Very nicely decorated with lots of thought and care.

We really enjoyed our stay at Orchard Cottage. Clean and with a nice garden. Lots of thoughtful little touches too!

Only a few minutes walk to the high street where there's lots to see and do. Being foodies, we were spoilt for choice between Russell's, Broadway Deli, The Swan, Dormy House and more. The best bar is in the Broadway Hotel where they make fantastic cocktails. Lots of great walks and fresh air too.

A bit disappointed

  • 3 of 5

Nice little property but very shabby. It really needs a deep clean. Some of the soft furnishings need replacing i.e. very smelly sofa cushions, stained bed throws, lumpy pillows and musty towels. Some of the crockery was chipped and the kitchen was a bit grotty in places. The bathroom had a strange "wet dog/fake tan" smell but we got used to that. Not all of the windows would shut properly so we were a bit concerned about leaving the property insecure not to mention the noise from the council estate across the road. The outside area would be lovely but it was overgrown and the furniture had no covers so it was covered with bird droppings and we couldn't use it. We've been staying in Broadway twice a year for the past few years so we do know what to expect for what we paid for this property and being on the edge of a council estate is not it. Such a shame really, maybe the best time to stay at this property is the start of the season when everything is still quite fresh and clean(hopefully) We rented the cottage as a treat for our silver wedding anniversary.....next time we'll be sure to rent one on the high street again.

Owner's Response: Dear Guest, We are sorry you were in some way disappointed with your stay at fab Orchard Cottage and we are upset by at least some of your comments , certainly your experiences are not consistent with our many clients who leave fabulous reviews . First and foremost, you had our direct contact details and had you contacted us at the time we could have checked out your concerns and remedied them for you saving any further cause for comment - sadly, we are hearing this more than a month after your stay so a little late in the day.. Location wise , Orchard Cottage is in a quite residential street behind the Upper High Street ( where the pubs and restaurants are situated and likely much noisier for this reason ) . I believe all the properties in our street are privately owned and well maintained with pride. 4 or 5 properties on the other side of the road were formerly part of a 1930's council estate but have been in private ownership and now individually styled for many years . Indeed OC itself was once a tied farm labourer's cottage so social housing of the day 300 years ago !! We thank you however for your feedback about things you found below expectation and can confirm that, despite not identifying the problems specifically, we have replaced for new the lounge sofa cushions , the bedroom throws ( which were only weeks old and from Kelly Hoppen so high quality products, and more . The garden receives regular attention and we have given a written warning to those pesky birds who dared poo on our outdoor furniture .. Thank you once again for your feedback , its just a shame you didn't mention to us directly and at the time as this would have been far more satisfactory for all concerned... Keith and Teresa.....

Wonderful little gem in the Cotswolds

  • 5 of 5

Although a fairly last minute weekend away with friends, the booking process was extremely quick and Keith and Theresa were very prompt to send out information in advance, so we could plan our stay at Orchard Cottage.

The place is ideally located in a residential area, just a few minutes away from the centre of Broadway.

You can really tell a lot of thought and consideration has been taken to decorate the place as there is a wonderful feeling of homely warmth throughout the cottage. The kitchen comes in well equipped (even with a bottle of sparkling wine and homemade cakes a welcome treat, such a delicious attention!), a bit of wood for the fire for our first night was also a nice touch!

The beds were very comfortable with good quality linen and no outside noises at night made for a very peaceful sleep.

Thank you very much Theresa and Keith, we will make sure to spread the word about your wonderful little cottage!

Comfortable and Modern cottage

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in this cottage in May. The cottage is well kitted out and very modern and comfortable. It is a great location and easy walking distance to the town and all the great shops and restaurants there. Would definitely recommend a stay here if visiting Broadway and we do intend to go back.
