Your 6,600 sq-ft gated luxury mountainside villa is located on 2.5 acres on South Mtn. Breathtaking 360 city and mountain views. At the end of a quiet road, this is your retreat. Whether for holidays, snowbirds, celebrating, recharging, working, golfing, spectating or adventuring, your villa is the serene luxury destination from which to launch your Phoenix visit. Couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families and groups up to 10 are welcome. Massage, Chef, Maid - available. 15 min to downtown.

Nestled in the less populated and less known foothills of South Mountain, our home provides our guests with superior and stunning panoramic views in every direction.

Whether you choose to watch a movie in the family room, read a book by the fireplace in the living room, be a culinary genius in the gourmet kitchen or frolic in the backyard, you'll be doing it all while taking in the views.

Grab your tennies, mountain bike, road bike or horse and take advantage of the mountains right outside your door! At more than 16,000 acres, South Mountain Park/Preserve is one of the largest municipally operated parks in the country. It boasts 51 miles of primary trails for horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking for all ability levels. Jack really likes to take his road bike up the paved park roads to the "TV Towers". During Thanksgiving, he calls that ride, his "earn the bird" ride! Our daughters really like hiking to Fat Man's Pass. It's a rock pass which is a little bit of a squeeze for some of us. Horse rentals are available within the park.

Upstairs Spaces:

Master Bedroom: Your 600 sq-ft private sleeping and pampering paradise. King Sleep Number Bed with foam topper. Includes a very large walk-in closet, two dressers, two large mirrors. The bathroom has your his and hers sinks and a sitting area for make-up and make-up mirror. Large soaking tub with...you guessed it...more great mountain views. The shower is a couples walk-in shell shower. Two separate shower heads, a rain shower and body sprays.

Bedroom 1 (Mountain Views): ~250 sq-ft. Queen bed with foam mattress topper. Private bathroom and walk-in closet. Windows face South Mountain. The view from this room is good, but is centrally hindered by the home's front entrance turret. The room has a private bathroom with a cast iron tub and shower combination.

Bedroom 2 (Airport): ~160 sq-ft. We love this room. It has a western view of a residential airport about a mile away. You can catch great views of private Cessnas and bi-planes landing/taking-off on occasion from this room. This is a relatively quiet and serene air strip. Not anything like living next to an international airport with jets. This room has a queen bed and a walk-in closet. The bathroom is a jack and jill and shares with Bedroom 3. There are 2 sinks in the common bathroom area. The tub is cast iron and a bath and shower combination.

Bedroom 3 (City Lights): ~165 sq-ft. Similar to the Master bedroom, this bedroom has stunning panoramic views of the metro Phoenix cities. See if you can find city landmarks like the Cardinals stadium to the west or the Diamondback stadium to the north. Queen bed with foam topper. Standard sliding door closet. Jack and Jill bathroom as explained above for Bedroom 2.

Bedroom 4 (Guest Bedroom): This bedroom is downstairs and was designed to be a guest bedroom. Private bathroom. Sliding door closet.

Other spaces within the home:

Family Room - with a sectional leather sofa. So comfy to watch a show on TV while also taking in the views through the large picture windows in the room.

Living Room - a comfortable sitting space with a couch and two leather reclining chairs next to the fireplace. A perfect space for talking, reading or simply relaxing.

Dining Room - Seats 8 adults comfortably

Kitchen - For those with a passion to cook, whether your staying over holidays and preparing the holiday feast or hosting a small get together, you'll be in your element in this kitchen. The family dining table in the breakfast area of the kitchen can accommodate up to 8 people. 6 comfortably. If you put both expansion leafs in the table for 8 people, the space may become crowded depending upon number of adults and children.

Office - 2 desks in a dedicated room off the Living Room.

About The Owner

Jack and I are both working professionals. We built this villa as our dream home in 2006. We love it but had to move in 2016. So, instead of letting it go, we decided to keep it in the family and turn it into a simple business. We care about sharing it with people who will enjoy it and treat it properly.

Our goal is to earn a 5-star review from every guest and to earn our guest's next visit.

We designed and were very involved with this villa's construction. It's a treasure. A unique location with incredible views and privacy. Everyone just can't believe it when they arrive. A testament...building contractors of all trades when onsite, always comment that of all the homes they've seen, none compare to the views and planned layout. We don't even ask...they just tell us. So, if the folks that build them are amazed...you're sure to be too!

Wedding stay

We had an excellent stay. We were there for my daughter’s wedding. We had ten people staying at the house. There was more then enough room for everyone The kitchen was well equipped and very spacious. We loved sitting outside in the morning and evening enjoying the beautiful view. Jack respond quickly when we had questions or needs. The beds were very comfortable. Only suggestion would be to have some extra blankets and towels available. We did get extra towels from Jack but felt bad he had to make a trip to house. I was glad I got to meet him. If I come to Phoenix again with a group I will stay here.

The pictures of the house really does not do the house justice. The house is beautiful beyond anyone's dreams. The owners were awesome to communicate with and answered all questions really well. The house had everything that we would need and more. The beds are awesome. We all want to come back at different times with our kids. Would recommend to everyone. The owner gave us recommendations on places to eat that were great also. Highly recommend.

Fantastic View

Our Party of 9 really enjoyed ourselves in this house. Nice family room and TV room although we found ourselves gathering in the well appointed kitchen or back porch when the sun went down most of the time. The real star of this home is the view. Surrounded by saguaro cactuses, we could see the stadium in Glendale to our far left, downtown Phoenix straight ahead, and the jets landing at the airport off to the right. Even though we were there in May, there was a firework show off in the distance every night. The bedrooms were all large (no converted closets here) and all the beds were larger (Queen or bigger). No complaints from anybody that the beds were uncomfortable. 4 bedrooms upstairs and 1 downstairs. The only quirky thing about the layout is there is no half bath downstairs. You had to enter the downstairs bedroom to use the bathroom on the first floor. There were several locked doors so maybe one of them was the half bath downstairs and its being remodeled or something. It was no big deal for us - might be if elderly guests stayed there.

Jack was great to work with. Answered all our questions promptly. I am a VRBO veteran that appreciated that there were no upcharges like $25 for propane tank usage even if you use the grill once to cook hotdogs. Some owners do that but Jack doesn't. He even had an extra propane tank in the garage if we needed it. Its these small things that make renters return.

Even though you seem like you are far outside the city in the middle of the desert surrounded by cactus, its really just a 20 - 25 minute drive to downtown, ASU campus, and airport. Maybe 35 minutes to where the Cardinals play.

Jack said immediately after our stay, he was installing ceiling fans everywhere. A touch that will help when the thermometer rises. But know that the house's AC units kept it comfortable the whole time. There seemed to be some other upgrades in process because many of the rooms had wires sticking out of the ceiling for things TBD. Its nice that Jack and Michelle think of their guest comfort and are doing these improvements that probably would go unmissed by most.

I would definitely stay there again.

Total Serenity

First and foremost, thank you Jack & Michelle for being so accommodating. Your quick responses and willingness to ensure our stay was all we anticipated, is greatly appreciated. Now to the property, OMG! We were 5 middle aged couples who came to Phoenix to relax and play golf, and the house was large enough for all of with room to spare. If you wanted a quiet and secluded spot, it was available. I say that our favorite place in the entire house was on the patio. It was so peaceful and serine, especially in the evening with the view of the Phoenix city lights. The kitchen was second, very spacious, with room for everyone. You didn't have to worry about neighbors being to close, with stores and shops not far away. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

Everything & More

Our stay in South Mountain was everything the owners promised & more. A beautiful home with plenty of room for everyone, everything was new/clean & we loved the fresh air and views all around. The owner (Jack) checked in via text message every couple days to make sure we were taken care of. At one point, he even dropped something off at the front door that he thought we needed. Above and beyond our expectations...

The only potential "negative" to this property was it's relatively isolated location. Most days it took our family 30 minutes to get where we wanted to go (zoo, theater, dinner downtown, ball games, etc.) But that "negative" we also viewed very positive because it gave us a place to disconnect and simply enjoy the beauty of the home. We spent more time inside this rental than others we've enjoyed in the past. Simply know this home is a little ways out - for the good & bad.

Overall, we couldn't have been happier with the property, the owners and our overall experience. If this place is open on your dates, don't hesitate booking it. Thank you Michelle & Jack.

We couldn't have picked a better house for our 40th birthday girls trip. The house was beautiful, spacious, clean and has the most amazing views! The owners have thought of everything you might need during your stay. Loved, loved, loved it! Did not want to leave.
