About Judith Bono

My husband Jack and I live in a very small rural community in Missouri. We love the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of small town living. We love to trout fish, garden, travel and being with family.

Why Judith Bono chose Mooresville

We built this property in 2014 with the intention of using it for storage and also a workshop. Our plans gradually changed and we decided to convert the property into a guest house for travelers. We love to meet people and our decision has been perfect.

What makes this house unique

Our guest house is quiet, peaceful and well furnished. Our kitchen is fully equipped for the person that would like to cook during their stay. A garage is available for a car or truck, even a small RV. We are close to Missouri Star Quit and also to the Amish community of Jamesport, Mo.

Location

Car: necessary

Close to Missouri Star Quilt and Amish country in Jamesport, Mo. A great area for hunters.

Nice Large House

  • 4 of 5

The house has everything you need, except there are no storage areas for clothes. Judy provided plenty of good snack food when we arrived. Pancake mix, coffee with sugar and creamer, cereal and condiments were provided too.

If you like to play golf, play at Green Hills Golf Course in nearby Chillicothe. It's a great golf course to play and the green fee is cheap.

Mooresville Guest House is like a diamond in the ruff! It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, plus many perks in the kitchen. Judy provided wonderful garden vegetables, delicious banana bread, magazines and pamphlets for local attractions including a map.

Judy is a wonderful host! We really enjoyed our stay here.

I plan to recommend her wonderful guest house to friends who plan to come to Missouri to visit the Missouri Star Quilt Company store in Hamilton as I did.

Relaxation at its best

  • 5 of 5

We chose this secluded rental because we needed to have a quiet breather. It did not disappoint in any way. Judy, our host, greeted us and thoughtfully provided us with brochures and ideas of day trips to take in the area. She was so helpful and kind - even providing us with fresh produce from her garden during our stay. The porch is just as relaxing as it looks in the pictures and the inside of the home is SO very nice. It is immaculate and I'm pretty picky when it comes to clean spaces. The kitchen has everything you could ever need for cooking. She has a small library organized along with DVDs and games. The refrigerator had cold bottled water and she had even provided some muffins, granola bars, and snacks. Those little touches are evident everywhere in the home. We would come back to this place and will definitely recommend it to our quilting friends and family as well.

Wonderfully relaxing! Super clean!

  • 5 of 5

This is truly a gem of a place to stay and Judith is a gem also. The accommodations were even more adorable than we expected. It was very clean and our host was very attentive to the little details to make our stay exceptional...she even brought us homemade apple pie and ice cream! The porch swing was a favorite place to have a glass of wine after a long day of fun. This was a first time VRBO experience for my mom and friend - this gem did not disappoint!

Makes you feel like it's your vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay! I think the only thing we would change is the amount of time we spent there which was not enough. Jack and Judy were amazing hosts, Judy even went for walks with my daughter and gave my children a big Easter basket full of candy. My kids would be made if we didn't mention the sweet little dog sheeba that came to visit us daily. I can't wait to see the changes they are making to their already beautiful property.

Great country getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 4 ladies looking for a weekend away from the city. We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Mooresville Guest House! We were greeted by Judy and the neighborhood dog Sheba. The fresh cut flowers were a lovely touch. Judy and Jack are amazing hosts! Judy brought us freshly baked banana bread and accommodated our request for a grill on Saturday night. Jack's craftsmanship is unparalleled. The house is beautiful, every detail well thought out. The kitchen table is beautiful!

Guest Margaret wrote: The cabin was Very well and thoughtfully stocked, spacious and clean, homey and comfortable. And the best rent-a-dog I've ever met!!!!!

Guest Tammy wrote: Appreciate the craftsmanship and the quiet. And coffee.

We'll be back to sit on the porch swing and enjoy more coffee! Thank you Jack and Judy for an amazing getaway weekend!
