ZERO STARS - Loud barking dog, piece of food left on floor, management not helpful

WE WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. We arrived at the unit and were perplexed to hear a loud barking dog on the floor immediately above us. We could hear its every movement across the floor and it did not stop barking for long stretches. It was obvious that this was not going to be an isolated incident but rather something that likely would be going on for our entire stay. We contacted the management company right away and although they initially represented that they would contact the upstairs occupant to take care of the problem, nothing appeared to be done to rectify the problem as the dog still was barking 45 minutes later. With 2 small children who would not be able to sleep through the noise, we made the decision to vacate the unit. The unit was not advertised as having this sort of upstairs noise, and there is NO WAY would we have rented this property had we known. (We also noticed a piece of food left in the middle of the floor by a previous occupant which made us wonder how well everything had been cleaned.) After we decided to leave the property and move to a hotel (which ended up costing us WAY more money due to having to find a place at the last minute, during spring break week when everything was sold out), we contacted management and sent them a recording of the barking dog (and a picture of the food on the floor). Not only did they refuse to do anything to accommodate us, but they were not at all sympathetic or helpful. We now are forced to try and dispute the charge for this unit through our credit card company. Had the management been at all accommodating or understanding and willing to even entertain a partial refund, we would have chalked this up to "things happen, not every location will be perfect," but given how they responded to this incident we would NEVER rent from this company (especially this unit) again.

Great condo

This condo set up was perfect for our needs for our 4 night stay. It was clean, spacious, and stocked nicely. When issues such as controlling the heat arose, Oscar responded and arrived within a few hours to fix it and was very pleasant to deal with. We really liked how quickly the entire Sonders team responded to any email or call at any hour of the day. There were a couple of snags that made me hold back 1 star- the people who were living above us had a dog and 2 kids and were very loud beginning at 4am each day, the master bed slumped in the middle and creaked very loudly (but I'm sure that's an easy fix by Sonder), the cable for the t.v. never worked but we were at least happy they provided Netflix, and the parking spot was extremely tight (minivans beware!) and accumulated a lot of water from all the rain we had then. Otherwise, there were a lot of conveniences of home and we enjoyed our stay overall.

Great large clean apartment in wonderful location

Just as pictures show! Clean, freshly updated, large, open floor plan and well appointed. Professionally run and easy to,access! Great location with lots of good restaurants, shops and entertainment within walking distance which is rare in LA! The only complaint I had that the walls and ceiling are not noise insulated and you could hear the children upstairs. And unfortunately there was a lot of rain when we were there and the HUGE puddle in the parking lot made it difficult to get in the car. Also you access the apartment from the back not the front door. Overall I would recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again!
