4 bedroom , 3 bathroom house with nearby pubs, restaurants and sandy beach.

Come and stay in our recently renovated former sea captain's house in the heart of the small seaside village of Nefyn. It is light and airy in the summer and warm and cosy in the winter with a multi fuel stove in the living room. It has been refurbished to a high standard and retains many original features including Minton flooring and sash windows. It is a perfect retreat for a family holiday with a tree house, swing and slide in the garden.It is close to all amenities with shops, restaurants, a pub and Post Office less than 5 minutes walk and the sandy beach 8 minutes walk . It is less than 2 miles from the spectacularly located Nefyn and District Golf club at Morfa Nefyn.

My husband, myself and 3 daughters aged 12, 10 and 6 live in Manchester and bought this property as we have always loved the natural beauty and quiet charm of the Llyn Peninsula. For us it is the perfect place for a truly relaxing family holiday. We get to Nefyn regularly and hope you like the 'home from home' we have created.

What makes this house unique

The off road parking and enclosed grassy garden make it a safe haven for families. It is in fantasic location within the village itself and a short stroll along the foot path to reach the sheltered sandy beach.... plus NEW for 2016 beautiful well equipped Beach Hut available to rent in summer months.

The weekend went really well due to the relaxed and tidy house that met all the criteria as advertised.. Available on the phone if needed and ideal place for a family visit. Nefyn was Nefyn! Lovely, friendly visit. Warm and confortable! Thank you!

Very spacious and homely

The house was very spacious and well equipped. We had a lovely stay there with 5 adults (inc. 2 couples) and 4 children (inc. 2 infants). The garden was lovely and though the town itself isn't fantastic there are a number of beautiful spots in the area within a short drive. The host was very helpful and accommodating of our specific requirements. I would highly recommend the property to families looking to discover the area.

Comfortable, well-equipped house in great location

The house is the perfect size for two families - we had plenty of space. The bedrooms are all well-furnished and spacious, with plenty of room to hang clothes or put things in drawers. Having three bathrooms/shower rooms was a real bonus, too. The utility room came in very handy for washing/drying clothes and storing sandy shoes!

We did a lot of cooking while we were there, and found the kitchen to be very well equipped - all the pots, pans, utensils, bowls and containers and various bits and bobs that you could wish for.

The beach at Nefyn is great, too. We spent practically every day there. Morfa Nefyn was also nice, and we really enjoyed Porth Iago and Porth Oer (Whistling Sands). We also walked up one of the big hills behind the house, and managed to get some lovely views from up there.

I'd really recommend this house for a large family or two families. It was clean, comfortably furnished and really felt like a "home from home". The kids enjoyed playing the (full size) keyboard and the adults attempted to play the guitar. Plenty of toys/games/books too.

We'd love to come back one day.

Fantastic!

Clean, spacious house for our 4 adults and 3 children party and a lovely little garden. Location great for exploring Nefyn on foot and as a base for the beautiful Llyn Peninsula. Blessed with glorious weather too, and many highlights (both beaches, Ty Coch pub and beach/cliff walks). Nant Gwrtheyrn nearby especially worth a visit. Would definitely come back and the welcome tray of tea/coffee with Welsh cakes was a nice touch. Great communications from the owners as well!

Nefyn is a former fishing village on the north shore of the Llyn Peninsula. The Lleyn is designated an 'Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty' . With unspoilt sandy beaches, 84 miles of coastal paths, woodlands and hill walking it is easy to see why. The house is 8 minutes walk from the nearest sandy beach at Nefyn which offers a sheltered bay for water sports and swimming. Only 300m to the cliff top for unrivalled sea and mountain views. Glan Aber is in the heart of the village of Nefyn with local grocery shops, a pharmacy, post office, newsagent, cafe, pub and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Garn Boduan rises behind the house with one of the largest ancient hill forts in the British Isles on its summit. Golf, horse riding, surfing, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting , go kart racing, indoor swimming pool, steam trains all within 30 minutes drive. More activities and shopping opportunities are available at Abersoch, Pwllheli, Caernarfon and Criccieth.

  • The accommodation is spaciuous over 3 floors. There is one cot provided in the attic double room but it would be possible to add a travel cot into any of the rooms should you wish to bring your own . There is a very convenient utility room with washing machine, tumble drier, and pulley maid drying rack, iron and ironing board. there is also an outside washing line and pegs. TOWELS, other than hand towels, ARE NOT PROVIDED.
