Spacious, welcoming retreat at the end of long days exploring Florence and Tuscany
Total relaxation and comfort! Francesca (owner). Deanna (manager), and Claudia (housekeeper) know how to make their guests feel welcome. Our 3-generation family of seven adults thoroughly enjoyed this huge, 5-bedroom / 3 bathroom, bright u-shaped apartment on the edge of Florence's Historic centre. An easy stroll to everything on one's 'bucket list' - the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, riverside promenades, Piazza Michelangelo with its city views, two train stations, cafes, markets...and so much more, including gelato shops! The apartment had more-than-ample seating in the living room and dining room. Bedrooms were at the opposite end of the apartment, so naps could be enjoyed in peace and quiet. Air-conditioning throughout was a godsend in hot and muggy August (the no-see-ums and mosquitos, not so much). The intimate little kitchen lacked nothing. Although TV was available, it didn't receive signals during our stay - with good WiFi reception in (much of) the apartment, no one missed television programming. Over several years of stays in vacation apartments, this apartment exceeded our expectations. We will hope to return one day, and will definitely not hesitate to recommend it to friends and colleagues.
