town. If you love fishing be sure to walk behind Doune castle to see the river. A car would be helpful for groceries and quick travel but either way you will love this place. Do not hesitate to rent from Brenda you will be delighted.

Stirling is 20 min by bus to the train station. You can go anywhere from the train. Don't miss Stirling Castle, check out the explorer pass may save you money. We loved Scotland.

Burnside House far exceeded our expectations. So much space spotless and comfortable. A touch of luxury from start to finish. A beautiful part of Scotland enjoyed by all the family from infants to grandparents.

Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument and The Bannockburn Heritage Centre along with the Smith Art Gallery and Museum should satisfy those looking for history and culture. Blairdrummond Safari Park and Briarlands Farm are nearby. Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow are all an hours drive away. Stirling has a new multi screen cinema complex, the Macrobert based at Stirling University offers theatre and cinema in a more relaxed setting. The Peak, Stirlings brand new sports centre offers a wide range of facilities including;Swimming and ice skating, The MacLaren Sports Centre in Callender also has a wide range of sporting facilities. The Stirling area is ideal for touring holidays and also features many beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside.
