Chiado 1 is located at Travessa Joao de Deus, 12, 2nd floor (no elevator), in the desirable Chiado area. The heart of Lisbon, a trendy, vivid fashionable part of town.
Location is unbeatable: within minutes walking distance you will find all types of restaurants, fado houses, luxury shops, latest fashion bars, clubs, theatres, supermarkets, neighbourhood grocery stores and small cafes.
The flat is a great starting point to discover Lisbon: many points of interest are just outside the front door and within 3 to 5 minutes walk you will find the National Theatre, the City Hall Theatre, Trindade Theatre and the Opera House, as well as the Baixa/Chiado Metro Station and the famous 28 tram stops. Railway station to Sintra is also a 3 minute walk. Railway station to Estoril/Cascais beaches is 10 minutes walking distance.

Chiado 1 is a charming 2 bedrooms apartment in a building built in the year 2000.
Decoration is refined, some how minimalist but very cozy.
Rooms are very comfortable with built in closets and the living room is spacious with a separated dinning area.
Kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use. The whole flat is very well equipped: 2 cable TV, DVD, 2 Hi-Fi, Wi-Fi and hot tub.
There is reversible (heat and cold) air conditioner in both bedrooms and in the living room.
Last but not the least, the flat comes with a parking place located in a public car parking 3 minutes away. A real luxury in centre town!

Great location but needs some updates.

The apartment was located in a great area with lots of yummy restaurants and ice cream places nearby! The apartment is spacious enough for a family of four but is really dated and some of the furniture looks dirty/stained. The shower curtain was mouldy/mildew and bathroom counter top has been broken and pieced back together. The host was kind and left some hand drawn maps, a bottle of wine and a good stack of coffee pods. Overall, it was an ok apartment based on its location but not what we were expecting.

Convenient

Centrally located with a number of nice restaurants nearby. Not much in terms of view but we were out the whole day anyway! Car park space was a nice bonus and it was at a secure location, just beware that it is located 6 levels below ground and some of the spaces within were a little tight, so drive carefully!

Lovely apartment in great location

The apartment is in a wonderful location; very central and close to the action but at the same time quiet It was exactly as described, stylish, comfortable and well-maintained. We didn't eat at home during our stay but the kitchen appeared very well-equipped and we really appreciated the nespresso machine and the bottle of wine we received on arrival.It was great having Mario so closeby to help with ordering taxis and dealing with any questions we had, and he was wonderfully kind and helpful. We can thoroughly recommend this apartment.

We definitely plan to come back!

I would say that I'm pretty fussy when it comes to holiday rentals...a lot of the time reviews can be misleading and you can be disappointed...you won't be here. All the reviews are spot on, it really is a great place to stay. The apartment is in a fantastic location - with all transport options close by and the famous Bairro Alto in walking distance. Chiado is a beautiful area with lots of character and charm, you could easily spend a whole week in just this area alone. We also did a day trip to Sintra which was excellent and well worth doing (you can get a train straight there from nearby rail station 'Rossio'). The apartment is great, clean, spacious (there was only two of us), and the kitchen has all that you need to prepare meals at home. Towels are provided and a cleaner also came once within our week's stay which was a nice touch. Mario was very helpful and super efficient throughout the booking process and he was promptly at the apartment to meet us on our arrival and also came when we left to wave us goodbye and book us a taxi which we really appreciated...a great host. The complimentary Fado Flats T-Shirts were a really sweet gesture too. The whole experience was relaxed and hassle-free and we will definitely be in touch with Mario on any return visits to this beautiful city and would happily reccomend the apartment to friends and family.
