Self Catering 2 Bedroom apartment close to all amenities 50 metres from the promenade & rocky beaches of Marsaskala where you can enjoy walking along the seafront, visiting heritage sites, dining in open air restaurants or enjoy a couple of beers at one of the numerous pubs. Ten minutes away on foot you can visit St.Thomas Castle. Five minutes away from the apartment, there is the bus terminus (centre of Marsaskala) where you can visit the medieval three cities. These are three small citadel-cities in the port dating back to the 15th century full of old palazzi, museums, and a new beautifully built waterfront. Charming in these small cities are old churches, castles, heritage museums, a casino, good restaurants and local wine bars. From the Marsaskala bus terminus you can also visit Valletta and all its treasures such as St John's Cathedral, Upper Barrakka Gardens, Castille Place, Manoel Theatre, President's Palace, St James' Cavallier

Two minutes away you will find the bus stop and with 2.60euro (day ticket) or 12euros (week ticket) you can take a direct bus to Valletta (capital city), Marsaxlokk (traditional Maltese fishing village), Birzebbuga Pretty bay (big sandy beach), the airport and the Three Cities (small citadel cities built in the 15th century with palaces and narrow streets. If you change bus in Valletta you can go anywhere.

Our 8 days on holiday in Malta at this property and were entirely satisfying.

Firstly, the location: it is perfect. Only one minute´s walk from the Marsaskala front with bars, restaurants, good shopping and abundant bus rides. But amazingly peaceful .. i was able to sit out on the balcony which oversees the small harbour till late without any noise disturbance.

Secondly, the service of Maryanne (the owner) is 100%: from picking me up at the airport, ensuring I knew how everything functioned. The apartment fully complies with its description and is a comfortable and pleasant "home-away-from-home".

Malta was a delight : the Maltese are helpful and friendly and the island itself a treasure. I look forward to returning.... "

Great Maltese stay!

We spent wonderful 10 days in this apartment with a beautiful view on the harbour of Marsascala. The place was very clean and comfortable. Everything worked fine and there were even many brochures and books about Malta. The hosts were very helpful. We were transferred from and to the airport having a nice chat about the island's attractions.

Marsascala, a bit sleepy at daytime, becomes alive in the evenings when the seafront bursts with energy with all the bars and restaurants and people strolling along the bay. There is very good swimming just near the apartment, although rocky. Water is crystal clear. We traveled around Malta by bus which is comfortable and brings you to all attractive sites. Most routes run through the capital of Valetta which is a true gem.

We recommend this place to all who like like being active on holiday. Thank you Julian and Marianne for this wonderful time!

Home from home with a lovely view !

Lovely home from home apartment owned & run by a very helpful & friendly family. All your requirements are there & the location is perfect. We struggled with transport from the apartment we were staying in Valletta & Julian helped us organise a taxi as they had double booked ! Marianne took us to to the airport which was a great help & much appreciated. No negative comments & would recommend.

Splendid little hideaway!

Stayed here for 8 days in July, weather was 35 degrees plus. The apartment was lovely with beautiful views of the harbour. Restaurant and shops nearby and Marianne very helpful offering transfer to and from the airport. Most facilities provided for but I must say the heat in the apartment was suffocating and even with many fans going, there was little respite from temperatures this high. This place could be perfect with installation of air conditioning which is why I have only graded it 3 stars.

Little Gem

What a lovely apartment home from home everything that you need is there. Marianne was wonderful picking us up from the airport and returning us back. The view of the harbour is wonderful and buses shops and restaurants are all close by .Would certainly go back Derek and Sheena Birmingham

Lovely location

Just returned from Malta, the apartment is clean and had everything and more than needed for our visit, Thank you Marrianne for the pick up from the airport and for taking us back at that early hour for our flight home. The apartment is in a quiet residential area but close to all the amenities, We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening watching the sun set. The wifi connection and download speeds were excellent, the beds are comfortable, the local shops are well stocked at reasonable prices (try the icecream from the confectioners). The bus stop was just around the corner and we found the bus services good, every 10 mins into Valletta and at €1.50 for a day ticket that can be used on any bus on the island very reasonable (most air conditioned too!). 2 suggestions, a visitors book for personal recommendations of places to visit and restaurants to eat at, (Marrianne does tell you about places to visit and local information on the way from the airport) and although the fans are good maybe think about installing air conditioning as these days with all the electrical equipment on permanently, the temperature is raised inside.

Marsaskala was a small fishing port. Nowadays, it’s a small entertainment village (especially in summer) with plenty of restaurants and bars. It is situated in the southern part of Malta, although it is only 20 minutes away from Valletta by car or 30 minutes by bus. In Marsaskala there are plenty of places to swim (both rocky and sandy beaches). Although Marsaskala is small and ideal for relaxing and quality time with your loved ones, Paceville (nightclub city), Valletta (capital city), Marsaxlokk (picturesque fishing port), Paola and Hamrun (shopping cities), the three cities (Birgu, Bormla, Isla - three small cities built circa 1500), St.Julian's (trendy restaurants), Pretty bay (large sandy beach), Sliema (tourist hotspot) etc. are just 15/20 minutes away or less by car.

Golf: Not far away from Marsaskala, there is the Marsa golf club where you can play golf (15 mins by car)

  • This apartment is ideal for couples & families because there are plenty of things for the kids in the area (the sea, playnig field, small zoo, castles) and Malta is very safe. In the apartment there is a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (one of them en suite with shower), bathroom (with bath), a bright and spacious living room (internet connection & tv channels), one sofa which can be used as a sofa bed and one seafront balcony. The apartment is in a calm residential area, with 2 mini-markets and a scuba diving shop less that 2 minutes away on foot. St Thomas Bay (or 'Ir-Ramla' as it is affectionately known by the Maltese, means 'the small sandy one') is a small natural inlet in the south of Malta. There is a small sandy beach and a long rocky coastline where you can swim. As you walk further, you will find small rocky inlets, a cave and other nice natural places to swim or just to watch the sun rise or set...
