About this property

Cozy townhouse in the heart of the Old Town of Altea

If you enjoy being at the center of the Old Altea restaurants yet be a bit private and close to the sea? Then our town house is perfect for you! Our townhouse is just renovated into very high standard with new bath room and a new kitchen. Living room and bedroom is also just renovated with new furnitures and accessories. On top of all, our roof terrace of 16 square meters is situated with a magnificent view over the roof tops up against mount Bernia. During the evenings you can listen to the cozy sounds from the restaurants and the trobadours just outside the old wall of the Old Town.
The kitchen is equieped with all you need to make breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The bath room, on the same floor as the bed room, has a shower.
Wifi and IPTV with hundreds of Swedish, Norweigan, Danish and English channels is available.
Just feel free to lit the candles and the tea light candles to make it even more cosy, during the evenings.
Just 5-6 minutes down the hill, the beaches are situated and just 2 houses further down our little road, Alteas best Tapas restaurant (according to us), Xef Pirata, is located.

A GEM IN ALTEA
This house – literally a stone throw away from the entrance to the old town – can easily be one of your favorite spots on earth, just as it has become ours. The house itself is beautifully decorated (even more so than the pics show!). The living room is super cozy, the bathrooms are clean and fresh and the roof top terrace is ideal for catching sun, reading, lazy lunches – and in summertime al fresco dining by candle light. The kitchen is equipped with absolutely everything you could possible ask for in a rental house. (We stayed for four weeks and didn’t miss a thing!) And if you don’t feel like cooking – well, Altea’s best tapas restaurant – Xef Pirate – is next door! Therese, the host, is a darling and ever so helpful and accommodating. Thanks a million for a 5+++ stars stay. We’ll be back for sure! Cecilie & Mikael, Norway

Wonderful
The accommodation is tastefully furnished, modern and well equipped with cooling and everything you could expect to find in your own home. The terrace has wonderful views over the valley looking at the Altea Hills. My wife and I would sit with a nightcap (Licor 43) watching the acrobatics of the swallows overhead in/out of the streets at high speed! At dusk, bats can be seen flapping about above the rooftops. Undeniably charming! All restaurants, beaches, bars, supermarkets, shops and the bakery are within walking distance. The restaurant next door, Xef Pirata is an absolute must. We visited twice and on both occasions found the staff very friendly and the food mouth-watering. I recommend starting with a Mojito or two lol. It's a short walk to the ice cream parlour over the road, and found we often did! The locals are very friendly and on the weekends the guy next door, would play traditional Russian music, I think he was Russian? (It sounded Russian to me) At the end of the street, Spanish music could also be heard pouring through the windows. I think it's worth noting that you are in the middle of the town amongst the local people. We felt very privileged to stay here. Absolutely delightful accommodation central to the charming town of Altea, everything we expected and more. The whole experience was very comfortable and relaxing. If I were to return to Altea, I would stay here again.

Just perfect!
The townhouse was absolutely beautiful and a privilege to stay in it. Very quirky with lovely touches of decor. So nice to have a kitchen with stocked oils, herbs etc. Fridge had water, milk, beers and Cava ! All cleaning/dishwasher tablets also stocked. ( A lot of places have nothing...not even salt & pepper ! ) The bathrooms were so well appointed with shampoo/shower gel and plenty of towels. We had a very comfortable bed and the added luxury of bath robes ! The roof terrace is amazing, wonderful views, 2 superb loungers ,a dining table and chairs...we spent all day on the terrace when it was sunny....so relaxing. Perfect location, only minutes from the restaurants. We stay in apartments in Spain about 3 times per year and this townhouse is by far the best ! It’s a “home” and you can see the love the owners have given it in the renovations .....it’s just beautiful!

Beautiful House
I would like to thank the owners for having such a lovely comfortable house for us to stay in. We had a lovely time and the house had everything we needed and more and was spotlessly clean. Also the welcome drinks were very much appreciated after our long journey from Valencia. Susan & Paul Flint

We live in the southern part of Sweden and my husband and I work in our own companies. We have the possibility to work from here and try to be here as much as possible. Our kids are adults but we just love when they come to visit us.

Why they chose this property

Me and my family fell in love with the area 20 years ago and our dream about our own place in the sun, got realized about 10 years ago. Whit help from friends, we finally found our townhouse. A few years ago, we found our second house, Casa Fornet.

What makes this property unique

Near the heart of the Old Town of Altea, although we have our small corner of privacy but still close to the bubbling Old Town with all the restaurants and small alleys. We are also close to the beaches, just 5-6 minutes down the hill.
