Gone to the Beach is located only five minutes walk from Reeds Bay with it's white sandy beach and crystal clear water. The property is located in a quiet secure community of 4 apartments on a ridge offering breathtaking views of the West Coast and Caribbean Sea. The apartment has two bedrooms one with queen sized bed the other has two single beds both with air conditioning and ceiling fans and large wardrobes.The lounge and kitchen are well equipped with wide screen TV, DVD player and wireless Broadband internet connection. The kitchen has all modern amenities including microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.

All windows have bug screens and are secure.

The covered Deck area will provide you with a plunge pool (sole use) dining area and sun loungers overlooking the landscape gardens, a perfect environment for relaxation and enjoyment.

We have all had a fantastic holiday and really enjoyed staying in your fabulous apartment!

We loved that it was so spotlessly clean, comfortable and so well equipped, I can honestly not think of one single thing that would make it any more perfect!

We hope to return again soon and would not hesitate to recommend to all our friends.

We fly home tomorrow, We are currently in a sea front apartment just up the road from yours in Mullins Bay, sadly the apartment does not live up to your standards in the cleanliness department! On arrival I spent the first couple of hours cleaning the kitchen! Luckily though the location is fabulous and we are enjoying the outside space and snorkelling. There is a restaurant next door called Bombas that serves the most amazing fish, curries and chicken pesto linguine, we have ate there a lot!! We met and chatted to Cliff Richard in there last night so that made my holiday :)

Great apartment with great location!

The apartment is amazing. We really loved it!

Pat (the owner) contacted us prior to our stay and provided us with all information in order for us the enjoy our holidays as much as possible. If you have questions for her she replies very quickly to all your questions. Rachel, who is on site and takes care of the apartment, was there to welcome us when we arrived and she's very nice. She gave us some very useful information and tips about the island.

The place was really clean (housekeeper comes twice a week) and lovely decorated (we love the big mirrors everywhere), the patio with the pool is perfect especially for breakfast and cool down after a day in the sun at the beach.

The beach at the bottom of the hill (Reeds Bay beach I think it's called) is located only 1 minute away by car or 5 minutes walking (maybe 10 minutes if you walk back up) was to us the best of all beaches to our criteria: no or very few tourist, quiet and beautiful and nice reefs on both sides with lots of fishes to swim with if you like snorkeling.

Then if you rent a car, which we'd advice you do, you can easily go around the island to see the different sites and numerous beaches. If not, taxis and buses are an easy way to go around the island.

We highly recommend this apartment and hope you'll spend vacations as great as ours was :-)

This apartment oozes quality, the furnishings, style and decor complimented by the position with its view of the Caribbean sea, are just stunning! If you are looking to spend a self catering holuday in Barbados and some where you can book with confidence, look no further you've found it!!

A slice of fresh Caribbean paradise!

We stayed at Gone to the Beach early December in a last minute pre Christmas get away. The apartment is one of three in a pretty, purpose built property purched on the hillside between the Royal Westmoreland golf club and the blue Caribbean Sea.

Everything was spotlessly clean and well provisioned with cooking utensils, etc, although I did search everywhere, unsuccessfully, for a can opener!

Nice flat screen telly and a great Bose speaker with iPhone / iPad dock (the older wide docking slot).

The apartment is very private and felt very safe. It is next to the road going up the hill but we didn't hear any traffic early in the morning or late at night.

The apartment has its own parking so hire a car and explore the beauty of Barbados. Can recommend cocktails at Mullins beach bar, flying fish cutters at Crane Beach Cutters, the Fish Pot in Speightstown, Huntes Gardens, Bottom Bay, I could go on and on...

Only issue we had is that the broadband wasn't working, but I'm sure that's fixed by now and, to be honest, it was nice to not be able to check work emails.

Lovely apartment in ideal location

The apartment's location is up the hill from the main road between Holetown and Speightstown, so you have lovely views from the terrace down to the sea, in the mornings while having breakfast you can watch the humming birds in the hedgerow flowers, or the green monkeys as they might pass through the garden, and spot the cruise liners passing on the horizon towards Bridgetown.

As the sun moves round, the terrace gets much hotter, and is in full sun by mid afternoon!! We named the lizard that basked in the heat 'Humphrey' after the detective in 'Death in Paradise'. We had lots of other birds visit, as well as a Green Heron that stalked up and down the hedge and caught lizards!!

The local beach is lovely, and worth the 5 minute walk down (10 minutes back up!). Everyone you pass greets you with a smile.

The apartment is well equipped, we used the washing machine ( a top loader, and quick) and the large bed very comfortable, and the bedroom relatively cool because it is built into the hillside. At night we would move indoors to avoid bitten insects, but not until we had watched the sun going down over the sea.

There is traffic on the adjacent road, but Gone to the Beach is further from the road and occasional traffic noise is muffled by the vegetation.

The wifi was very useful, TV limited, but there are lots of DVDs and CDs if that is what you like. Lots of beach towels to use, too.

Rachel who manages the apartment was very helpful on our arrival and departure, and also getting the hot water sorted out ( a problem with the solar heating).

We used the local buses a lot, and hired a car for a couple of days to visit places hard to get to by bus). The sat nav was useless!! Good job I had a really good map!!

We liked Mullins Beach Bar, and of course, Oistins Friday Fish Fry. St Nicholas Abbey is an interesting visit, the focus is very much on the fine fittings and the rum. The slavery on the plantation is glossed over. Sunbury Plantation House gives you a much better take on that aspect of local history.

I would recommend to anyone to stay at 'Gone to the Beach'

The best

The appartment was excellent,just like the description,we spent 3wks having a wonderful time.the location was great for the beach,and buses at end of road.Kimberly the house keeper was very helpful,and kept the appartment very clean.we spent a lot of time mixing with the locals at john moores rum shack,prices were very reasonable,at the beach every day a lady called amie comes in her van,you can purchase an excellent bajan lunch( Gibbs beach) .Pat the owner was very helpful,with all the information,thanks again for letting us use your great holiday home.

Beautiful apparment. My girl friend and I were In paradise. Rachael and Kate were very helpful and welcomed us to the apparment. The driver Jason was very kind and courteous. I would definatly recomend hireing him to pick you up from the airport. The appartment was very clean and the view is beautiful. Everyone on the street from the apparment to the beach is very friendly and nice. We found the closest beach to be the nicest of all the beaches we visited in Barbados. Crystal clear ocean water and palm trees for shade. Also, the plunge pool is perfect to cool off in. If you do not rent a car the local bus stop is a just off the beach which makes getting around the island very easy. Both Speightstown and Holetown are beautiful and have everything you could need and only a 5 min bus ride away. I would definatly return to this appartment and I would recomend it to anyone wanting to have an amazing vacation.
