The newly built stone villa Christy has been built to a very high standard and offers superb views from the patio area and garden surrounding the pool and the many balconies off the villa. You can sit back and relax whilst looking out over the beautiful blue water, you can see the Greek mainland, the channel which separates Lefkas and the mainland, the east side of Lefkas and the islands of Meganisi, Scorpios, (Onasis's Island) and Madouri (Valaoritis, a famous Greek poet's Island). The private road up to the villa is lined with pine trees, shrubs and flowers.
The villa is situated 5km from Lefkas town, in Ligia a beautiful small village 200 meters from the beach. There are many restaurants, cafes, mini markets and tavernas 500 meters from the villa. Preveza airport is just 20kilometers away.

It took about 30 mins to drive from Preveza airport to Ligia where we met Ioannis, the villa owner, on the main road. We followed him up a long, steep drive and arrived at villa Tina. The villa was beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean, had lots of storage space and air conditioning in all of the bedrooms and the main living area. The kitchen had everything we needed plus a sandwich toaster and microwave. The views from the pool and the bedroom balconies were breathtaking and changed everyday. If you are up early enough, you can see the sun rise over the mainland.
Ioannis was very helpful and gave us some good recommendations for restaurants and beaches. We took him up on his offer to go out on his boat for the day and had a fantastic time, a definite highlight of the holiday for everyone. We stopped for swimming in a very pretty bay and then had lunch in a taverna on Megannissi.
I'd recommend Mikros Gialos beach (follow signs to Poros and keep driving until you get to the beach). It's a very pretty bay with white stones set against the blue/green sea. Its a narrow winding, steep road but worth it.
If you want watersports then Nidri beach is closeby.
Lefkas town is great for shopping and eating. There is a Lidl here but there are also numerous local supermarkets.
We were lucky enough to spend our last evening with Ioannis and his family at an open air concert at the K beach club. We all had a great time and felt privileged to be invited.
I would like to say thank you to Ioannis and Tina for providing such a wonderful place for us to stay and for being so helpful and accommodating. If you do come to London next year, please let us know. We would love to meet you all again.
The Hillier family
We are 2 families with 4 children between us and have just spent a wonderful 2 weeks on Lefkas, in a fabulous villa with the most breathtaking views of the sea, on a small hillside in the little village of Lygia. The owners, the charming Ioannis and the beautiful Tina, are two of the most welcoming and generous people we have ever met...and Christina their daughter....what a cutie!
The pictures do not do the villa or the views justice. The villa has 4 large double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, with excellent wardrobe and storage space. The furnishings in the whole of the villa were obviously new and very tasteful.
The layout of the villa was excellent for two sharing families - we each had a floor to ourselves which gave us a degree of privacy.
The kitchen was excellently equipped: dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, microwave and a huge fridge freezer, lots of cutlery and crockery so we didn't even have to continually work the dishwasher! The sandwich toaster went down a treat with the kids!
The property was maintained daily, has a good size infinity pool where you can float and watch the boats go by...a memory we will never forget. The sun beds and outside furniture were 'just right'.
The villa was fully cleaned 5 times whilst we were there and the linen, towels and pool towels were changed regularly. Katerina was an excellent cleaner!
The location of the property was perfect for us as we had hired cards...situated between two tiny harbours (Lygia and Porto Nikiana) that each had 3 very good restaurants...we did not once have a bad meal and we ate out every night. And the barrel wine is great value for money!
The beaches were quite pebbly on this side of the island but there was a good beach club, The K Club, less than 10 minutes drive away. Nidri, a larger town, is just over 10 minutes drive away and was great for watersports and an early evening gin and tonic at the Sail Inn!
The island is small enough to hop in the car and be at the farthest reaches in a maximum of 40 minutes. We had a lovely couple of days at Kathisma beach which was sandy and gorgeous turquoise waters...
One of the best days was with Ioannis on his 45ft motor boat...Ferrari of the sea! We had an incredible day: an experience not to be missed, sailing to bays unreachable by car and swimming in the turquoise waters.
So as you can perhaps gather, we were smitten with Lefkas, Ioannis and Tina and will definitely return.
