This beautifully decorated cottage is just 141 steps from the beach. Located on quiet Russell Island, just over the bridge from Spanish Wells, this unique, family friendly cottage is just waiting for memories to be made. It's elevation enjoys constant Caribbean breezes and amazing views. Watch cruise ships as they pass by this piece of paradise as you sit on either the covered porch, the balcony for two, or the open sun deck. Only 141 steps takes you to the beach at Russell Island where children old and young jump from the famous Russell Island Bridge into the warm turquoise waters below.

The master on the main floor is a retreat in itself. With its queen size four poster bed, barn doors to the family room, antique wooden door with glass door knobs from New Orleans, to the master bath with antique slipper foot tub, equipped with handheld and overhead shower and chandelier!!! Wake to the beautiful view of the Caribbean waters right from your bedrooms French doors!!!

The kitchen on the main level is equipped with a farmhouse sink, induction range, convection oven, microwave, full size refrigerator a much more!!! There is also a large gas grill for outdoor grilling.

The upstairs provides 2 bedrooms. One with a queen size bed, and the other with two twin beds that can be configured as a king at your request. Both bedrooms open onto a balcony with breathtaking views of the water. Both bedrooms have separate ductless air conditioning for your comfort.

Relax after a day of fishing, snorkeling, biking or many more of the relaxing activities enjoyed on this secret piece of the Caribbean in the comfort of either of the two living areas. Enjoy a family movie in the main area or sneak away for a quiet reading spot upstairs!

There is also an additional separate living area upstairs with amazing views of the water as well. The upper level has a daybed, that opens to provide two twin beds. There is a separate efficiency kitchen upstairs with full size refrigerator, microwave, induction cooktop, sink and coffee maker. There is also a full bath on the upper level with tub and shower as well. Ceiling fans in all rooms along with gentle breezes give this cottage a true Island vibe! This is a perfect setup up for two families!!!

Amazing stay at Tippys

Great communication all through the booking and stay. Taxi service met us at the airport and Audrey met us at the dock. Audrey is a wonderful neighbour and caretaker helping us from the dock to the house, checking in on us through our stay and even made us amazing pumpkin bread. The house was gorgeous, closer to the beach than even the description suggested. A secluded, quiet and stunning beach at the end of the road. House was equipped with everything you could want or need, spotlessly clean and the views were fantastic. Everywhere is close by in a golf cart! We had a great week and were sorry to leave. Thanks so much, a wonderful stay.

Beautiful inside and out

This is such a fantastic property. We looked at loads without knowing the island and now I can say it was brilliantly situated and the best house on the island. It wasn't right on the beach ( it takes a minute to walk) but that was a good move as we were bitten if we were on the beach at dusk by sand flies and mosquitos but didn't have that problem at the house. It was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and it had everything you would need for a great stay. Little touches were great like there were some dishwasher tablets, plenty of toilet rolls, fresh bottled water and even a fresh baked cake which was delicious from the neighbour/caretaker. We have had the chance because of the generosity of Gail and Rob to have a holiday of a life time.

Perfect getaway

FABULOUS! Lovely house with all the amenities you need at the beach, very quaint, nicely decorated and plenty of space for the five of us. The kitchen is well-appointed and we cooked several meals at home including fresh-off -the-boat rock lobster tails using the grill on the deck! We loved mornings and evenings on the front and side porch looking out to the ocean, and having the beach just a few steps down the trail…paradise! We can’t say enough about Gail, the property owner and Audrey, the property caretaker – both of whom were fantastic to work with – these two made our visit so wonderful – from the extremely helpful ‘info and preparation’ phonecall days before we came, to escorting us from the boat docks to the house upon arrival and departure, the tour guide recommendations and making connections for us with locals on the island for everything we needed and much more. Tippy’s Cottage – on its own – is a 10/10, and Gail and Audrey are hands down the best hosts we’ve ever experienced with any VRBO property. You must come and see for yourself!

Paradise found here

We loved this home. 3 bedrooms plus the loft worked out great for our group of 6. The sunrise & sunset cannot be beat here. The caretaker lives right next door so that was convenient. She met us at the dock with our golf cart & brought all of our luggage to the house for us. Same thing for leaving. Beds were comfortable & the kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed. We were literally just steps from a beautiful beach that we practically had all to ourselves. We would stay here every time if we could.
