Average, but not great

Our family of four stayed in this home for three nights over Christmas holidays. The house was ok but it’s very old and parts of it are not well maintained. It looks great at a glance, but upon staying in the home, we discovered a few things that we weren’t very happy with. First, It’s not very clean. It’s been surface cleaned but it’s clear that a thorough cleaning hasn’t been done in a long time. The driveway wasn't shoveled upon arrival and we were informed we could park on the driveway, so we had to shovel it with a small shovel. The furnace was quite loud. The kitchen was old and not very clean. There were a few lights burned out too. We also only had one roll of toilet paper for a family of four so we had to buy some.

A few positive points were that we were able to bring our dog, the bathroom was renovated and the decor was nice. It was also a pretty decent central location close to a greenspace, which was great for walking our dog.

Overall, the accommodation served our needs, but I don’t think we’d stay here again.

We’ve had much higher quality experiences in other VRBO and air bnb accommodations for similar prices.

Location is great

Convenient location and a sweet character home.

The home is of an era and style that has great charm and character, and improvements have been made where it counts (bathroom in particular). It was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The linens and towels were top quality! We very much appreciated having our dog with us. Thank you and we would stay again in the future.
