Please read before staying.
We arrived to the villa for our first stay in Jamaica for 8 days this summer, the house is absolutely beautiful and well upkept. The home's architecture resembles a modern spanish villa with beautiful glass and accent walls throughout . We had a party of four, two couples so the house space was perfect. We were greeted by Orsi , Michaels wonderful assistant . She is knowledgeable about the area and is very warm and friendly. On the other side of the spectrum, understand that the owner is very hands-on with the property. He monitors your Energy usage. While at the home , he took the A/C remotes from us and told us that we used to much energy. We then slept in heat for the remainder of the trip. We also had a minor incident where one of the women on our trip was yelled at by the owner and threatened to be removed from the home because of semi permanent hair dye on his shower and towels. We were threatened with lawsuits and felt really uncomfortable . We bought a cleaning solution and cleaned the shower no stains were left , however at that point everyone was on edge because of the temper of the owner. I have rented numerous houses on HomeAway and never have I experienced this kind of treatment from a owner , after paying over three thousand US dollars and being asked to pay more for "damages to linen". In summary, the house is very beautiful , but I recommend staying somewhere else for the money and the peace of mind , especially if you want privacy and not be treated semi in humane.
