Nice house, exactly what it says in the description.

The house was very good. Clean and relatively new. Good location. Nick the owner was very helpful and responded immediately to my emails.

We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for this type of accommodation.

Great home, great location!

  • 5 of 5

Really wonderful place to stay in one of the true Toronto neighborhoods. The house was elegant, clean and in a wonderful, off the beaten path location. The owners were attentive and accommodating throughout the visit. Really appreciated the lovely, modern kitchen and outdoor area and grill so we could take advantage of the many local markets and cook wonderful meals. the neighborhood provides great access to Leslieville and other locations as well as public transportation. Would highly recommend the meat market at the corner as well as the guys at Radical Road brewery nearby who know beer and also gave a great overview of the neighborhood. Was here with a group of 7 and the place and house provided a great place to stay as well as many options for us all to enjoy within walking distance - shops, food, beer, and coffee houses. thank you, Nick and Nena, for a wonderful stay!

Nice and modern but lots of stairs.

  • 3 of 5

The house is quite nicely situated and modern but just know there are a lot of stairs so if you have bad knees this may not be the best place for you. While set at "an acceptable range" we weren't too happy with not being able to control the heat or air as we were frequently too hot or too cold (especially downstairs in the TV room) There are no shelves in the showers so you have to put your soap and shampoo on the floor which is not too convenient for those with back issues. Also no place to hang your towel or clothing in the bathrooms. The beds are very firm and pillows are hard so bring your own pillow if you are particular. There is one kitchen towel and one serving bowl. The back courtyard was nice for dinner but there was only one exterior light working and don't leave the door open in the evening as the house will quickly be inundated with gnats (no screen door). We ran out of propane in the middle of cooking dinner one night and while the owner brought another tank a couple days later we had to finish cooking our dinner in the oven. There are cute raccoons around and about but be careful when you take the trash out as there was one in the trash can that scared the daylights out of our niece. Also we were told to be quiet and respectful of the neighbors but they were the ones out on the sidewalk talking really loud at 2am. Also the shower on the second floor had a leak and was dripping in the kitchen.

Owner's Response: We are saddened by this review. Firstly, we strive to make sure all of our guests enjoy not only the space we provide but have fun in our great city. Beyond offering a luxury rental property, we offer advice, links etc. on where to eat and what to visit etc., and are always available to answer questions. It appears as though this guest was not entirely satisfied. And for that we sincerely apologize if we somehow fell short. We are always at the service of our guests and can address all issues, small and large. And we always do. However, we are somewhat miffed and are also saddened in this review as it lists some inaccuracies. First and foremost the house is a city semi with 2000 sq.ft. It is a vertical home similar to the majority of inner city homes. Its spacious and well appointed. It was renovated last year and is a high tech home. For instance, the house is equipped with a smart thermostat. Although it is set to either cool or warm up when required (yes it can toggle between ac/heat without manual intervention) as there are multiple sensors inside the home, we provide a code to all guests to override and adjust as needed. We did that same for this guest. We also provide the wifi code, the door code and the thermostat code...why wouldn't we provide a thermostat code? The guest appeared to have some difficulty converting Fahrenheit to Celsius and we therefore offered to adjust remotely. We were simply trying to be helpful. The propane tank was filled the day before guest arrival (by the owner). We later determined that the guest did not shut of tank during initial use and this was the cause for the propane running out. Nevertheless as soon as we were advised in the evening we dropped off a brand new tank the next morning (not a few days later). The shower leak while minimal was a result of guests showering with shower door open. We have made some changes since to rectify this, in the unlikely even that a future guest decides to shower with door ajar. Our house rules are not unlike other like type properties. We ask our guests to refrain from smoking inside the house and to be respectful of our immediate neighbours. This is designed to avoid parties or large gatherings and not inhibit our guests ability to enjoy the property.

Our family stayed at this lovely, spacious home during recent wedding festivities, and it was perfect for us! It's located close to parks, shops, and restaurants - all very convenient for us. The house is well-maintained with lots of space for everyone. We would definitely recommend it to others!

Comfortable stay in Leslieville

  • 5 of 5

This is a newly renovated semi-detached in Leslieville and it's a great spot. Everything's feels and looks brand new and has been done in great taste. The beds were comfortable and all our needs were met.

The location is fantastic - minutes away from the shops and restaurants of Queen East.

The owners were very attentive and responded to our inquiries within minutes. No hesitation in recommending to others.
