This delightful old stone property has just been completely refurbished and comprises three light, airy and spacious apartments: The ground floor studio with its terrace over-looking the river, the middle two bedroom apartment with a covered veranda over-looking the river and the upper one bedroom apartment with a large terrace, partly covered, again with delightful river views.

The lovely old village of Collias has bar, restaurants and shops all within three minutes' walk of the house. The River Gardon and its gorges are on the doorstep, with swimming, canoeing and riverside walks, river birds, beavers and other wildlife. Beautiful medieval Uzes, the famous Pont du Gard, Nimes and Avignon are all a short drive away. Vineyards, cultural events, Provençal landscapes and medieval hilltop villages are all close at hand.

Little paradise with a touch of boho-chic

We spent two fanastic weeks in this cosy and with a stylish and clean boho chic furnished studio. We felt very very comfortable. Jenny, the owner, was so friendly and sympathetic, even when our little dog barked sometimes (sorry for that, Jenny). We truly can recommend this studio!!!!!

And one tip for everyone who stays in Jenny´s House: A visit of the Creperie (only a few steps away) is a very good idea. They offer the best Galettes and Crepes we´ve ever eaten!!!

Lovely property, lovely area, lovely lady

Stayed here for a week, the lovely little town is right on the river with the apartment around 500m away from the river bank. The small village has a shop to get essential items, with a bakery as well. The many cafes and restaurants were very welcoming and friendly (especially if you like wine). Jenny could not of been more helpful going above and beyond anyone i have rented from in the past to make our stay as pleasant as she could, even helping us to book taxis.

If possible it is advisable to hire a car as the village is fairly remote and the small shop does not have everything you many need for a stay. There is a bus service (1.50 euros) however it is fairly infrequent so you have to be careful not to get stranded. There are steps to the apartment which can be slightly treacherous when wet, it is also located down and round a few hills so many not be suitable for certain groups.

There are many things to do around the area, canoeing is very popular as well as walks around the river and going to the wine caves. There is a shared pool which is a lovely little sun trap in the evenings.

Not a bad word to say about our stay, would definitely recommend it. Thanks Jenny for being so kind and helpful.

Feel Good Factor for a perfect week!

What we liked best:

a) Studio Apartment is beautifully renovated, providing real feel good factor

b) Location v. close to river allowed lovely riverside walks

c) Collias is small sleepy but wonderfully eclectic village full of surprises

d) Loads of interesting things to do (Uzez market, Nimes, Avignon, Wine & Olive Oil tours, beautiful walks, canoe rides and much more...)

e) Owner Jenny was welcoming and helpful and sets high standards

f) Safe and secure parking right outside property

Worth bearing in mind:

a) Streets in Collias are winding and very narrow - big cars be careful!

b) 4 - 5 steps up to entrance doors are steep and narrow without handrail

Overall we had a wonderful week and we are planning a return visit - cannot vote better than that!

Delightful studio

We had a lovely week staying in the studio. It has everything that you need to be comfortable and to cook meals and the delightful Jenny is so helpful and keen to ensure that you have a great stay. She was a mine of useful information on places to visit, walks to do, restaurants to dine at and general information. Don't miss out on wine tasting at the delightful Les Cabotines - a short walk away.

Great Place

My wife and I stopped in the Studio Apartment. It was just like in the pictures. Loads of room, very comfortable, massive bed with all the things you could possibly want. It also has its own parking just across the road. Perfect

It is located just up from the river, which after the weekend rush of people, is beautiful and just brilliant. Taking a Kayak down the river to the Pont Du Gard was fantastic fun, the best way to see the it and is a must for everyone who goes (do it during the week, the river is crowed during the weekend).

Jenny is a great host, good fun and always willing to help.

Collias is a lovely friendly village, with some nice restaurants and a few shops. We ate out 3 times (l'alpha B, Creperie, Bar de la breche) and were all good, the rest of the evenings we just sat out on our small (very) terrace and chilled with a bottle of wine.

It is a great place to have as a base and do some touring, there our loads of places to see. The highlights being Kayaking down the river to Pont Du Gard, Uzes on Wednesday Market day (it is a great place all the time but was really buzzing on Wednesday) and going to Arles and onto the Camargue.
