4,100 square feet lovely private brick 4 bedroom waterfront home directly on the James River with water access and spectacular water views. Beautiful sunrises and wildlife to view daily. Great quiet location near many tourist destinations including Busch Gardens, Water Country, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, and Chippokes State Park. Lovely Historic Smithfield is 25 min away. Our property is waterfront just steps away from the water. Our property is large -your fellow travel partners will have plenty of privacy. There are two kitchens one kitchen on the main floor and one on the garden level. Children are welcome. High Chair and Pack and Play available on request.

Idyllic location

I'd been searching for something special for our Williamsburg trip, and this more than fits the bill. An extremely comfortable, well equipped house, with great views of the James River. The 20 min ferry trip was easy and free of charge. For me, it was chance to read a magazine each morning. Ideal for visiting Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Water Country, Kings Dominion, Jamestown, Yorktown. We did most of our shopping in Williamsburg (at big Publix), and then picked up frozen stuff from Surry (<10 min drive each way). Watched the jumping fish each evening. Didn't try the provided kayaks, but were up at dawn each day for our morning run down to the ferry, and then back and further south along the road: fantastic views at that time in the morning. Family of 4 meant that the 2 kids loved having a floor each. Kitchen table had great views. Well equipped kitchen. Lounge very comfortable. We had a super week, and only wished we weren't out every day to allow more time at the property. Excellent comms from property owner. Highly recommended, and one of the nicest places we have stayed.

Amazing house

The house was wonderful with amazing views, we have never stayed anywhere so beautiful. The area is lovely and the locals all very friendly. Rene was great and very easy to deal with. We are definitely going to return, couldn’t recommend it enough.

Stunning property in a beautiful location

This home is spacious and beautifully decorated and has lots of thoughtful touches to make a stay there very relaxing. The location is fabulous - we loved watching the fish jumping & the ospreys catching fish for their young in their nests on the nearby boathouses. It was very easy to catch the ferry across to Jamestown and we loved visiting the historic sites there and at Colonial Williamsburg. Busch Gardens was excellent as well. Only drawback - no local shops to speak of so stock up in Smithfield or Jamestown. Rene was an excellent host - responding very quickly to questions.

Lovely place

We had a fun and relaxing time here. It was clean, spacious and in a great location. We had 6 people and there was enough room for everyone. The home was stocked with basics in case you forgot something and was only a half mile from the ferry. Go to the cupcake place that is nearby if you can, you won't regret it!
