A modern 2nd floor apartment with open fireplace and full length balcony overlooking the communal pool and picnic area. The flat is in a quiet location within 5 minutes walk from shops and restaurants and 10 minutes walk from the beach and only 45 minutes from Barcelona centre via train. The master bedroom is en-suite. The second bedroom contains bunk-beds with an comfortable full size single pull out. The third bedroom contains two single beds convertible to double if required. There is a separate bathroom. The apartment has a spacious eat in kitchen and living and dining area that opens onto the balcony that extends the length of the building. The balcony receives both shade and direct sunlight throughout the day and is a perfect place to sit and relax with a book, whilst listening to the birds and children playing round the pool. The apartment comes with all mod cons inclusive of flat screen TV with cable channels that can be viewed in different languages, DVD, central heating and air conditioning in the living area. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, dish washer microwave, fridge freezer and 4 ring gas cooker.

I fell in love with this property because of the relaxing village atmosphere and the views from the living room. It's a very relaxing space in which to spend time, its light and airy. Loads of natural light in every room. And close to so many attractive places to visit.

You have the beach ten mins walk away, a train into the magnificent city of Barcelona (40) mins, and if you want mountains, you only have to turn left out of the apartment and you could literally walk for hours in the mountains and never meet a soul.

The property was as described. Very comfortable for our family of 7. The apartment was a short walk away from the train station. Rose was very helpful and provided great information. I look forward to renting the apartment again in the future.
The apartment was as described and was very well equipped (there was even a vegetable peeler which was a first!) and well set out. There were a few bits and pieces in the kitchen cupboards so we didn't to have to start from scratch for cooking ingredients. The pool was great and not busy when we wanted to use it and. The only thing to point out was that the apartment is on the second floor and so would have been tricky for some people. The beach was beautiful and a genuine ten minute walk and was not busy either. A few nice local eating places although it took us a little while to get used to the later eating time in the evening (8.30) and shops. Communication with Rose was excellent and very helpful. All in all we had a thoroughly lovely time and would definitely recommend the apartment.
Very good experience
With our family of 4 we enjoyed 2 weeks stay in August and enjoyed the apartment.
It is a nice and comfortable apartment and Caldes is a nice and relatively quiet small village at the seaside.
The owner was very flexible and helpful.
The only remark we have is that the kitchen utensils could be upgraded.
A cleaning service option would be welcome as well.

Great property close to all amenities - amazing host!
An amazing property in a great location - close to beaches, restaurants, bars and within easy reach of Barcelona (left the car behind as catching a train is cheap and easy) as well as easy access to motorways.
Rose was the most helpful and hospitable host from the start of the booking process and was easily contactable throughout.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Rosa's property and we would love to return to Cal D'Estrac - thanks Rose! 😀
Great location, great appartment
We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage girls. The apartment was roomy and had everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean on arrival. The location is great in that the village has a real Spanish atmosphere rather than a holiday resort, with a good selection of restaurants and a smattering of shops that will suffice for those who wish to at least have some meals at the apartment. If you are looking for a larger supermarket its one stop further on the train. Transport to and from Barcelona via the rail network is excellent and a T10 ticket makes travel inexpensive.It was great for us to go into the hustle and bustle of Barcelona and then come home to the village atmosphere, although at times the walk up the hill to the apartment seemed longer than it actually was due to tired feet. The pool was clean and most days we had it to ourselves. The beach, which is within easy walking distance of the apartment was also clean, but busy at times. Rose was an excellent host and picked us up from the train station and helped with the arrangements for us to get to our departure airport. We were also welcomed with some essentials on arrival and I was most grateful of the wine by the time we arrived, only thing I would say is my husband would have preferred milk so he could have had a coffee! She made us feel that if we had any issues during the holiday that she was only a call away to help. LA TASQUETA DE CALDES was our restaurant of choice for the holiday with great food and a family atmosphere. All in all we had a great time and would return in a jiffy as there is so much to see and do in this area of Spain.
Great apartment in lovely village
I really enjoyed my time at Rose's apartment. The village was amazing. Some great places to eat and so much cheaper than staying in Barcelona. The beach was fantastic.. Very quiet.
Everything needed was at the apartment. Will probably return next year. Thanks again Rose!

Activity and Interests
Caldes d'Estrac(Caldetes) is located on the Maresme coast with frequent trains to Barcelona city centre 35 minutes away. It was one of the first touristy towns of Catalunya thanks to its tranquillity, charm and unique offering of thermal spring spas right on the beach. To this day it remains a very desirable location for local residents, making for a very authentic Catalan experience. The 2.5 km stretch of beaches, divided into north and south side, are all well maintained, clean, wide and sandy. The north side has a more rustic and private flair and includes a nudist area for sunbathing, swimming and eating. The busier south side includes play areas for children, beach dining and volleyball nets for adults. Fresh water showers are available the length of the entire boardwalk which is perfect for jogging, strolling or just people watching. Easy access to highway, grocery, Premium Outlet shopping, Montmelo Racetrack and excursions to Girona, Costa Brava or France.
