About the property


89 Carroll St is within walking distance of Dunedin City Centre (10 mins), lots to see and do. The place is spacious, well furnished, quiet, handy location. It's great for couples, business travelers, international students, families or groups.

Free High speed Giganet internet service (NZ fastest Internet service).

We love Dunedin for its old-world architecture, and the creative vibe produced by so many local artists and crafts people. Plenty of galleries here for the size of the place! Its a gem set in a fantastic green and blue landscape of hills and ocean!

The Space

The apartment is over two floors. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, each with its own ensuite. The third bedroom is downstairs, with the main bathroom and laundry (including washing machine and dryer), and open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen areas. Entry is on the ground floor, with a front veranda and an entertainment area with table and chairs.

The Neighbourhood

Generally plenty of street parking, with diagonal parking outside the apartment. Lots of cafes (and hotels with restaurants) on the route towards the city, many open at 7.00am for breakfast. There are a number of commercial art galleries this end of town, plus the DunedinPublic Art Gallery is quite close, on The Octagon. Although the cafes and city centre are quite close, if you don't wish to walk all the way it is usually possible to drive a bit closer and park - either on free restricted-time parking, metre parking, or multi-storey council parking.

There are two nearby supermarkets in town (slightly too far to walk) and another this end of town on Anderson's Bay Road.

Of course there are plenty of other eating places in town.

The regional outlet for tourist information ''I-site'' can be found on The Octagon next to the Town Hall, where you can book trips, or find information. There are, for example, regular scenic boat trips up the harbour, or scenic train trips to Taieri Gorge (takes a couple of hours) from Dunedin Railway Station.

Other Things to Note

Cleaning Fee - we have included a one-off (per stay) cleaning fee of $45.00 to cover our costs. This will be in addition to the daily rate shown, because if we included it, the fee would apply to every night's stay. If you stay for 2 nights, a week, or 6 weeks, there will only be one cleaning fee.

Beautiful mid-century home close to city center

We loved our stay in this house. I was very spacious... 3 full bedrooms, but we choose to stay in the upstairs bedrooms because they both had an ensuite. Beds were comfy. Kitchen and bathrooms were updated. Large picture windows. Quiet. Kind of good views...you're in a semi-industrial area, although close to city center, you wouldn't want to hang around the area. But you can see the water from the window and at night, specifically, was nice. I would recommend staying here if you want to be close to town center or need a nice place to lay your head at night after touring around.
