2 bedroom apartment sleeping 4 close to the Shore district of the city

This brand new 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment is in superb condition having only recently been built. Apartment 3 is on the first floor (one flight of stairs) and apartment 5 is on the second floor of this new apartment block and comes with parking. The accommodation is very comfortable providing a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom. There is another bathroom together with a combined living room and well equipped kitchen which has a host of appliances including a washer dryer.

The property is located in the Leith area of the city on Barleyhill Terrace, and is a short walk from 'The Shore' with its great selection of waterfront bars and restaurants. The apartment is a 10 minute drive from the city centre or about 20 minutes by bus, of which there is a regular bus service a minute's walk from the apartment. Free wireless internet access is provided.

Wonderful place to stay

Sunny, airy, very clean and quiet apartment. Francois and Diane were very gracious. There is a locked gate at the Restalrig Rd side of the property, and 2 buses stop right there. On the other side of the property it is a few blocks walk to Tesco and the foot of Leith Walk, where there are many more buses.

A note for allergic types like myself: the bedrooms had a smell of scented laundry products. (My husband didn't notice.) I couldn't sleep in the bedrooms, so we got inexpensive linens at Tesco and a blanket from Fraser's. We found unscented laundry detergent, for our own clothes, at Real Food on Broughton St. This was a small inconvenience for a wonderful stay.

Great Beds Great Location

Diane met us on arrival, and showed us everything. She told us what to do if we had any problems too, complete with a 3 ring notebook. Kitchen was nice, big enough for 2 to move around. I liked the washer-dryer combo unit, as we planned and need our clothes washed multiple times. Bedrooms were large enough to keep luggage out. (Guys are so lazy). The location was a pleasant surprise. Access was gated and building locked with a bus stop a few hundred feet from the front door. The surprise was a market, fast food and pub all on the street. Recommend Carling pints at the pub, fish and chips and lamb cabab at the take away. We woke up one morning with no hot water. I called Diane and she had it fixed in a few hours. Plumber said the unit normally needs this maintenance every 6 months. Again coming out to make sure it was done. Price was better than most I looked at, and I looked at a lot of places early in the season. You will be happy staying here.

Clean and comfortable.

Dianne was there to welcome us on arrival and helped us get oriented.The apartment is clean and comfortable and is very handy to buses for getting around.There is a convenience store outside the gate for little things and a Tesco supermarket a few blocks away. there are lots of little cafe type places within walking distance and Leith is a great place to explore. With bus service outside the gate as well you can get to all the major sites in 15 to 20 minutes or taxi rides are short and won't break the bank.

Great location with 3 minute access to bus stops.

I texted Francois upon early arrival and he sent Diane over right away. Taxi was 22 pounds from the airport. Building was very nice, quiet, good wifi. Large tub in bathroom and a separate shower in the main bed.

Came for the Edinburgh marathon and it was a brisk 20 minute walk to the start and 1.60 to return via city bus. Buses took you right into the city and were frequent.

Owner provided many dining options. we walked to the Mash Tun nightly as they had a great fish and chips and live music.
