Heritage Mews is perfectly situated to enjoy a holiday in Stratford-upon-Avon. The historic town centre with its beautiful architecture and unique atmosphere is just a short stroll away. Visit nearby Holy Trinity Church (you can see the spire from the cottage), one of Britain's most beautiful parish churches on the banks of the River Avon, and see Shakespeare's grave - two or three minutes' walk from the cottage. From here there is a delightful riverside walk to the town centre, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Bancroft Gardens. Or walk into town along Old Town past Hall's Croft, Shakespeare's daughter's home, and down Church Street with its half-timbered buildings. Enjoy Stratford's excellent shopping, with galleries, antique centres and interesting independent shops as well as well-known high street stores. Stratford-upon-Avon offers a fantastic choice of places to eat out - award-winning restaurants, bistros, pubs, cafes, coffees shops and traditional tea rooms. Relax at one of the many coffee shops and cafes in the town or on the water front. Take in the atmosphere at the famous Dirty Duck inn with a terrace overlooking the river. One parking space is through the gate at the end of the garden - convenient for unloading your car. The second space is in an adjacent courtyard. Enjoy the convenience of parking your cars safely within the private mews and explore this beautiful historic town on foot. All the famous sites and attractions, shops and restaurants are a short stroll away.

EXTENDED PARKING: Make the most of your holiday with our extended parking. Guests who would like to arrive early in Stratford to spend time in town can park one car at Heritage Mews from 11am on arrival day and check in later after 3pm. On departure day, having vacated by 10am, you can park one car until 2pm. Extended parking is subject to availability - please request in advance.

There is an extractor fan and a shaver point. Complimentary toiletries and high quality Eqyptian cotton towels and bath mats are provided - a bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel for each guest.

Both beds have comfortable pocket-sprung mattresses, quality duvets, pillows, throws and luxurious Egyptian cotton linen. Optional flat sheets and spare blankets are also provided. Each bedroom has a hairdryer, a DAB radio with iPod / MP3 connection, an alarm clock and a portable fan. COT (CRIB) & BABY EQUIPMENT: a 'Mamas & Papas' beech wood baby's cot (crib), with 2 sets of cotton cot linen, can be added to the single bedroom on request for an additional charge of £25 per week or short break. Other items of baby and toddler equipment, including a stairgate, high chair/booster seat and bath tub are also available on request; there is no additional charge for these. We have aimed to provide all the 'difficult to carry' items if you are travelling by air or train with your baby or toddler. Or just make life easier if you are travelling by car. In summer, there is a profusion of colour with geraniums, cosmos daisies, clematis and fuchsias. Step outside from the sitting room and dine or relax in seclusion. There is sun from morning until late afternoon and a small tree provides shade if needed. In autumn & winter there are colourful pots of pansies and violas, clipped box trees and evergreens with berries. In spring daffodils, primroses and hellebores are in bloom. WI-FI BROADBAND INTERNET ACCESS: unlimited free internet access (wireless or cable connection) - password protected (with WPA encrytion) for security. PAYPHONE with free line to owners. Roberts digital radio/CD sound system with IPOD DOCK.

Everything we hoped for, and more

Located in a pleasant and quiet neighbourhood, comfortably furnished, and beautifully equipped and maintained, this lovely property was ideal for our week's stay in Stratford-upon-Avon. Val and Simon had thought of everything you could need, and with fresh flowers throughout, good toiletries and a very nice welcome pack (which was much appreciated), we found everything very much to our liking. We enjoyed walks alongside the river and by the canal, with its long flight of locks, and we also loved just strolling around the town with its beautiful historical buildings and parkland - and all this within easy walking distance from the front door. The town has eateries galore to choose from if you want to dine out, and a good array of independent little shops, which is always nice to find these days. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this delightful house with its colourful little garden, and will happily recommend it.

Superb and super clean!

The house is very class to the centre of Stratford Upon Avon (about 10/15 min walk to most of the main sites.) It was super clean with lots of really thoughtful touches: lovely snacks and tea/coffee/fresh milk we're waiting for us when we arrived. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful Gem

Perfect cottage, perfect location

This cottage is immaculately maintained, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owners are very helpful and met us on arrival to hand over the keys and give advise on the area. One of the best assets is its location, a flat 10min walk and you are either in the town centre or sat on the grass by the river outside the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. As others have mentioned we had fresh flowers in rooms and an excellent selection of refreshments on arrival.

We will be returning !!!!

A gem of a property.

My wife and I have rented many holiday homes in the UK and although some descriptions proved too good to be true, this was certainly not the case at this house. It is an absolute gem - immaculate inside and out and superbly equipped, a delightful courtyard garden, and parking which can be accessed via latter. We rarely eat out preferring to support the local economy by shopping at farmers markets and at other local producers, to have a fully equipped kitchen was therefore a real bonus. Our thanks to Val and Simon for making up the bed with sheets and blankets. With so much to see and do in Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding area we very much hope we can return to this property.

Wonderful stay in a superb property

The house was very well appointed, very clean and comfortable. There was a welcome tray, a wealth of information and the nice touch of fresh flowers in every room. The garden was very attractive although unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough for us to sit out. On a fine day it would be perfect. The house is located in a very quiet area but close enough to the town for a gentle walk in on level ground. It has the advantage of two parking spaces. All in all it was the perfect home from home.
