2 bedroom apartment to sleep up to 5 in central lisbon, near the Chiado

This new 3rd floor city apartment is set in a renovated 19th century building and located on a quiet pedestrian cobbled street in the heart of Lisbon. From here you are a couple of minute walk to the Elevador da Bica, 5-10 minutes to the nearest subway, ferry and trains to Cascais and 5-10 Min to Bairro Alto where history, culture, entertainment and good food prevails.

It has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with 2 single beds, plus a double sofa bed. A fully equipped kitchen and a spacious south facing living room with French windows leading to a small balcony with great views of the river Tejo/

The apartment benefits from its private terrace, with flowers and barbecue. It's furnished with a table, 4 chairs and a bench (for 2 people), to enable you to dine al fresco.

First of all I will give 5 stars. The apartment is in absolute top location, is modern and very well maintained. Nothing is missing. The large roof terraced including grill and a clear view over the City and the river is unique.

From here you can easily explore on foot lisbon. But also public transportation are easily accessible.

The settlement with the owners is extremely comfortable. So we can highly recommend this place. We will definitely come back.

Great location, very clean & nice apartment for the three of us who were visiting Lisbon for 5 days. The landlady Maria & the local agency made the experience a good one all round. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

A Very Enjoyable Visit To Lisbon

This was our first visit to Lisbon and the first time we have used a holiday rental agency.

We found the owner extremely helpful and provided us with extensive and practical advice, as well as transport, restaurant and local shops, all of which were within easy walking distance. Transfer from the airport and handover arrangements were made by the apartment managers, for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Sleeping accomodation was adequate for two couples and the extra shower room was very useful. The large patio with fantastic views over the river was used each evening for pre- dinner drinks.

Not recommended for those using a car, but made up easily by walking or the excellent transport system.

Fantastic location to explore culture of Lisbon

The flat was beautifully cleaned and presented for our arrival, and the flat was just as had been described to us. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment, and everything worked. It was certainly a good idea to take a taxi from the airport, as we would have had difficulty finding the flat if we had taken public transport on arrival.

The views from the flat over the city and river are stunning, particularly morning and evening dusk when the cruise liners arrive and leave. There was plenty of information about Lisbon in the flat. In particular, we made great use of the Lisboa card and planned our visits to sites in Lisbon, Belem and Sintra using the information provided. It also enabled us to use trains, trams, metro, Bica to move around the city. We certainly did not need a hire car.

The flat is so centrally located that there are many restaurants within a short distance, and we enjoyed our meals in the Bairro Alto. Although we do not speak Portuguese, we were always able to communicate using either English or Castillian Spanish, and we found people very friendly and willing to help.

The October weather was rather mixed, but it did not prevent us from exploring the rich cultural heritage of Lisbon. We would like to visit it again when the weather is a little more reliable and will certainly recommend it to friends and relatives!

Living with the Locals

The three of us stayed at this apartment and loved it. The location was very ideal. We felt like we were living with the locals. There is a bar right downstairs called Barbica - very friendly and with wi-fi internet service. They serve quiche and hamburgers in addition to the ubiquitous Super Bock and vinho da casa - delicious! There is also a local mini supermarket that serves coffee. You can mingle with the locals there in the morning. The apartment is exactly like it is pictured. We did not use the terrace since it rained most of the time but the view from there is beautiful. We highly recommend this place.

Modern Lovely apartment Next to Bica Elevator!!!

We recently rented this apartment next to Bica Elevator, round the corner from the Bars in Bairra Alto. The apartment pictures are as described in the photos, and it has a wonderful view towards the sea. The apartment is very modern and the extra bathroom is very useful for all 4 of us. We found the location is excellent, closed to mini precco supermarkets (one up the hill and one down the hill) and its only 10 mins walk to the train station Cais de Sodre which we took daily to Caicais/Estoril beaches.There is also sims available for WIFI access, just need to top it up round the corner. When we have the plumber problems the agency were very efficient arranged for same day repairs. Its on the 3rd floor and has excellent views. Tram 28 is just up the road and takes you to St George Castle. The outdoor terrace also face the sea, so if you do not fancy going to the beach, you can top up you tan up there. We didnot use the terrace much though. Overall its an excellent apartment, would use the apartment again when we return to Lisbon.

Lisbon is a very interesting city from its rich architecture (Classical, Art Deco, Art Nouveau are everywhere), to it's catholic churches and city trams.

Seen as the city of light for some and certainly the home of Fado, with many Fado bars and the Fado museum, it's full of cafes ( must for the Portuguese), restaurants and bars, most with very reasonable prices.
