Rest comfortably in the inviting bedroom suites, each with a private bath, rain-head showers, pillow-top mattresses and luxurious linens. Careful window and door placement allows you to take in the beauty of Isla's ocean from anywhere in the house. At night you will be lulled to sleep by the Caribbean breezes and soothing sound of the nearby waves. Quality craftsmanship is evident throughout the house from the custom cabinets to the spectacular tile work. All rooms have individually controlled air conditioners.

The large lower pool with poolside bar has plenty of room to relax. Enjoy a more dramatic view from your private rooftop dipping pool. The home is fully furnished with everything you need for a complete vacation. Amenities include flat screen tv, North American cable, local cable, washer, dryer, microwave and outdoor grill, high speed wireless internet, free local and long-distance phone. Casa Marchon is located on the south end of the island only a short walk from the ruins and a 10 minute cab or golf-cart ride to the spectacular North Beach. This private home is perfect for a romantic vacation, a trip with friends or a family with children.

Additional Amenities: Our concierge service is more than happy to recommend private transfers to and from the airport with an English speaking driver. They can arrange to pre-stock your pantry and refrigerator prior to your arrival, rent a golf cart, arrange for a personal chef, swim with whale sharks (July - September), book world-class sports fishing on boats complete with professional crews, etc... Just ask!We are sure you will love our home as much as we do.

Beautiful property, but a few hiccups

We enjoyed our stay in Isla Mujeres - there’s a lot of good stuff to share about this property. The check in/out process was easy and Jan even helped us to stock the fridge before our arrival with some requested foods and drinks. The bedrooms were spacious and clean with plenty of towels to use for beach as well as showers. The kitchen had lots of dishes and pots and pans so we could cook and prepare food easily. The pool was a lot of fun - the kids loved playing in it nearly every day. It was wonderful to have access to laundry - we appreciated returning home with some clean clothes. We had a day of no internet and the host was quick to reply and find a solution. A few things to note that could be improved: the hot tub wasn’t functional during our visit. The host said he would check on it but sadly never got back to us. The pool was great at the beginning of the week but started to look weirdly green and swampy by the end of our time. It was wonderful to sit outside and relax but only when the wind was blowing in the right direction. The house is situated near a landfill area and a few times we got some very smelly stinky air that made sitting outside impossible to enjoy. Overall a very fun week in a new place we had always wanted to check out.

I am a busy executive who took my first vacation in 25 years and found myself on Isla where I fell in love with the island and its people. After visiting several times I decided that this was the perfect place for my second home. From the beginning everything fell into place and in the end we completed this wonderful house.

Why they chose this property

The south end of the island appealed to me as it is away from the downtown area and yet offers the availability of all the island has to offer. My family loves the North Beach and the restaurants and shops but also likes to retire to the quiet serenity of our beautiful house.

What makes this property unique

Private location, gourmet kitchen, beautiful views, relaxing environment, open design with private bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Large heated pool on the lower level and a dipping pool on the roof.
