1 double bed flat with sofa bed to sleep 2/3 near Hyde Park

Self-contained flat situated on lower ground floor of large 1840 house listed of historic interest in beautiful private garden square in fashionable South Kensington in central London. 2 mins from Gloucester Road Underground station (three tube lines) and walking distance from many restaurants and boutiques in Chelsea (including the famous King's Road) and Kensington (10 mins from Kensington Palace and Gardens). Harrods and museums are less than 15 mins walk and Notting Hill is 20 mins walk. Small supermarkets just round the corner. Bus stop just two minutes away-frequent buses to parts of central London. Large sitting room with sofa-bed, TV and open-plan kitchen with double oven & washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of saucepans etc. Internet access. Newly refurbished bathroom with bath/shower over the bath. Please note there is a minimum of one

week except to fill a gap or at the last minute. . For 2 or 3 only. Price per week : £725 including laundry and final clean. No smoking. The flat is quite spacious and quiet, in a really good location. We would describe it as "homely" rather than "state of the art" but we are pleased to have many repeat guests. Location was awesome! The flat was exactly as advertised! Perfect for our needs and the kitchen was well stocked . Jeannie made us feel like we were family- she was so helpful and responsive. We will definitely use this flat if we return to London and can recommend without any reservation!

Everything I hoped for

From the minute we spoke on phone to her help with our bags and explaining everything, Jeaniie was wonderful. The flat was lovely, cozy and warm and nicely equipped. Made our say so pleasant. Will be back for sure

Comfortable flat in a quiet but convenient location

My husband, son and I had a great time staying in the flat during our time in London. The place is very comfortable and fitted with everything we need. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans and plenty of plates and utensils. The place is very close to the Gloucester Road underground tube and to grocery store. It is also a short walk to South Kensington station and the museum areas.

For eating around the area, there are plenty of restaurants and pubs (Stanhope Pub was one of our favorite).

The host was also very helpful and answered our emails immediately. We will definitely consider renting it again if we ever go back to London.

We Loved This Unit

My wife and I stayed in this basement flat for nine nights in September 2017. We loved everything about it. The owner, who lives upstairs, is so very helpful and provides detailed information, including how to find the flat from the underground station, which is only a three minute walk away (Gloucester Road Station in Kensington/Chelsea). The flat is quite roomy for two and has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need . There is a drying rack for laundry (there is a washing machine in the unit which spin dries but overnight drying on rack is necessary). Loads of storage including two chest of drawers and very ample closet space with lots of hangers. There are several restaurants and a convenience store (Tesco Express) and grocery store (Waitrose) within a one to three minute walk; as you get off the tube you can visit either on your way back to the flat. The apartment has a bookshelf of tourist guides and maps that were helpful to us. We were pleased at how quiet it was at night, despite being in the city.

Location is wonderful!

There are a lot of positive reviews for this property and there's a reason for that. That reason is the location. It's a couple of hundred yards from the Gloucester Rd. tube station (Zone 1 - on the Piccadilly line which goes to/from Heathrow), multiple grocery stores, several restaurants, a couple of pubs, coffee spots...you name it. London is a lovely city and this neighborhood is fantastic.

The flat itself is fine. If you're in town as a tourist it's going to do you just fine. It has what you need in wifi, a comfortable bed, and a surprisingly ample space. There are some downsides to be sure. First, if you're tall you'll have some issues. I'm 6'4" and had to hunch over in the shower and hit my head on numerous doorways. The ceiling is exactly 6'4" in the bathroom. The bedroom is a bit weird in the fact that it's long and the bed blocks the door from opening all of the way. The furniture and the flat itself could use updating as well. All of that said the value is tremendous and I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

The communication was always fast and the host allowed us an early check-in which really helped us enjoy our first day.
