Four bedroom three bathroom two storey detached Provencal villa boasting a completely renovated interior finished to an extremely high contemporary standard. A covered ground floor south-facing terrace is perfect for eating and relaxing. The first floor terrace overlooking the valley and Gorges du Loup is accessed by three of the four bedrooms through sliding glass doors which disappear into the wall offering magnificent views and a lounging area to enjoy morning coffee or a sun downer cocktail. The main master suite offers a dressing room and luxurious spacious bathroom with freestanding bath looking down the valley, wet room shower and Italian stone sinks as well as access to the main terrace. Two further double bedrooms with built in wardrobes have access to the same first floor terrace and share a newly renovated wet room style family bathroom with double sink. The fourth bedroom is also a master suite, with its own dressing area and en suite shower room, making the property perfect for two families. It has a Juliet balcony and its own first floor access to a separate side terrace. The top floor boasts Italian travertine stone floors to help maintain an ambient temperature in the summer months. A modern open plan living and dining area on the ground floor has floor to ceiling sliding glass doors which disappear into the wall when opened, leading onto a further side terrace boasting a pizza oven and a large comfortable rattan sofa. There is also an open fire and log store, laundry room with wine fridge, fully equipped modern kitchen, with an American fridge freezer with ice maker and Nespresso coffee machine. There is a WC downstairs and an open plan stone staircase leading to the first floor bedrooms and bathrooms. There is also a music room with piano and a spacious office with desk and full internet facilities should you need to keep in touch with work. The garden spans five terraces with phenomenal views of the valley, offering a Weber barbecue, contemporary south facing pool wrapped by a travertine sun terrace with loungers, a small olive grove and plum, orange, lemon and fig trees as well as a small raised herb garden. This stylish peaceful light filled villa occupies a secluded position which is not overlooked, yet is only a few minutes walk from the heart of the village.

The pool terrace was renovated in Spring 2012 to an extremely high standard, boasting an 80 metre wrap around Italian travertine terrace which enjoys sunshine from early morning until early evening. The perfect place for a sun downer or a chilled glass of rose, with amazing views of the valley and Gorges du Loup.

Mas St Michel is a family home and as such, we hope that you find it a home from home with all the added extras that many holiday homes do not provide. To this end, we can also recommend a number of services to make your stay that little bit extra special....A private chef company for restaurant standard cuisine at the house, a beautician for facials and beauty treatments in the comfort of the villa, a masseuse for home massages and a yoga instructor who can provide private classes by the poolside or terrace for beginners upwards. Fantastic house

This property is beautifully conceived and the internal house could not be faulted unless you are desperate for air con.

Fantastic kitchen and facilities outside for bbq and pizza oven etc all great. We found the induction hob very tricky to control but very responsive once you mastered the controls.

Lovely sitting areas for chilling out

Sadly there are ferocious mosquitos here - we were all bitten badly over our week

Externally it would be good to clarify this is on an extremely steep terraced hillside with very precarious access in a family car. This was surprisingly stressful going in and out and the walk into the village for the boulangerie is also very steep - not a relaxing morning walk! The centre of the hilltop town is lovely once you get there with a lovely restaurant in the square

I would recommend this property as it is a lovely place and a gorgeous and very comfortable house done with much attention to detail

Purrfect...

This is a beautiful home, renovated with great style to provide comfort and privacy in peaceful surroundings with wonderful views and a nice pool.

Karen was a very helpful host, arranging a taxi from the airport for us, complete with supermarket stop. (A little épicerie and a couple of boulangeries are also a stroll away in the village so we managed happily without a car.)

We went on some lovely walks thanks to her suggestions and enjoyed all four excellent restaurants in the village.

Lottie, the resident white cat, exemplified the vibe of this place: elegant lounging with a contented purr.

A beautiful villa tucked away in a lovely quiet village, with some great restaurants. The villa is absolutely gorgeous and superbly well appointed with a view that is truly breath taking.Le Bar-sur-Loup is an ideal spot from which to explore all surrounding areas. Would highly recommend!

Very special villa for a very special trip

The villa is in the idyllic small village of Le Bar sur Loup, perfectly situated to walk to the small supermarket and a few restaurants, but away from it all in a serenely beautiful location. The decor is stylish and minimalist, and is well equipped for cooking. The bathrooms are beautiful and the rain showers excellent. Take a bath with the windows open and the fresh air blowing in!

The main terrace is open, however is covered so the perfect spot to dine outside looking out over the unbelievable view of the valley. The nearby BBQ and pizza oven mean you can cook outside easily, with the kitchen right behind you so easy to access. Down a few steps and you're by the large private pool, completely secluded with no neighbours able to overlook.

We could not have wanted more from the villa and enjoyed a serene week of utter relaxation.

Where to begin ..... gorgeous, contemporary villa with every home comfort. Plenty of space, a super pool and lots of lovely sunny and shady spots to relax. Perfectly positioned - peaceful with amazing views across the valley yet only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the medieval village of Bar-sur-loup. The village has some great restaurants - highly recommend Le Donjon. We loved both the house and the pool and enjoyed exploring the area too. Lots of lovely places within easy reach - Grasse, Valbonne, Antibes and Monaco, to name a few. Superb!

Le Bar sur Loup is a charming medieval village close to the perfume capital of Grasse and within a 30 minute drive of Nice, St Paul de Vence, Antibes and Cannes. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty, within easy reach of the mountains, coast, picturesque Lac de St Cassien and the River Loup. The area is popular for paragliding, canoeing, canyoning, hiking, cycling, walking and running. The house is situated a five minute walk from the centre of the medieval village, where there are two boulangeries, a supermarket, bar and four fantastic restaurants; the quirky Ecole des Filles, stylish bistro le Donjon, Michelangelo pizzeria and La Jarrerie. Close by there are also tennis courts, a tabac, pharmacy and a market vegetable stall every Saturday morning. The village of Gourdon, famed for its precariously perched position and views, is just 15 minutes drive.

Ski: The local ski resort is 35 minutes away. There are five excellent ski resorts within 2 hours. It is possible to ski at the local resort every morning and return home in time for lunch on the sunny terrace.

  • Boasting four double bedrooms, the villa offers a contemporary open plan ground floor ideal for relaxed family entertaining with an open fire and access to three terraces. The property offers a pizza oven, barbecue and numerous sunny and shady terraces for dining and sunbathing. The one acre garden spans five levels including a pool level, orange, lemon, plum and fig trees and a small olive grove. Other features include a 52 inch flat screen TV, DVD and CD entertainment system, iPod docking station and working open fireplace. We have tennis membership to the local courts a five minute walk away, which you are welcome to use...please bring your own raquets. Important Note: we have a very friendly, independent cat Lottie who comes with the property. All she requires is feeding twice a day and a stroke if you can be bothered. She is no trouble, has a cat flap and stays here as we cannot face a cattery.
