This delightful old stone property has just been completely refurbished and comprises three light, airy and spacious apartments: The ground floor studio with its terrace over-looking the river, the middle two bedroom apartment with a covered veranda over-looking the river and the upper one bedroom apartment with a large terrace, partly covered, again with delightful river views.

The lovely old village of Collias has bar, restaurants and shops all within three minutes' walk of the house. The River Gardon and its gorges are on the doorstep, with swimming, canoeing and riverside walks, river birds, beavers and other wildlife. Beautiful medieval Uzes, the famous Pont du Gard, Nimes and Avignon are all a short drive away. Vineyards, cultural events, Provençal landscapes and medieval hilltop villages are all close at hand.

Riverside beauty!

The apartment is very spacious and tastefully decorated. Jenny the owner was very friendly and helpful. The kids loved the clean pool. The house is a stones throw from the river, which has lovely clear water to swim in and a great cliff to jump off! The village is pretty with some good restaurants and a excellent wine cave. Kayaking down the river is highly recommended, along with the night market in Nimes. Avignon, Uzes and the Pont du Gard are also worth a few visits.

Fantastic

We stayed in the middle apartment and it was lovely, tastefully and comfortably furnished with everything we needed for a week's holiday. It was pleasantly cool inside in unseasonably high temperatures for September. Outside, there is a terrace with a small swimming pool which we supposedly shared with other guests but we always had exclusive use. It is a very pleasant spot to sit on a warm evening, glass in hand.

Collias is a gem with its narrow winding streets and paths by the river. There are lots of French families here at the weekend but in September it is fairly quiet midweek. We are a retired couple who enjoy walking and visiting the locality but there are plenty of sporting activities available for the more energetic. We loved Avignon and Uzes.

Perhaps the most outstanding feature of this property is its owner, Jenny, for whom nothing is too much trouble. We were unfortunate to have our suitcases stolen from the boot of our hire car in Nimes. Jenny offered to come to help us (although that was not necessary) and produced some basic 'kit' as we only had what we were wearing.

Despite this experience we would love to return.

A truly wonderful stay

We stayed at Jenny's property in the middle apartment in Collias for a week, and really wish we could have stayed longer. Jenny was a wonderful host, and the apartment was as described, but really even better. It was impeccably clean, the beds were wonderfully comfortable and it has a lovely welcoming feel of home. Collias is a fantastic place to base your stay of this area, and this apartment is ideally situated within the town as it is very close to the river and walking trail. Within 3-5 minute walk from the apartment there is a boulangerie, 2 small epicerie, and cafe as well as three restaurants. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this lovely property. Thanks very much Jenny for a super stay!

Magnifique appartement dans un village de rêve

Pour les amoureux de calme et de nature, Collias est un site merveilleux.

L'appartement moderne, confortable, spacieux doté d'une cuisine parfaite et bien équipée, situé à deux pas de la rivière et des chemins de randonnée. Lorsqu'on entre dans cette charmante maison si typique, on se sent immédiatement "chez soi" baigné dans une chaleureuse atmosphère. Ma maman et moi-même voulions nous ressourcer et découvrir le Pont du Gard et Uzès, ce séjour a donc été très réussi et nous donne envie de renouveller cette expérience pendant l'été ou l'automne.

Nous avons été également séduites par l'accueil très sympathique de Jenny.

Wonderful apartment and wonderful owner

We were referred to Jenny by another owner after a booking we had made previously fell apart.

We need somewhere immediately and despite Jenny only just having returned from a trip she made the apartment available the next day. What a wonderful piece of luck! We stayed in the two bedroom apartment and it was perfect. The kitchen was brand new and all the other furnishings were of a very good standard. It is very spacious with two eating areas, including the kitchen diner where you can open all the windows and be ‘sitting outside’ with views of the river.

The building is beautifully restored and just steps away from the river with walks in both directions. There is a pool, although as we were there in March it was too chilly to use but would be lovely in the summer.

Jenny was very helpful in making suggestions for visits, including The Tractor Restaurant which we never managed to get to – maybe next time.

Collias is perfectly situated to visit many places of interest, Nimes, Avignon, Orange, Uzes, Beaucaire, Aigues Mortes to name just a few. There are a few shops in the village and a huge Carrefour a few minutes away. Most of the local villages have markets which are a lovely way to spend an hour or so.

Our navigation system had problems with the tiny narrow lanes of Collias but a quick call to Jenny and she came and found us.

All in all a perfect spot!
