Motion-sensor garden lighting has also been installed to provide easy access at night and to accentuate the stunning natural setting.
Finding Us: By Air: Geneva airport is the closest major airport (BA, Swiss, EasyJet etc.) and about 1hr 45 mins drive away from Nendaz. Main operators offer a huge selection of flights from major European destinations, with London Heathrow and Gatwick no exception. Winter schedule also available to Sion.
By Car: The drive from Calais to Nendaz is typically 9-10 hrs direct.
By Train: Sion is on the main line between Milan and Geneva/Lausanne with several express services every hour.
We booked this chalet for our family, two adults and 3 teenage children. The chalet although just out of Nendaz is just a short drive to the slopes making it a suitable place to stay providing you have a vehicle. The chalet is well equiped, comfortably furnished, new and warm. The english tv channels were a great hit with the children along with the board games! It has great views and makes a perfect base to stay to enjoy the skiing regions of The four valleys including Verbier. We have already booked the chalet for the end of the month to come again.
Just got home from a wonderful week of winter - where we must admit that Chalet
Des Sapins live up to expectations - it was a nice apartment with a lot of room - nice, clean and with stunning views.
Can only be recommended.
Us from Denmark
We've stayed in the chalet from the 2nd to 12th of January. Chalet is very good and cozy, it has very well equiped kitchen, large living area space.
A couple of negative details:
- the bus is not for free to Nendaz Station, because it is not Ski Bus, but the regular;
- some of previous visitors had reset a wifi access point and the Internet had not worked;
If you ask me would I go to the chalet again, I answer Sure I will!
I first stayed at Chalet des Sapins three years ago and have been coming back with friends and family ever since. We love the fact the chalet is stylish but homely too, and is only a few minutes away from the slopes of Nendaz, (great for beginners and where I first learnt to ski). For the more experienced skier, the challenging runs of Verbier are easy to access via Siviez, which is 10 minutes down the road. So, basically you get the great pistes of Verbier – without the expensive prices. Perfect! If you’re a foody like me, the restaurants and bars of Nendaz are fantastic, serving up a wide variety of cuisine, from traditional fondue to the best Italian food outside of Italy. But we usually spend our evenings in - frankly, no restaurant has a view to compare. I could never get bored of nursing aching limbs by the burner with a glass of wine and looking down on the twinkling lights of Sion. Which is why we’ve already booked in for next year!
