SeaBreeze House is located on Whale Close of the exclusive Wilderness Garden Estate. This 5 star detached house is an experience in its-self. The property is located in a prime position on the beach front of the development with access to the beach via a security gated stairway located next to the house. The development boasts roughly 45 exclusive homes and has 24 hour manned security.

The property is furnished to a high standard throughout in an African style. Comprising an entrance hallway with guest w/c on the first floor (entrance level), main lounge, second lounge, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen with large pantry all on the second floor. There are four spacious bedrooms and all are en-suite and have private balcony's. The master suite is located on the second floor and the second, third and fourth bedrooms are located on the first floor. To the front elevation is a large driveway with ample parking for 2/3 cars and a large garage situated on the ground floor underneath the property. Vast, mature gardens and decked terraces surround the house and and offer a fantastic space to relax and dine outdoors. To the rear elevation overlooking the sea is a stunning and well maintained infinity pool and access to the beach from the side of the house.

Design: Built in an African style with a modern nuance the house radiates harmony with its surroundings. Travertine flooring throughout, marble, colorful drystone walling and thatched roofs with exposed beams create a warm yet rustic feel, while large aluminum windows and sliding doors emphasize the property's openness inviting sunlight into the large room layouts. This African feel is further exclaimed through superb interior decorating and soft furnishings, including paintings and carvings of the big 5. Lighting emphasizing the pine wooden beams and 'kaapse riet' used in making the thatched roof provides a well rounded effect of warmth and class. Rare Wenza wood is used throughout the house and for winter times a log burning stove provides for ultimate comfort and atmosphere.

To see: The house is built on a large dune on the beach front of the South Coast and offers panoramic views from every angle. It is fully equipped with decks and balconies to make sightseeing more accessible. Sights include whale watching in winter months, the Outeniqua Mountains, vast Wilderness lakes and the beach front. At night Mosselbay's city lights can be clearly seen. It is not only the sights, but also the smell and sound of the sea which makes the experience all the more special. Wilderness also has extremely clear skies and is accordingly perfect for stargazing. The villa is also built in the midst of Melkhout trees which is a protected tree species. Emphasis was placed on the preservation of these trees during the erection of the building because it forms the habitat of several bird and mammal species, including the well renowned Knysna Loerie and small 'dyke'.

Wilderness Garden Estate: Positioned in the far corner of 'Whale Close' the house forms part of the much sought after Wilderness Garden Estate. The Estate was built in an aim to provide luxurious housing in a safe environment for overseas as well as South African residents. Emphasis was placed on leaving the surroundings in a natural state to protect natural vegetation, surrounding dunes and wildlife. Its sought after status was emphasized when it was featured on the South African glamor and entertainment show, Top Billing. Because of the surrounding vegetation and hedges a wholly secluded and safe atmosphere is created.

Safety is always an important question. Wilderness Garden Estate is a privately owned estate with approximately 45 executive homes. The entrance to the estate is gated and manned by 24 hour security personnel. Also, as an additional precaution, the house is alarmed internally & externally and linked to a security company which monitors the alarm and provide armed response if need be.

Great Property wish we had stayed longer!

This is a fantastic property in a stunning location. Everything was superb and we had no issues.

Moira who meets you on arrival and departure is most helpful. The description in the listing was accurate but only when you get there and experience does it give it justice! It is clean and well maintained.

Wilderness is a quirky little town with some excellent small restaurants in its centre. The beach is fabulous for a stroll along and then a light lunch in the village!

The award winning restaurant "serendipity" is a short distance away but is normally fully booked as we found out (12 days in advance) so I would recommend booking prior to arrival at the resort.

I would recommend this property to stay in and would love to return one day!

Wilderness is renowned as much for its natural beauty, vast stretches of beach, tranquillity and calm seas, as it is for its tradition of hospitality - which began as far back as the late 1800’s, when the first stone farmhouse was converted into a seaside boarding house.

Although the village centre lies just 15km east of George, the area known as Wilderness stretches from the Kaaimans River to the borders of the Goukamma Nature Reserve. It is the only village in the country that can boast its own National Park, for the 2 500 hectare Wilderness National Park lies within its boundaries. With five rivers, five lakes and 19km of beach, this sensitive Eco-system creates a wetland of international importance.

Bird watching is a rare and unique experience, for here is a tapestry of interwoven wetlands, forests, mountains, beaches, open fields and fynbos that provide habitat for nearly 200 species.

A 90 day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than 90 days prior to the arrival date will incur a 10% penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made between:

• 89 days and 60 days - 25% penalty
• 59 days and 30 days - 50% penalty
• 29 days and 7 days - 75% penalty
• 6 days or less - forfeit of full payment

BOOKING PROCESS

1) 20% due within 5 days to secure the dates while we hold the booking as tentative for you
2) 40% due 90 days before your stay with us
3) Final 40% due 30 days before your stay with us

PLEASE NOTE: A £250.00 damages deposit is required a minimum of 14 days before your stay. Providing there are no damages this will be refunded in full within 14 days of departure.
