Our Best Find in the French Alpes

The apartment and the location are the very best. We have stayed here multiple times and will always return whenever possible. The apartment is located in a very convenient, though quiet area, with nearby shopping and many different and enjoyable hikes, both in the mountains and on rural roads. The space is well laid out and fully equipped. The owners are most gracious and will help you with anything you need. They are extremely knowledgeable about the local and larger area and eager to share their many resources.

I highly recommend this apartment and the two lovely people who own it. We stayed for about two months in the apartment and it was wonderful and accurately described on HomeAway. The apartment seems larger than it is because each of the two rooms is large and well equipped. Basically, everything you need for a short or long holiday is here and is well maintained and very clean. The owners are extremely helpful and very generous with their time and attention to all of your needs. The surrounding area is exquisite in the autumn with splendid mountain views by looking out of the windows or strolling in the small town. Area towns have good shopping, good restaurants and are as close as a 5 to 10 minute drive.

What a lovely house to get away from it all, but it's also a place close enough to visit all the wonderful places in this beautiful area. The apartment is very well equipped, clean and tidy and as described very cosy. We loved the evenings sitting out eating and having a drink looking out on the view as the sun set over the mountain in front. Our hosts were great and very helpful and made us feel very much at ease. No downsides to this holiday apart from having to leave.

Perfect Apartment InThe Country

My wife and I spent eight nights at the Cozy Country Apartment.

We had everything we needed for a relaxing week. The apartment looks out over a perfect vista of farms and mountains. There is so much to see and do as a tourist. Lake Annecy and the city of Annecy are very close. The best thing about this apartment is the wonderful owners and there two Golden Retrievers. They made us feel like visiting welcome family members. We could have talked for hours.

If you are looking for a quiet place in the country you need to look no further. This is a good as it gets.

Peace and quiet

Although the booking was originally for me and my family (husband and 2 children) I ended up there on my own for the week as husband had to work and Nana wanted the grand kids so I was not about to say No to a week on my own. What a peaceful location - took some much needed rest for the first few days. Then, being a cycling enthusiast, I took the opportunity to go for some bike rides, made easy by the fact that the cycle piste is just down the road and some more challenging mountain rides literally on the door step.

Nice clean apartment with ample space for a family of 4 but also a wonderful solo retreat for a busy mum!

Marlens is a typical French village with about 700 inhabitants at only 8 Km ( 5 miles) from Lake Annecy. Quiet location with many walking routes nearby, fishing lake, cycle track (all the way to Annecy) and paragliding school at walking distance. Magnificent views on the mountains and sun set panoramic views from your private terrace and garden...

Altitude : 600 meters, easy access and nearby Faverges (for supermarkets and shops). The area enjoys easy access to the lake (water sports: beaches, sailing, surfing, kayak, swimming), mountains (skiing, cross country skiing, mountain walks), cycle tracks (cycling, roller blading). Albertville is only 15 Km away and Annecy is within easy reach at 30 Km.. Many restaurants in the area. In Marlens, you have 2 restaurants at your disposal, one at the fishing lake and one at the camping (the camping also offers take away pizzas and chips for non campers)...The main road is about 500 yards away so it is very calm in our apartment.
