This Villa (ID 235) provides a luxurious and utterly memorable experience, situated in an elevated position with stunning views to the sea, which is only 1km away, whilst enjoying a beautifully mild climate. The newly built Villa is stylishly decorated and offers all the desired home comforts for you and your guests.

The Villa offers a modern and spacious Open Plan Living and Dining space with a beautifully fitted Kitchen, very comfortable furniture and Sat TV with DVD player. A spiral staircase leads you to the upper floor. To fully enjoy your stay, you must relax outside on one of the numerous Sun Terraces which offer a cool breeze, relaxation and the experience of 'al-fresco dining' with a large family size BBQ.

Inside the newly built Villa, the sleeping accommodation consists of 2 Double Bedrooms, the Master of which enjoys its own private Jacuzzi, bathroom and secluded Terrace on the loft floor.

The ground floor offers a second Double Bedroom, a third Bedroom with a set of bunkbeds and a pull out bed and a modern Showeroom.

In total therefore sleeping accomodation for 9 to 10 persons, divided into 3 bedrooms.

The Villa sits in a beautiful and generous garden of 1500sqm which is very secluded and private, offering stunning views of the Valley below which stretches to the Sea. Fences surround the property where needed and so it is in all effect child friendly, however it should be noted that the Swimming Pool although only 0.9m deep and perfect for children, has open access.

The location of The Villa lends itself to guests either preferring a relaxing holiday or an active holiday, with the Historical medieval towns of the Ligurian hills close to hand and the glamorous towns of Monte Carlo, San Remo with their beaches, Casinos and buzzing nightlife, as well as the golf and paragliding sports, being located just 15km away.

Please be aware that access to the property is via a steep slope, so experienced drivers are advised.

Ventimiglia:

Ventimiglia is a town and in Liguria northern Italy, in the Province of Imperia and is located 130km southwest of Genoa by rail with a population of approximately 25,000.

It is a town of great historic and architectural interest, amongst them being the remains of a Roman theatre dating back to early part of the 2nd century, the ancient city walls are also visible in places.

It is no surprise that Ventimiglia is such a popular tourist destination, as it has such a temperate climate and something of interest for everyone. A host of fine restaurants and bars, lovely beaches, sheer cliffs and breathtaking scenery. There is a famous weekly market which is held each Friday and covers a vast area with bargains galore.

Some places of interest for you to visit are the Hanbury Botanical Gardens, Villa of Sir Thomas Hanbury - La Mortola, are the largest and most spectacular in Italy. In addition to lush mediterranean vegetation, the gardens with flights of steps are also filled with beautiful fountains, pergolas, pools, sculptures, statues and temples on each level. Also, The Church of San Michele Arcangelo, which was constructed in the 10th century by the Counts of Ventimiglia. It was later assigned to the Benedictins of Linns. Close to the town are the Genoese Fortresses of Forte San Paolo, Fortezza dell'Annuziata and Castel d'Appio.

Beware misleading promo materials.

Access via very steep road with three alarmingly steep hairpins, too steep to walk without frequent stops - a frightening drive.

Poorly equipped kitchen - no microwave, frying pan, kettle, tea towels.

Ground floor bathroom, in particular the shower, was dirty.

Upstairs you could only stand in the middle of the bedroom. The jacuzzi/bath was under the eaves, and a standing shower was impossible. In the en suite one could not stand in front of the wash basin or wc. There was no hanging space for clothes in this bedroom.

The fourth "bedroom" is an unfurnished outbuilding. In the living room/dining room there was comfortable seating for only three people, on one settee.

The flattering photos and descriptions on promotional material do not, in our opinion, accurately reflect the standard of this property.

Huis op een te steile bergopgang

Wij hebben dit huis in juli/augustus twee weken met twee families met kinderen gehuurd. Wij komen tot de volgende opsomming voor dit huis:

Pluspunten:

* tuin met privacy

* 2 km van het Ventigmila strand

* ruimte in en om het huis is voldoende aanwezig

* klein zwembadje voor de kinderen

* voldoende keukengerei aanwezig

Minpunten:

* ligt op berg die erg stijl is (20-25% stijgingspercentage), 1 van de auto's kwam niet naar boven. Zelfs een geoefende rijder krijgt hier zweetdruppels van. Deze berg is bijna niet lopend te doen.

* uitzicht valt tegen: links ligt op 50 meter hoogte de A10 die dwars door het dal gaat, daarnaast is er een rivierbedding te zijn met heel veel kassen

* kleine woonkamer, als je met regen zou vertoeven komt dit op je af

* Op de1e verdieping is alleen in het midden te lopen

* de bedden waren niet super, veren staken uit sommige matrassen

* geen wifi aanwezig (obv de huurprijs mag je dit wel verwachten)

* strand is niet lopend bereikbaar

* Tv werkte niet

Ventigmilia is een grensplaats die erg druk en niet leuk is, strand is wel aardig. Oud Bordighera en het strand zijn leuk. Over het algemeen vonden wij de omgeving niet leuk, we zijn van Italië beter gewend.

Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Kommen gerade aus der Villa Palma zurück. Leider verging die Woche wie im Flug. Die Reise begann schon bei der Buchung sehr erfreulich, denn vom Verwaltungsteam fühlten wir uns ungewöhnlich gut betreut! Vor Ort fanden wir einen mit Getränken bereits gut bestückten Kühlschrank vor, sowie Olivenöl, Geschirrspülmmittel usw. (-:

Wir haben uns wunderbar erholt in dem hübschen Haus. Sehr zu empfehlen auch für Halter größerer Hunde, da "ausbruchsicheres" Grundstück. (Kleine Hunde kämen durch die Gitterstäbe, wenn sie wollten.) Neben vielen anderen gibt es auch einen Hundestrand nur 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Am Meer haben wir auch empfehlenswerte Lokale gefunden. Schöner Ausblick und gute Küche. Kurzum, für Familien mit und und ohne Haustier ein lohnendes Urlaubsziel!

Notes:

  • All furniture is new and very stylish. We have kids and the house is built for it, with fences where needed. The pool is only 0.90 m deep and has free access; therefore please do not leave very small children alone. The size of the villa triples in summer as the terraces take over the function of living and dining room day and night.
