About this property

Beautiful elevated Beach House with a private heated pool situated in the sought after residential north end of Anna Maria Island. Superbly located, only 2 minutes walk to the best beaches, only in the north end do you have access to the Gulf and Bay beaches, watch the dolphins, see the huge variety of birds and watch the glorious sunsets. The location is just what is needed for a relaxing holiday. The house offers two outdoor areas, the pool is situated in a mature tropical garden and has a paved area for loungers and large sheltered deck with a ceiling fan. Relax on the sofa and chairs or dine at the beautiful wooden table. For breakfast sit on the front deck overlooking the tropical neighbourhood, in this very quiet area. Large choice of recommended restaurants nearby. Stroll to the famous Sandbar Restaurant, have dinner and watch the sun go down over the Gulf of Mexico. Fishing, boat trips, golf, shopping all with in easy reach, information pack provided. Note we visit for 9 weeks a year to make sure that the property offers a very high standard to our guests.

Stunning

The location is the best on the island, a two minute walk to the best beach and 10 minutes to the city pier where you can eat and drink overlooking the Ocean. The property is immaculate and gives you that perfect beach style home experience. It's the second time we have stayed hear and we are already planning our third.

Perfect in every way!

Fern Cottage was perfect and just as described. It was extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The upstairs deck was perfect for breakfast, overlooking a very quiet street. The pool area was outstanding, lots of seating, lots of shade when you needed a break from the hot AMI sun. The fridge was a welcome addition when we wanted a cold drink. The pool was amazing, lots of room to swim and play. Gill was very easy to communicate with and our security deposit was quickly returned on our return. Key pick up and return was very straightroward. Fern Cottage is ideally suited for both beach and bay and we hope to return one day.

The house is wonderful and we had a fantastic time

The house is wonderful and we had a fantastic time there. I have rented many properties in different locations across Europe and the States and I can honestly say that this is the best. The house is beautifully decorated, well equipped and felt more like a home than a rental property. We had everything we needed down to beach cart and bicycles. I do hope to return again in the not too distant future

Great comfortable home

Fern Cottage is a great comfortable and well appointed property situated in a nice quiet location on the island within easy reach of the beach. Everything we needed was provided and Gill the owner and the management company she uses were all extremely helpful and accommodating. The pool was great, being large enough for a nice swim with shade afforded at all times of the day by the covered area and the surrounding trees. Little touches like the fridge down in the pool and BBQ area make a holiday so much more enjoyable. As for AMI - our fourth trip and without doubt we will go back for a fifth as we love it. Lovely and peaceful, great restaurants and bars and within striking distance of shopping malls and theme parks if you want them. And on this trip, a manatee swimming past us on day one in the sea within touching distance. Thank you very much.

OMG - PARADISE !!!

Thanks Gill for an amazing stay at your beautiful home. The house had every conceivable mod con. The stroll to the beach only 5 mins away. We are a well travelled family of 5 and I have to admit that the beaches on AMI are easily the best I've ever visited. We had tickets to Busch Gardens and planned to drive to Tampa on one of the days - but everyone (incl kids 18, 15 and 11) didn't want to leave the island. The north end is very quite (and so relaxing) everything closes by 10.30pm - so won't suit some people, but for us it was perfect. Lazy mornings by the pool - bike rides to Pine avenue (4 bikes) for lunch and the to beach for the afternoon to watch the amazing sunsets, drinking cold glasses of wine from the cooler and raising a toast as the sun set. Some very good restaurants nearby for dinner. Absolutely wonderful. We walked to the beach some mornings too to watch the sun rise. At this location it's easy to see sunrise and sunset. We also did a turtle watch walk one morning and discovered a turtle nest at bean point which was verified (saw the eggs) and we adopted the nest. The wildlife was amazing - so many birds, Dolphins, tarpons and manatees. Such a wonderful holiday. 705 felt like a home and I will definitely be going back again. Communication with the owner (Gill) was so easy and any questions we had were answered immediately - Gill thanks again - you're home and Anna Maria Island are wonderful - R

Each time we come we buy something new, fall 2023, a refrigerator with easy to use icemaker, queen bedroom completely changed with great furniture from Pink Pineapple and linens from the White Egret as well as replacement cushions and pillows on the outside furniture. Fully upgraded master ensuite.

We visit the house for at least 2 months (April and October), we can then ensure that we offer a high standard of accommodation for all of our guests.
