Built in 2002, our family owned apartment is located in a quiet part of the village yet is only 2-3 minutes walk to all the village amenities. It is comfortably furnished & well equipped for 4/5 people, including a travel cot & high chair. The spacious living/dining room leads out to the large south west facing balcony furnished with chairs, table & parasol from which to enjoy the amazing mountain views & 'al-fresco' meals. The kitchen area has a dish-washer, oven, hob, fridge/freezer & microwave.

The apartment sleeps 4/5, having one double room with a king sized bed, a smaller room with two singles and a single sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom has a shower, vanity unit & washing machine whilst a separate w.c. has a hand basin.

There is ample parking around the property & we have a lockable ski store in the basement.

The bus stop for the Grand Massif Express is a 3 min walk, accessing 265kms of piste suitable for all standards.

Our change over days are Saturday or Sunday depending on availability. In the Summer the change over day is Saturday and in the Spring and Autumn it is flexible.

The weather has been fantastic often reaching 30C and interspersed with the odd spectacular storm. We've had an amazing two weeks of activities:- white water rafting, via ferrata and loads of mountain biking (including part of the Tour de France which came through the area during our stay). We are also going to try our hands at canyoning before we leave.

Having stayed in Samoens during the Winter I can now say it is at least as good in the summertime----a great place!

Exactly as described, and perfect for a family of four....

Perfect location to walk into the lovely town of Samoens, and we drove so 5 mins to the ski-lift making life very easy!

The apartment was very clean, and warm, in fact we hardly used any heating at all whilst we were there.

Ideally located apartment

Lovely clean apartment in a great location

We enjoyed our ski weekend in Samoens. The apartment was great only a short drive (or bus trip) to the bottom of the ski lift and right next to the market place in Samoens. The ski area was brilliant and the village beautiful. And all this only an hours drive from Geneva. We will be back. Thank you Jean.

Another amazing week

This was our second stay in the apartment and, although very different from last year (20 degrees and wonderful sunshine the entire week), we enjoyed another amazing week. The apartment was very clean upon arrival. The weather was quite cold, so we needed the winter duvets and storage heaters, which worked well and ensured we never felt chilly. We cooked in the apartment more than last year and found the kitchen very well stocked. The snow was fantastic and, as per last year, the ski hire at Xtreme Glisses was just so easy with simple parking at the bottom of the ski lifts and hardly any queuing at all. The village of Samoens is so pretty and, with the apartment being only a minute's walk away from the central square, it meant that early morning trips to the boulangerie were an easy trip.

Top Notch accommodation in an ideal location

The accommodation is a good size, well appointed and very well equipped. We arrived early, the apartment was not ready but the cleaner, a nice chap, allowed us to leave our bags. The description of the property is accurate and the customer service by the owners was excellent. The location is ideal being 2 mins walk to the land train and very close to the centre of the village. In summary a warm homely apartment that could not command a better position.

Fabulous week!

What a wonderful week! The apartment was just as described - well located (2 min walk from the lovely village centre), very clean, well stocked, with great views from both balconies and certainly spacious enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. It was very easy to park our hire car outside the apartment as well as at the bottom of the ski lift. Jean was very helpful with details before we arrived, so ensured we had a blissful week! Thank you.

We first fell in love with Samoens on a family ski holiday in 2005 and spent the next year hunting for an ideal property. Since buying the apartment in 2006 we have been returning to Samoens about 4 times a year and never tire of its charms. Although originally purchased as a ski base we have been bowled over by the beauty of the area for Summer activity holidays.

Samoens is an attractive, historic, former stone-masons village with plenty to see & do all the year round. Our apartment is only 2-3 minutes walk to the shops, restaurants, cinema, ice-rink etc yet is in a quiet area of the village. The Grand Massif Express ski lift is just 900m away or 5 mins in the free ski bus which stops 50m from the apartment. The Grand Massif consists of 5 linked areas totaling 265km of piste suitable for all levels of skiers & boarders.

The summer abounds with almost every activity you can think of, parapenting, rafting, mountain biking, hiking and swimming to name but a few. A large park, on the village outskirts, offers putting, archery, golf driving range, tennis & open air swimming pools. The Indiana Parc here is a great climbing, swinging and zip-wire activity for the young & 'young at heart'.

Day outings to Chamonix, Annecy, Lake Geneva and trips into Switzerland and Italy are easily possible & the weekly market at Samoens is a 'must'.

Other Activities include snow shoeing, nordic skiing, snow boarding, dog slsigh rides, ice skating, guided walks and much more.

Please note for stays of less than one week the rental price will differ from the online price visible. £80 per person per week is added for persons using the sofa bed, to cover the extra laundry charges.
The rental rate includes final cleaning, local taxes and linen service (i.e. beds made up prior to arrival) but excludes towels.

We can advise on airport transfers and also arrange for a welcome pack to be in the apartment ready for your arrival. (35 euros).

From the Owner

We chose this apartment for its convenience to the village centre and its spacious feel inside. We love the large West facing balcony with its view down the Giffre Valley and beautiful sunsets and in the Summer our smaller balcony, which faces East, is a lovely sunny spot for breakfast or a coffee.
