Nestled minutes between Hollywood and Los Feliz, this gorgeous sun-filled 1922 Spanish 1 bedroom/1 bath 1000 sq ft home featuring period details and original built-ins, hardwood floors, separate dining room, large living room, huge tub, and complete kitchen, with full access to the hedged in patio and spacious backyard is the perfect place to retreat to after a day full of sight-seeing or work.

The living room is eclectically decorated and includes a 46" flat screen TV and Roku, complete with HBO, Starz, Netflix, HuluPlus, Amazon Instant Video, PBS, Spotify, and Pandora. A book case lends itself to a variety of local guidebooks and novels to peruse, and a desk provides the perfect spot for writing postcards, or if you need to get down to business: a printer is available to fulfill your work needs. A full dining room gives you space to spread out with your work or enjoy a nice meal with friends or family.

The bedroom features a deliciously comfortable queen size bed decked out in high-thread count linens and hypo-allergenic pillows and comforter, closet with hangers, luggage rack, and a suite of drawers to store your clothes. If a second bed is needed, the living room couch folds out to provide a delightful 2nd queen sized bed, complete with linens. You'll also find extra USB chords in the side table drawers in case you forget yours, and an international adapter if you're traveling from abroad.

Save some money by cooking at home in a cozy but spacious kitchen fully stocked with a complimentary bottle of wine, spices, tea, coffee, condiments, breakfast foods, utensils, pots and pans, blender, dishes and glassware. Cleaning up is easy with the full sized dishwasher. Off the kitchen is the laundry room complete with brand new HE washer and dryer (including steam dry), ironing board and iron.

The bathroom features original 1920's built-ins, brand new windows and a 4-mode shower head with great water pressure. Alternatively, the large bathtub is just waiting for you to relax in a deep soak. We provide complimentary toiletries and all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel. This is your place to unwind.

While inside you'll stay comfortable with central air and heat, the Los Angeles weather is one of the areas best attributes! Enjoy it! Outdoors you'll find picnic area complete with BBQ under a flowering pergola, sunny front patio full of succulents and rustling bamboo, and a verdant backyard with fruit trees, camellias, herbs, and more. Walk along the stone path to semi-secluded deck where you can lounge while sipping your complimentary wine.

To complete your stay, we also offer the opportunity for in-home massage, reiki treatment, or even yoga class with a private yoga instructor. (Additional fee required, subject to professional's availability.)

Beautiful home

This place was special. It was very clean. The kitchen was big with the pantry and even the refrigerator well stocked. The bathroom had alll the amenities that you needed. The backyard was a private oasis with flowering bushes and fruit trees. We celebrated Thanksgiving here and there was plenty of room. Thank you Jillian and Yael for sharing your home with us

Home away from home

Everything about this place is perfect, from the packed beachbag, the drawer with adapters, the bathrobes, the interior, the backyard patio, the location, free parking and the warm & welcoming house owners!

I really recommend this house, perfect for a relaxing holiday in a safe & quiet residential area, but still close to everything. We will comeback! 👌😀 Many Thanks !

Wonderful

This lovely duplex was a perfect blend of charm, old school character and modern amenities. The owners were attentive and set us up with perks you don't normally see in a vacation home. The parking was a breeze, location perfect and access was easy. There is outdoor space to enjoy and the ability to work. The place itself has a lot of light and is very comfortable. We loved it and will likely be repeat customers.

We had a great stay at this great place. Opted for a house on our 8 night stay to visit our son instead of a hotel and we will come back! Super clean and equipped, comfortable, helpful owners. Everything was perfect!

The place is tastefully furnished, has a vintage feel, and is comfortable and clean. Good bed & shower. Great Kitchen & helpful and responsive owners. One clarification though -- while it is a private home, it's a 2 family home & the owners live next door.

Los Feliz is one of Los Angeles most sought after neighborhoods with beautiful homes, central location, trendy restaurants and bars, while retaining a creative and artistic spirit. Settled at the base of Griffith Park, the Airbnb has easy access to the Griffith Observatory (must see!), hiking, trail running, golf, tennis, horseback riding, pony rides, and the Zoo and serves as the perfect home base for a night out at The Greek (5 minutes away by car.)

It's a mere 10 minute walk to Los Feliz Vermont Village, home to restaurants, cafes, bars (including the famous Dresden), Skylight Theatre (one of the highest acclaimed 99-seat theatres in LA), Los Feliz 3 vintage movie theater, Skylight Books, newsstand, organic juicery, wine bar, Starbucks, farmer's market, pharmacy, post office, boutiques, and Barnsdall Park. Los Feliz is also home to Alcove Cafe, Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream (one of the best in the USA), Umami Burger, restaurants of every variety, Rockwell cabaret, pilates and yoga studios, art galleries, library, liquor store, banks, and is mere minutes to trendy Silver Lake.

A 10 minute drive westward (or 1-2 stops on the metro) lands you in the heart of Hollywood, where you can snap photos of your favorite Hollywood Boulevard Star, or catch a movie at the 1920's art deco Chinese Theatre and measure up your hands against Audrey Hepburn's. The central location means easy access to Downtown, Burbank, Studio City, West Hollywood, Universal Studios, and Disneyland.

There is a designated parking spot for those who rent a car. For those who don't, the home is minutes from the nearest bus stop and a short walk to the metro. We highly recommend the apps Lyft and Uber as your best ways to get around Los Angeles without a car, as they tend to be cheaper and more friendly than taxis. This is a 100 year old home. We have taken pains to restore it, but please be aware this is not a brand new high-rise hotel. If you are looking for modernity without the warmth of age, this isn't the place for you.

We have a small (12 lb), quiet, gentle dog on the property. You may spot her laying in the sun in the front patio, but she never enters the Airbnb unit so there will be no issues with those with allergies. On the other hand, she loves children and will eagerly make friends with any little ones.

House Rules:

1. Guest picture I.D required.
2. The premises will be used exclusively as a residence for no more than four (4) persons. Only registered guests are allowed overnight stay. No parties allowed. No visiting guests past 10:00 pm. Please keep noise to a minimum.
3. Please be respectful of utilities (Lights, AC and Heat, Water) and please shut off when not in use or away from home.
4. The front gate must be kept closed at all times upon entry and exit.
5. No smoking or vaping inside or near house. No illegal drugs are allowed at any point on the property.
6. Guest will keep the premises in a clean and sanitary condition, and will immediately notify Host of any damage to the premises or its contents, or any inoperable equipment or appliances.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
