About the property

The ideal place to relax, in from of the beach and close to the city center.

Our apartment is located in Cartagena’s Marbella neighborhood, across from the beach and few blocks from the historic city center (about 5 minutes by bus or by taxi) and just a short distance to the airport (about 7 minutes’ travel).

Marbella is one of the safest areas in Cartagena and the building has 24-hour security.

You’ll really love this place because it allows you to be in Cartagena, very close to the walled city, right across from the beach, with all the amenities to enjoy your free time: gym, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, BBQ area; as well as work and stay connected with your friends and family since there are two Internet connections in the apartment. Additionally, both bedrooms and one of the bathrooms have great panoramic views of the ocean.

This apartment is great for couples, friends and business travelers:

Couples and friends - it’s the ideal place to relax and unwind in a secure environment, across from the beach and close to the city center. And if this is your type of get away, you can’t pass up having a nice dinner on the balcony with the dim lights of the city in the distance.

Business travelers – there’s a double internet connection so you are able to work even if there a power outage. The average internet speed is 10 Mbps for downloading and 2.12 Mbps for uploading on one of the connections and a speed of 4.67 Mbps for downloading and 0.62 Mbps for uploading on the other connection. There is also a desk for working.

It’s a spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment (the master bedroom has an in suite bathroom – both bedrooms and in suite bathroom have an ocean view), kitchen, living/dining room, balcony, and work area.

Both bedrooms have an ocean view and include two beds each, so the apartment is optimal for 2, 3 and/or 4 people.

Each bedroom has its own TV with cable and the master bedroom has Apple TV.

The bathrooms and kitchen have hot water, and all the rooms including the living room have air conditioning. The kitchen is fully equipped; microwave, coffee maker, blender, etc. The apartment comes with blankets, towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap.

Additionally, there is an assigned parking spot in the buildings garage and the possibility to use the shared parking at the front of the building.

The rent includes use of all social areas: pool, 2 Jacuzzis, kids game area, gym, sauna and steam room, BBQ area (the BBQ area is located on the pool deck and 24hr notice must be given to administration if you want to use it and there’s an additional 10 dollars’ charge from the building for cleaning of this area).

The building has 3 elevators and is located on la Carrera 2, very close to the airport (approx. 7 minutes away), across from the ocean and some 10 blocks from the historic Cartagena city center.

Additionally, the building has its own electric generator which ensures around the clock power.

We, as foreigners living in Cartagena, chose this apartment because it’s the perfect spot for being close to the historic city center and shopping where there are countless restaurants, clothing stores, handmade crafts, etc., across from the beach and in a peaceful area where you can relax.

There’s a supermarket located one block away and behind the building there are shops.

We can help you with anything you need: restaurant recommendations, places to visit, etc. so you have a great stay in the city.

The Neighborhood: Marbella is one of the safest areas in the city and the apartment is located in one of the best zones.

Bus lines are easily accessible. Transcaribe (Cartagena’s new transportation system that has air-conditioning and is very fast) passes by the building and stops at a nearby block (the trip costs around 0.70 cents per person).

Additionally, being located on one of the main roads, there are taxis available 24 hours a day and there’s an official block about half a block away (the price from the apartment to the old city is approx. 2 dollars=6.000 colombian pesos). You can also use EasyTaxi and Uber.

We speak English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Nuestro apartamento está ubicado en el barrio de Marbella, justo al frente de la playa y a unas pocas cuadras del centro histórico (puedes llegar a él en bus, 5 minutos –transcaribe- el precio es de 0.70 dólares aproximadamente por persona o en taxi, 5 minutos, el valor del taxi es de aproximadamente 2 dólares) y a pocos minutos del aeropuerto (unos 7 minutos desde el aeropuerto al apartamento).

Marbella es una de las zonas más seguras de Cartagena y el edificio cuenta con guardia 24 hs.

Vas a amar mi lugar porque te permite estar en Cartagena, muy cerca de la ciudad amurallada, justo al frente del mar, con todas las comodidades tanto para disfrutar del tiempo libre: gimnasio, pileta, jacuzzi, sauna seco y húmedo, zona de bbq; así como trabajar y estar conectado con familiares y amigos, sin problemas ya que contamos con dos conexiones de internet en el apartamento. Además de las hermosas vistas panorámicas desde ambos cuartos y uno de los baños.

Mi lugar es bueno para parejas, amigos y viajeros de negocios.

Para parejas y amigos, porque es el lugar ideal para descansar, estar tranquilos, en un ámbito seguro, frente al mar y cerca del centro. Si este es tu tipo de viaje, no puedes dejar de tener una linda cena en el balcón, con las tenues luces de la ciudad de fondo.

Para viajeros de negocios, porque contamos con doble conexión de internet que te asegura poder trabajar aún cuando se corta la luz. La velocidad de internet promedio es de 10 Mbps Download speed y de 2.12 Mbps Upload speed en una de las redes y de 4.67 Mbps Download speed y de 0.62 Mbps Upload speed en la otra. Además tenemos un escritorio para trabajar en el cuarto.

Se trata de un apartamento amplio, de dos alcobas con dos baños (la alcoba principal tiene baño en suite – ambas alcobas y el baño en suite tienen vista al mar), cocina, living-comedor, balcón y zona de labores.

Ambas alcobas cuenta con vista al mar y tienen dos camas cada una, por lo que el apartamento es óptimo para 2, 3 o 4 personas. Cada cuarto tiene su propio tv con cable, también tiene Apple Tv en la habitación principal con Netflix gratis (si quieres ver películas el precio de las mismas deberás abonarlo adicionalmente).

Los baños y la cocina tienen agua caliente. Y tanto los cuartos como el living tienen aire acondicionado.

La cocina está totalmente equipada, cuenta con microondas, cafetera, licuadora, etc.

El apartamento se entrega con sábanas, toallas, shampoo, crema de enjuague y jabón.

Además, posee parqueadero propio cubierto en el garaje del edificio, y posibilidad de uso del parqueadero común frente al edificio.

El alquiler incluye el uso de todas las áreas sociales: piscinas, 2 jacuzzis, zona de juegos para niños, gimnasio, sauna seco y sauna húmedo, área de bbq (el área de bbq se encuentra en la terraza de la piscina y en caso de querer usar la parrilla, se debe avisar 24 hs antes a la administración y su uso tiene un costo adicional de 10 dólares que cobra el edificio para la limpieza de la misma).

El edificio cuenta con 3 ascensores y se encuentra ubicado sobre la carrera 2, muy cerca del aeropuerto, desde donde puedes llegar en taxi (7 minutos aproximadamente), justo al frente del mar y a unas 10 cuadras del centro histórico de Cartagena.

Además, tiene generador eléctrico propio que asegura el suministro de energía eléctrica todo el tiempo.

Nosotros, como extranjeros viviendo en Cartagena, lo elegimos porque es el lugar perfecto para estar cerca del centro histórico y del shopping donde hay muchos restaurantes, negocios de ropa, artesanías, etc., frente a la playa y en un área tranquila donde también uno puede relajarse.

A una cuadra hay un supermercado y en la parte de atrás del edificio hay almacenes.

Podemos ayudarte con todo lo que necesites: recomendaciones de restaurantes, lugares para visitar, etc. para que tengas una excelente estadía en la ciudad.

El Barrio: Marbella es uno de los barrios más seguros de la ciudad y el apartamento se encuentra ubicado en una de las mejores zonas, sobre la Av Santander, frente al mar con una vista privilegiada.

Las líneas de autobuses son de fácil acceso. Transcaribe (el nuevo sistema de transporte de Cartagena, con aire acondicionado y muy rápido) pasa justo frente al edificio y tiene su parada a una cuadra (cuesta alrededor de 0.70 centavos de dólar el viaje por persona).

Además, al estar sobre una de las calles principales, hay taxis disponibles las 24 hs y a media cuadra hay una parada oficial. También, puedes usar EasyTaxi y Uber.

Wonderful!

I stayed here for 8 days in October - what a dream! The view is spectacular, the apartment is beautiful, and the location is perfect. The beach is right across the street, and other beaches are just a 5-10 minute taxi ride away. If you like history, you'll love Old Town. It's very easy to get there by taxi, again just 5-10 minutes right to the heart of the historic center. Roseangela is an amazing host and was very helpful in supplying me with information and answered any questions I had. Cartagena is an amazing town! If you are traveling here, I highly recommend booking this property.
