About this property

This beautiful cosy stone-faced cottage for two adults is in the middle of rural Mallorca. Our special abode is not all you get when you come to us.
The finca is located 1.8km from the nearest village, Porreres. It has a 6m x 11m pool, furnished terraces all around the house and a large garden. It is 15–30 minutes from the south and eastern beaches.

The house is made up of living space with a closed wood-burning fire, an open kitchen, a double bedroom with a dressing room, a bathroom with a sunken bathtub.
We have an extensive library. There is an outside 4 poster double bed, as well, for when the weather permits.
The house runs on Solar energy and an artesian well for water. We do not have air conditioning, but an overhead fan in the bedroom. The house is surrounded by many different kinds of herbs, plants and rose bushes which harmonise the house and its extended space.
We have 8.000m2 of cultured garden space with many quiet hidden spots to relax, meditate, read or just bake in the sun.

We live in the adjoining house, completely separately, and have a dog and a cat. Our pets enjoy saying good morning and visiting our guests during their stay, and everyone has enjoyed it very much!

The cottage is fully fitted out with basic domestic necessities which we ask our guests to replenish as needed. You do not need to buy water, we have our own freshwater. We make your holidays as comfortable and happy as possible. We supply umbrellas. Beach towels not supplied.

Should you have friends or family on the island at the same time we also have the facility for you to occasionally entertain your guests at another separate terrace near the cottage, in the garden, under the Mulberry trees at a large table for up to 10 people.

Charming property, quiet location, friendly hosts

We enjoyed our stay! The location is good, we were able to reach Palma or any Southern beach with a 40-minute ride. The apartments are nice and clean. Electrical power is provided by solar cells only (with an accumulator for the night). The gardens are beautiful and the same applies generally to the outside area. The owners are friendly and helpful. Thanks for your hospitality!

2 Wochen auf der Finca bei Thomas und Ruth

Leider war in der 1 Nacht der Rost des Außenbetts beim Hinsetzen gebrochen. Alle Lattenhalterungen porös, gebrochen oder fehlten. Ein Brett schaffte am Tag darauf Abhilfe. In den Töpfen waren eingebrannte Essensreste, die Kaffeemaschine ein Melitta Wasserfilter mit Thermoskanne, der Toaster ohne Brötchenaufsatz, der Grill ohne -Bürste und -Zange, Stereoanlage für Kinder wie Lenco SCD24. Nach 25 Min. kam heißes Wasser zum Spülen. Die Kühl-Gefrier-Kombination war innen vergilbt, außen rostig und rissig, wenn der Motor zu vibrieren anfing konnte man dagegen drücken, dann war er wieder leise. Der "voll ausgestattete Kunstraum" war eine offene Bastelecke für Kinder. Die und der Pool waren der Grund warum wir bereit waren so viel Geld pro Tag zu bezahlen. Leider hat die Umwälzpumpe einen Lagerschaden und war sehr laut. Der Installateur in Urlaub. Das Metallgestell der Liegen verrostet dass man durch schauen kann. Die Holzliegen mit ausgeleierten Scharnieren, "bitte nicht verstellen". Ich habe es versucht, danach die Liege wieder zusammengebaut. Das Sonnensegel gibt für 1 Liege Schatten. >Poolaufenthalt: Sonne pur, Lärm der Pumpe, also kurz. Die "8000 m2 gepflegter Gartenfläche mit vielen ruhigen versteckten Stellen, um sich zu erholen, zu meditieren, zu lesen oder einfach nur in der Sonne zu backen." sind vertrocknet und verwahrlost. Das Gestell einer Hollywoodschaukel zum verrosten in der linken Ecke, eine dreckige durchgebrochene Kunststoffliege gegenüber, eine verdreckte, aufgestellte Matratze im Rondell mit Hängematte, überall vertrockneter Hundekot. Sorry das lädt nicht zum Verweilen oder meditieren ein. Leider kann man hier keine Bilder hinterlegen. Der Hund darf mit in den Pool zur Abkühlung und Wäsche. Der Blick vom Pool geradeaus: kaputte Filteranlage mit kreisförmiger Baustelle. Blick nach links 2 Sonnenpaneele, 1 davon kaputt mit Löchern, dazwischen ein verrostetes 2x3m großes Gymnastikgerät, links daneben eine rostige Stellage. Atmosphäre: Schrottplatz. Angeblich liefert der Artesische Brunnen 1500 L Wasser/Std. Genügend um das ganze Grundstück zu bewässern. Wenn man es tut. Leider waren alle Parkflächen total ausgetrocknet, bis auf 1m um den Pool herum und im Privatgarten war es flächendeckend grün. Da steht auch die Klimaanlage für das Privathaus direkt vor dem Schlafzimmerfenster der Gäste. Die dann laut brummt, wenn man sich bei Hitze in den kühlsten Raum zurückziehen will. Vielen Dank. Wir werden nie mehr über FeWo-direkt buchen.

Nett, ruhig, etwas abgelegen

Wir waren kürzlich mit unseren beiden Kindern (0 und 2 Jahre) für zwei Wochen in Ruths und Thomas Finca und hatten dort eine schöne Zeit. Ruth und Thomas sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten nach allem Fragen. Ruth hat sogar extra für unsere kleine Spielsachen bereitgestellt. Die Finca liegt ziemlich ab vom Schuss, was herrliche Ruhe mit sich bringt, allerdings muss man auch wirklich für alles fahren. In der Finca spielt sich so gut wie alles draußen ab, im Haus selbst ist nicht ganz so viel Platz (braucht man aber auch nicht). Der Außenbereich ist weitläufig und von einem großen Garten umgeben, der wirklich sehr schön ist, allerdings hätten wir uns gewünscht, dass hier ab und an mal gefegt und sauber gemacht wird. Leider haben wir zwei ziemlich windige und stürmische Wochen auf Mallorca erwischt, wodurch vielen Blätter und Sand durch die Gegend flogen. Dadurch sah unser schöner Außenbereich schnell nicht mehr so einladend aus. Wir finden allerdings, dass man für den relativen hohen Mietpreis erwarten kann, dass hiernach etwas mehr geschaut wird. Gleiches gilt für den Poolbereich. Der Pool an sich war zwar schön und sauber, um den Pool herum lagen jedoch überall Sachen herum und es sah nicht besonders einladend aus. Hier war aber deutlich zu sehen, dass die Saison sich dem Ende neigt und dass Aufräumen und Saubermachen angesagt waren. Deshalb haben wir hier nur wenig Zeit verbracht. Dennoch, alles in allem hatten wir eine schöne Zeit und wurden freundlich von Thomas und Ruth empfangen. Lieben Dank dafür :)

Tolle Finca mit tollen Gastgebern für einen entspannten Urlaub

Wir haben einen entspannten und harmonischen Urlaub auf der wunderschönen und liebevoll gepflegten Finca verbracht. Die Kinder und wir hatten viel Freude mit dem Hund und den Pool und der kreativen Ecke. Die Gastgeber Ruth, Thomas und Linda sind sehr nette Menschen und exzellente Gastgeber, freundlich, hilfsbereit, zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wunderbar

Die Finca ist zwar nicht besonders groß oder üppig ausgestattet, aber die Terrasse und der Garten sind allerliebst. Besser geht es nicht. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und kümmern sich um alles. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

I am Irish originally from Howth, north point of Dublin bay, my husband Thomas Moll is from Hamburg and we have been living in Mallorca for 30 years. We have 4 adult children and have built our home in the country near the village which the children describe as our little part of paradise to share.

Why they chose this property

After fifteen years of contented house guests, we are happy to say that it is a property suited to people who want to get away from the busy life to some peace and quiet. Some have come and gone without even us knowing that they were there, complete discretion to privacy is respected at all times. Others have come and sat on our terrace many evenings with us, seeking hospitality and company, which we are happy to provide.
Families with small children feel very safe here and all baby accessories are supplied. For families with older children, they often spend half the holiday in the pool, relaxing, playing board games, and watching films!
We try to provide something for everyone in our little world which we have spent 15 years creating.

What makes this property unique

The island of Mallorca has received generous sums of European monies and has put it to great use rebuilding the road network on the island. This is so very important for an economy which is dependent on its tourists. From Porreres all coastal towns of the island are available in less than one hour by car. You can have magnificent day tours, reaching historic houses, lovely beaches, mountain walks, shopping malls, and the charming old-world Palma, one of the most beautifully restored medieval city ports in Europe.
The variety of the island of Mallorca is what makes it so attractive. Mountain ranges, with breathtaking cliff-views along the north coast to the peaceful quiet beaches, in the east and the south. Rolling planes in the centre of the island, with charming rural communities, living the traditional life maintaining its cultural identity.
For those interested there are many very old settlements from foregone eras, showing life from up to 6000 BC. Close to us there are three. All these are under half an hour away.

Centrally located, you are in Palma, in the mountains, on the nicest beaches within 25 minutes. You can drink our water and the great local wines. There is our unique garden with lots of private sitting areas, to read or sleep and enjoy the warmth of the Mediterranean sun.
