"It's worth spending time with friends ... instead of losing your friends over time ... That's why I lose my time with you ... Because I do not want to lose you over time"
Hospitality is a real passion, leaving good memories is the mission.
This is the slogan that best represents us. Roberta & Nicola (sister & brother) with Ena and Roberto (mother and father) are the owners of this beautiful second house.
Nicola Pericoli purchased this house in 1998
Love for these places is not just a genetic question.
We are aware of the value of our history, created by the most famous historical figures in the world. Some was born right in these parts, all have visited and loved these places where they have also worked preciously. These are places that have certainly stimulated the minds of our great ancestors, including our indefatigable farmers who have worked our hard land wisely. Living in this area we constantly perceive all this.
That's why we chose to buy this house many years ago (Nicola - Architect).
PS: we live just 12 km from the villa
We love the panoramic view of the Arno's valley, the real Tuscany countryside with vineyards and olive groves, dotted with cypress trees.
The villa enjoys a beautiful location, we can see the valley but also the mountain, we enjoy a panoramic view of 360 degrees
Simon:"We chose Tuscany because we wanted to experience a cultural holiday, with a sense of isolation. We found that with Casale degli Ulivi, the Tuscan villa! The house was at the end of a dirt track, surrounded by vines and olive trees, with an idyllic view of the rolling Tuscan hills. We felt like we were miles from civilisation, yet it was only a 15 minute drive to the local station for express trains to Florence and Rome. The house itself had plenty of room for the six of us, and kept us cool during a very hot first week. The gardens and pool area kept us all either busy, or asleep in the sun. The film crew visited us early in the holiday, and it is a day we will all remember for a long time. The camera guys really immersed themselves (literally for the underwater cameraman!) in our day and had us in fits of laughter as they encouraged us to make the most of the pool and the kitchen. When I entered the competition there was some trepidation from a couple of the family about a day with a film crew, now everyone would like a film day every year!" We spent a week in the villa and had a fantastic, relaxed stay. Little touches like the basket ball hoop and table tennis table made the stay even better. Highly recommended, would definitely stay again.
Ideally situated with superb views, the villa was comfortable, spacious, well equipped and suited our family well.
The pool was a great size and extras like table tennis, badminton, books, etc were really appreciated.
Our family of 12 (ages 8 - 75) could not have asked for a more perfect setting for our recent vacation in Tuscany. The view from this villa of the gorgeous sunset over the Italian countryside had us eating on the terrace every evening instead of looking for a restaurant - and the cooking together as a family in the large kitchen was easy to do and a memory for the whole family for years to come! There was something for everyone - whether it be a friendly game of ping pong or a swim in the sparkling water of the pool, the house was enjoyed by all. And we saw the wild boar family every day as an added bonus! The service we received from Nicola was impeccable with recommendations for day trips and markets and he was always available should we need anything. We are already planning a repeat visit to this gorgeous place. It is not to be missed!
We wanted a location from which we could explore Tuscany & parts of Italy. In the middle of a ripening vineyard and shaded by olive trees, this home was perfect for our 3 week stay. With a son in Hong Kong and daughter in London, we wanted a special place for a family reunion. Plenty of space for 9 of us, this fit our needs in every way. Far enough from town to have unspoiled Tuscan views, yet close enough for trips to markets and trains in Figline. July & August heat was extreme at times, but the pool was cool and refreshing and bedrooms had A/C. Modern and well equipped we really were in need of nothing. We thank Nicola, Roberta & Claudio for their attentiveness. We followed their recommendations for a bike/wine tour, a chef night, and a babysitter. Very pleased with all. It will be very difficult for us to top this family get-together. We planned a year in advance for this trip and we were not disappointed. We will miss Tuscany and our new friends, and would highly recommend this venue.
We spent a fantastic week with our 2 children (4yrs & 8yrs) at this spacious villa. We wanted privacy and tranquility, and that's exactly what the villa gave us. The grounds were spread out, there were plenty of different areas to sit and relax, and the children could happily play in the garden and we knew they were safely away from the pool. The children loved the football/swing area and of course the pool. Inside, the villa had lots of space, the 4 of us rattled around it. The decor was a little dark and dated (especially the kitchen and bedrooms), but we soon got used to it and by the end of the week couldn't imagine it another way.
We took a day trip to Florence, we drove to Scandicci, parked at the supermarket, and got the tram in to the city centre (which the kids thought was great fun). We also went to the local pizzeria in Pian di Sco a couple of times and had great meals there.
Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to meet Nicola but all the communication beforehand was really friendly and helpful. Claudio did an excellent job of greeting us and showing us around.
We will have fond memories of our trip. The villa worked out really well for just our family but I can imagine it would also be perfect if you're in a larger group.
I can't say enough good things about our experience at Casala degli Ullivi. We left wishing that we had booked more nights here. The views are breathtaking, and there is tons of space. The home's owner even went out and purchased a basketball and new ping pong table equipment so that our teenage boys could enjoy their down time. Nicola went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and was a wonderful host. When we hopefully return to Italy in the future, this home will definitely be a part of our stay!
The villa is located in the hearth of Tuscany and it is the perfect starting point for tours to Florence, Chianti area, Siena. Moreover there is a whole range of interesting places worth seeing nearby. The property is situated in the area of Reggello, where hospitality has a long tradition. According to Chronicles of all times, travellers who stayed there praised the place: from Charlemagne to Lorenzo the Magnificent, celebrity guests seeking rest from their military campaigns or political worries. This area is very rich in natural and artistic treasures: you can visit Romanesque churches with works of Renaissance artists like Masaccio, Raffaellino del Garbo, Gerini, Ghirlandaio, Della Robbia. You can visit the Protected Natural Areas of Forest of Saint Anthony and the Crags, along with the historical Vallombrosa. This territory is also well-known for its beautiful landscape and its very special olive oil .
