Apartment Painter is a comfortable one big double bedroom with extra single bed and a smaller connected single bedroom well-furnished providing spacious accommodation for up to 3 people or even 4 guests but please check first the beds location on our photo galery . Being on the third floor of an attractive and historic building with 2 lifts, the apartment has stunning side views across the River Danube . The apartment building was one of Palatinus' palaces in the second rich Jewish quarter , where old-time cafes and local restaurants bustle with local diners.

The apartment is quiet and central, with original features including enormous double doors, high ceilings, a traditional ceramic stove for heating and a big, sunny window giving a panoramic river view. Close to public transport links, cafes and restaurants, Painter is a great place to stay and enjoy the real Budapest .

All these questions which too personal to discuss in bigger group . We see on the way all monuments like Parliament , Castle hill , Shoeses , Great Market , St Stephen Basilica , Opera , Jewish quarter , old bath houses . I am felxible how many hours and what time start ..

I do also tours by train , boat to the art village , into the Danube bend , to the most romantic 1000 yo village in Hungary called Szentendre where must to have langos , turos palacsinta , kurtos kalacs and all these in a grandma garden ..

What else I also do panoramic hiking tours over Danube bend . One of them called Spartacus osveny , it is flat excursion with hilltop amazing villages like Pilisszentlaszlo , Visegrad , great views to the bend ending in a forrest restaurant or a late grill lunch in the sandy river beach with the best 360 panoramic views in the bend .. travel by boat , trains , local buses ...

City tour and Szentendre village or Hiking over the bend is
80 euro / person plus few euros travel tickets ..

As I was learning to cook in high school and love cooking since that I like to introduce myself and Jozsef my best friend from village to invitate you for a home made dinner with our stories , hungarian music and the spirit of entering into local peoples life ... ask for menu options ........more than a home restaurant

A taste of Hungary

I love these old apartments where you get to live like you're a Hungarian with a 100 years of history behind you. Lots of cafes for breakfast with 2 mins, plus an excellent restaurant, trams within 2 mins. The city has a great tram and tube network, use the go budapest app to get a 72 hour run around ticket. Margaret bridge within two minutes great for an evening stroll. Hosts are really helpful and will personally meet you which is nice. Overall a great stay.

Super apartment, convenient location in lovely residential area

If you want an apartment that is neat and tidy, conveniently located with access to the wonderful and easy to use public transport, in an area of the city that gives the visitor a small taste of living the Hungarian way, then this is the place for you. Situated just off a lovely tree-lined residential street with a range of authentic shops and family run restaurants, this apartment is away from the main noisy tourist areas of downtown Pest in the Old Jewish Quarter. Less than a 5 minute walk to the main trams (and great coffee shops on the way), this apartment is an ideal spot for those that appreciate the "quieter" night-life and the "residential vibe" of a local area. This is a typically small but light, 2-room plus separate kitchen and bathroom apartment located on the 6th floor of an historic building. The apartment was immaculate, it is light and airy, secure, has lift access, air-conditioning and came with all the homely facilities to make for a comfortable stay and to simply relax after a full day of exploring the city. If like me you hadn't previously had time to buff up on the city highlights and sights, there was a bunch of tourist information to peruse so we could plan for our next day’s activities. It's close to Margrit bridge you can hop over to Buda on the 4 or 6 tram or take the these or the 2 tram directly to Parliament and downtown Pest or simply walk around the corner and enjoy the local cafes/restaurants and small shops or over to the island for a stroll. Our hosts - Janos and Joseph - couldn't do enough to give us best advice and recommendations about their favourite aspects of the city and other places outside of the Budapest. Both are genuinely friendly and helpful with no request too difficult. Through them we arranged a smooth and simple transfer to/from the airport, were met and given a friendly briefing about the area, sights, local facilities and best transport options for our stay. It was a delight to deal with hosts who are passionate about what they do, their city and in ensuring their guests have the best stay. It was a comfortable home-away-from-home experience and we left feeling we had made life-long friends. I’d highly recommend this apartment for those that don’t want to be caught up in the larger than life downtown Pest but want the convenience, accessibility and "local" lifestyle - a real little jewel in a beautiful city.

A lot of warmth on cold days

We came to Budapest prior to a river cruise. We flew in at nearly midnight and were met with a driver who took us to the vrbo where Janos and Jozsef had taken care of every detail! The room was warm and inviting. It was clean and well stocked. They gave us so many wonderful recommendations and help throughout our entire stay. They made sure that we had a driver who brought us to the room and taxis when we needed it. They recommended restaurants to eat at and places to go while considering our budget and interests. They were thoughtful and attentive, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. It was wonderful to see their pride in their country, as well as desire to make our experience one not soon forgotten. I highly recommend staying here!

Within 2 mins walk to the Danube and 4 mins walk to a major tram route. In a historic district that is very walkable. The apartment has pleasant historic character with minor inconvenience (bathroom door a little hard to close). Excellent for a long stay. You'll appreciate the neighborhood.

I like to offer a great option to see and learn Budapest daily life and see the sights .
I lived my all life in Budapest also I became a daily biker 20 years ago which means know every small secret corners where artist or students get together for a coffee , wine or limonade .
I would like to write just shortly about my city or village tours which can be by train or walk / public transport or these combination as you choose .
The city tour can be half day or full day . I never learned to guide but love my city and I was always curious about history and people and I always ask about people life so if you like to see this city through a local person eye , that is me .
Every tour I do I share my life and a small part of my soul so I happy to wait the right small group of travellers .

The village tour to Szentendre the art village can be by train or boat or these combination . This is a romantic village in Hungary with art , cafes , 300 yo houses .
Also I can show 3 beautiful places in 1 day Esztergom first capital of Hungary than Visegrad at Danube bend and Szentendre . The half day is about 4- 5 hours long and 116 euros and the full day is 156 Euros (around 8 hours ) for 1-5 person .
