About this property

Beautiful Cabin in Mt. Ida, Arkansas

If you want to get away from your busy life and enjoy a peaceful, quiet time, Pine Ridge Cabin is for you. Our cabin is nestled in the woods, but conveniently located to Lake Ouachita and Hot Springs. It is great for couples, solo adventurers, friends, and families with or without kids. You can chill and relax at the cabin, or enjoy activities including hiking, kayaking, water activities, and mine prospecting available in the area. Visit our website (use "Mount Ida, Pine Ridge Cabin" as key words on a search engine) for detailed information.

The cabin sits on top of almost 5 acres of wooded hill. During the summer, the trees get pretty thick, and you can enjoy various shades of greens. During the month of October and November, you will see beautiful shades of fall colors.

The cabin is cozy with simple furnishing. There are 4 sleeping areas: Master Bedroom (Loft), Downstairs Bedroom (Bunk Bed Room), Sun Room, and Living Room. We can fit 8 to 9 people comfortably (1 person per twin or full size bunk beds, 2 people sharing queen size beds), up to 11 people if the full size bunk beds are shared (2 people per full size bunk beds and sofa bed).

The master bedroom is in loft (meaning no wall between the main living area and the bedroom - see photo) with a queen size bed and a full bathroom (shower, vanity, toilet, closet). The bathroom also has a good size closet with hangers. There is also a desk and a lounge chair for your convenience.

The 2nd bedroom is downstairs next to a full bathroom (shower/tub, vanity, toilet) and has a closet, a TV, a DVD player, and toys and books for children. This room also has a door to access the back deck, and the door can be locked from inside.

The 3rd bedroom is actually a sun room that we converted into a bedroom. The room has a lot of windows, and it is air conditioned. The bed in this room is a twin size day bed with a twin size slide out bed, which becomes a king size bed when it's pulled out. The room has a TV and a DVD player, and some storage space for your belongings. This room also has a door to access the back deck, and it is separated from the living room with a French door.

The living room has a comfortable sofa with chairs. The sofa is also a full/queen size pull out bed with linens stored in the chaise. There is a TV and a DVD player as well as several board games for a fun evening. Many tourists brochures of the area and hiking trail maps can be found behind the sofa in the living room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware/bakeware, dinnerware, drinkware, utensils (including for little ones) and basic condiments/spices. Full size oven/stove, a microwave, a toaster oven and a coffee maker are available. There is a filtered water dispenser on a side of the refrigerator for drinking, etc. in case you do not want to use the well water from the faucet. If you like to grill, we have a charcoal grill outside.

All bed and bath linens are provided (extras in the closets). We also provide most of the necessities such as toilet paper, paper towel, foil/wrap, soap, etc. The utility closet has a small stacked washer/dryer with detergent and fabric softener.

The outdoor space provides a fire pit with chairs for some good talk. Firewood is available, and there is a plenty of space around it for kids to run around and play. They can utilize all the natural materials found on the ground such as rocks, sticks, pine needles, and leaves.

The back deck is also a perfect space to enjoy morning coffee, listen to music, or even play some corn hole matches. You can access the deck from inside the cabin or by using the side staircase. Rocking chairs are available on the front porch as well.

High speed internet is now available! You can stream your favorite shows and movies with your app subscriptions.

Nice cabin in a convenient location
My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary weekend here. It was quiet and peaceful at the cabin with the added convenience of Downtown of Hot Springs and we even drove to Little Rock to explore all that the cities had to offer.

Pros and Cons
We came to Arkansas to Crystal hunt. The house was okay, def not luxury. The back had a great deck but was so dirty and had so many cobwebs that it wasn’t inviting. The kitchen was pretty well stocked but the can opener is broken so if it doesn’t get replaced, bring your own. The hot water is almost non existent. Even rushing to take a shower we ended up getting cold water after a few minutes. I hope they will fix this, that was my biggest complaint. I went to bed the first night freezing to death due to washing my hair and then having no choice but to have a cold shower to rinse in. The firepit and the grounds were nice. Overall, a little fixing up and cleaning around the place would have made this house a perfect getaway spot. This is my 3rd stay in Mt Ida area. Still looking for that perfect spot.

A Perfect Getaway!
This cabin was secluded in the hills outside of Hot Springs, and it was a wonderful get-away. It was close enough to enjoy all of the restaurants and activities in Hot Springs, but far enough away to escape all of the hustle and bustle of civilization! A perfect blend!

We live in Flower Mound, Texas with 2 young children and a yellow lab, Bo. Growing up we both went camping with the families. Although we grew up in 2 different countries, we knew when we met that exploration in nature will be a big part of our life together.

We started with a tent and camping gears as a young couple. Then we had our daughter, and decided to buy a small used pop-up camper from a friend of ours.
As the family grew, we sold the camper and purchased a larger camping trailer, which we used for local camping trips.

We have been to many places together, but we always talk about the beautiful nature we saw when we traveled to Arkansas right after we got married. We purchased this cabin for us as well as others like you to provide opportunities to engage with nature, and have a wonderful time with your friends and family making great memories with them.

We hope you enjoy,
Nick & Masae

Why they chose this property

The cabin is located conveniently to enjoy both nature activities and the city of Hot Springs. It's only 5 to 10 minutes to the closest marina on Lake Ouachita, and there are several trails for hiking, mountain biking. or crystal hunting. The drive to Hot Springs is about 20 to 30 minutes depending on which part of the city you are visiting. They have a horse race track with a casino attached to is, the famous Bath House Row, or some other attractions such as water park, go cart, putt putt golf and shopping/restaurant areas.

What makes this property unique

We love the cabin because of the quietness. The fire pit area is open which allows children to run around and enjoy the nature while adults sit by the fire. The back deck is quite nice for morning coffee while you listen to the trees sway or birds tweet.
