We really enjoyed your apartment and the location was splendid for all of our trips to various points. Coming up from the A8, after about the second roundabout I think, we always stopped in at the Boulangerie (next to the Poulet a Go Go). What wonderful midriff expanding treats!

I think our most memorable trip was to the Grand Canyon du Verdon via the northern route last Friday. It was just a good outing - tense for a period but now we only laugh. Fifteen minutes from Vence going up the mountain (what a change of scenery) we saw two deer jump across the road at the shooting range, no less. At about 1200 metres it became that much more... err... "enjoyable" (perhaps frightening) because it had snowed in the early morning. The road was at times icy and partly snow covered. The views were gorgeous and there was no one else on the road - completely quiet. Coming down the mountain to Aiguines on the other side, we saw that the road had been closed! It made sense but there was no road closure sign at Comps or anywhere to discourage us. We survived - we are hardy Canadians!! That and a lunch spot with friendly folk calmed us greatly (the local herb liqueur for my petrified passengers might have also contributed).

Louise and Sarah were great and efficient. Everything in the apartment worked well and was more than sufficient - we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. I mastered the garage with even a larger car than originally anticipated.

Nice but desparately needs a new bed

The condo is clean and remodeled with a truly fantastic view! For the most part it was a nice stay but there were two of us each with our own bedroom. When I put my hand on the bed in the second bedroom I actually only felt springs and bars. Neither of us could sleep on it. I tried one night, was absolutely miserable, and ended up sleeping on the couch for the rest of the trip which was unfortunate. I would recommend replacing that bed and then the place would be much better. As the reviews say, there is a good amount of traffic noise, so it's a personal choice as to how that would affect your stay. The owners are timely and efficient and were good to work with.

A great stay

As advertised, the apartment was great, very clean and modern, great kitchen and excellent views. The master bathroom is quite small (especially the sink) but we managed to get around that.

The property is very well managed, so there is someone there to meet you and show you everything and not that we had any problems, but if we did, I feel like someone would have been available to look after it.

The apartment is easily accessible and has a very good location in Vence. Only thing to know, and not a complaint, is that it takes about 15-20 minutes (no traffic) to get to the highway/sea so if ur visiting Nice/Antibes/Cannes, etc... it can add a bit of time to your trip.

We had a truly great stay, would definitely recommend.

Great apartment. Spectacular views. Noise problem.

Clean and very well epuipped apartment with spacious rooms. We loved the panoramic views from the balcony + we were able to walk to the old town of Vence within 10mins where there are lots of restaurants, shops etc. The bed in the ensuite room was very comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights.

Unfortunately, the next door neighbour had a very noisy party, on our last night, that kept us awake until 2am and so we departed feeling grumpy and sleep deprived the next morning. Up until then, all had been quiet and peaceful. It was such a shame that our stay in France ended in such a way. The apartment is lovely but the walls are very thin.

Owner's Response: Our apartment is in a residential building so we know our neighbours and it seems that one neighbour had some people staying while she was away and they had a party, which is not allowed. This was definitely a one-off as we have not had any commments about noise in the past. We've spoken to the neighbour to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Lovely apartment

This apartment has everything you would need for a lovely holiday. It is well-situated for discovering the surrounding area by car and an easy walk into the local shops and old town. This is a very beautiful area of France and Vence is a very special place. The views from the balcony and the roof terrace are spectacular.

Fantastic stay in Vence

It is not often that what is promised on a website meets or even exceeds you expectations. Everything that is promised was the there and it is truely a home away from home. The apartment has a fantastic location and very central , you can easily get to the glitz and glamour of Monte Carlo and we even went up into the Alps the one day. We would definately recommend this apartment to all our friends and family looking for accomodation in the South of France!!!!
