The Location.

A former Victorian Granary and Railway Warehouse, The converted property offers the perfect retreat for large Family/friends and smaller Corporate groups.

Located on the edge of Burton Agnes Village, set in approx 2 acres, framed by the Burton Agnes Estate.

A superb base for enjoying the East and North Yorkshire Coastline, exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds or to simply to relax and enjoy the country setting.

The light and airy dining room easily seats 14 with enough room to dance.

Its High ceiling displays the original beams and grain hatch detail, and oak spiral staircase leads to.

The Lounge, spans the upper floor of the original Granary, provides comfortable seating for 14.

large flat screen TV with sky full sky package. 5 spacious suites/bedrooms all with seating area and flat screen TV with free view. Wi Fi available in cetains areas of the house.

Enjoy the outdoor dining room and hot tub within the courtyard.

Burton Agnes Station.: The house originally formed part of Burton Agnes Station The Tallest section of the property was the Grain Store, from where grain was loaded onto the railway carriages. Some of the original features are still apprent in the building.

The lower long building, now housing the bedrooms and bathrooms was originally the railway warehouse and workshops. The orginal beams feature in the Platinum and Britania Suites. Burton Agnes Station is no longer in service however the Bridlington to Hull two carriage, speed restricted service still passes twice an hour (peak time). Running between 6.40 am and 10.40 pm Guest should be assured the line is not accessible from the house or garden and been commented on as 'endearing rather intrusive' by our guests.

We were looking for 5 star accommodation to host our yoga retreats.

After spending a lot of time searching the web viewing various possibilities, I stumbled across this beautiful barn.

The Old Granary provides us with luxury accommodation, excellent facilities, and beautiful surroundings to host our retreat.

We now host regular Retreats at The Old Granary, Karen has been a great help and nothing is too big or small.

I cannot recommend this venue highly enough!

The Old Granary is a fantastic, modern house with a cosy feel to it. There were 15 of us on a Hen Weekend and it was very spacious - the hot tub was a particular favourite.

I would recommend the yummy Butler for a bit of entertainment and eye candy. Beauty package, waitress service, food provided and DJ were all brilliant and made the Bride's weekend very special.

I couldn't have organised all of this without the help of the lovely owner Karen who advised me every step of the way. A huge thank you to you.

A beautiful rural location, within 5 miles of the coast line and traditonal seaside resort of Bridlington.

Burton Agnes is no longer a working station, the nearest stations on this line are Bridlington and Nafferton.

The Blue Bell Hotel offers welcoming bars, restaurant & hotel facilities, Burton Agnes Hall has a Farm Shop selling local produce, gift shops and cafe.

Other places to visit,

Seaside resorts - Bridlington, Filey, Hornsea & Scarborough.

  • The hot tub facility is included in rental price. Small garden parties strictly by prior arrangement only - to a maximum of 30 guests. additional terms & conditions apply. Re: Elderly or infirm access: Ground floor bedrooms have to negotiate 4 steps. Lounge is accessible only via spiral staircase. We regret that as from 10th January 2011 we can no longer accept pets and the external games room facility has been withdrawn and removed from our adverts. Ladies/Gentlemen weekends and breaks welcome please mention when booking. Wi Fi access is restricted to the living area due to the nature of the building and thickness of the internal wall. The Owners cannot be responsible for guest devices not being able to connect this facility. This service is complementary.
